Villa Gypsum is located in Alikianos, a small rural village situated approximately 12km from Chania Town and 9km from the coast. What you should know…
- If you are heading into Chania for dinner, it is best to pre-book a dinner table though there are also plenty of walk-ins
- If you have more than twelve guests, you are welcome to use the sofas in the living room as extra sleeping spaces
- If you would like the swimming pool heated, the cost will be Euro75 per day and you should let us know at least three days in advance of your holiday

About the surrounding area of Villa GypsumVilla Gypsum is situated in the tranquil village of Alikianos, located 12km from the Old Town of Chania and 9km from the nearest beach. How to reach Chania
There are two ways to reach Chania: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: Chania Airport (CHQ) is only a 20 minutes ride away from central Chania. During the summer months, frequents overseas and domestic flights are performed. In most of the cases, there are available buses that connect Chania city and most of the villas. You can also hire a car from one of the many rental companies at the airport, or alternatively get a taxi to bring you right to your doorstep.
By ferry: If you choose to do an island-hopping trip and use the ferry as a method of transportation, then the closest port is in Souda, only 8km from the centre of Chania. Only ferries from Piraeus in Athens or Heraklion in Crete. Heraklion port has a wider choice: you can also take a ferry from other Greek islands like Santorini, Mykonos or Paros, but you will have to take a longer bus ride to reach your villa. Exceptional
Everything is absolutely amazing. From the wonderful welcome of the staff to the location and the facilities.
It’s located close enough to Chania that we regularly visited for dinner. But closer by there is some lovely taverns that are worth visiting. The house itself is in a very quiet neighbourhood, very peaceful.
We appreciated all the service, the house was lacking nothing. Plenty of toiletries, garbage bags, laundry detergent and cooking supplies, we wanted for nothing. We stayed for a week and they cleaned the whole house and changed our sheets and towels which was much appreciated.
We booked a boat trip through the staff and made use of all their tips regarding what to see and do in the area which was very helpful. -
