Designed with luxury and comfort in mind, Villa Mico is a beautiful, six-bedroom villa accommodating up to twelve guests, situated near the pretty village of San Agustin. The property is decorated throughout in dazzling whites and soft greys, with modern furnishings and colourful decorative touches. The living area is incredibly spacious and bright, with huge sliding glass doors that allow in plenty of natural light and showcase gorgeous rural views. A huge grey corner sofa dominates the room, just begging to be sunk into at the end of a long day, and there is a large flat screen TV for your entertainment, complete with SKY and a DVD player, as well as an integrated sound system. From here, guests can access a private balcony - the perfect spot for starting the day with a morning cuppa or for indulging in a nightcap.

The dining space offers ample room for indoor meals and leads out onto a covered terrace, which is furnished with armchairs for quiet moments of relaxation or for simply enjoying a good book. The villa’s kitchen is spacious and modern, decked out in stainless steel and gleaming surfaces that mean cooking here together as a family is a delight. The appliances are high-end and professional-grade and include an oven and microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, juicer, coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine.

Villa Mico features six modern and stylish bedrooms, all decorated to the same high standard as the common areas and featuring plush beds, large fitted wardrobes and air conditioning. Sorting out the sleeping arrangements for you and your guests will be easy, as the villa offers three twin rooms, two double bedrooms and a master suite with a king-size bed. The master benefits from ensuite bath and shower facilities, as well as a TV and a private terrace that offers guests breathtaking views of the hills and port. One of the double rooms also features a private terrace and enjoys ensuite shower facilities. Guests can make use of a further two bathrooms with modern showers.

The grounds of Villa Mico are just as spacious and beautiful and include a well-maintained garden with almond, orange and lemon trees, as well as a fabulous outdoor barbecue and dining area which can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests - just perfect for enjoying alfresco meals while taking in the stunning views. You’ll also find several furnished terraces for relaxing and, of course, a fabulous private pool surrounded by loungers and daybeds for the ultimate holiday luxury.

Villa Mico is located near the village of San Agustin, one of the best-preserved and prettiest villages on the island. With its picture postcard good looks and breathtaking panoramic views of the San Jose hills and countryside, a visit here is highly recommended! The 19th-century Esglesia de Sant Agusti church, with its solid walls, cubic design and bell tower, is a wonderful example of Ibicenco architecture, and the traditional-style houses with their unusual chimneys and immaculately-trimmed hedges are real sight to behold. You’ll discover a lovely little restaurant in the village that serves up a local fare on a stunning terrace and even an art gallery.

If you’re lucky enough to be visiting San Agustin towards the end of August, you can join the locals for a week of celebrations as they enjoy their annual village festival, which includes a church procession, traditional folk dancing and concerts that carry on long into the night.

The villa is situated just a five-minute drive from San Jose, a village bursting with traditional charm, where visitors come to enjoy a friendly local atmosphere that is far removed from the island’s world-famous party scene. Life here is laidback and easy-going, and you’ll find plenty of wonderful bars and restaurants to enjoy during your stay, giving you a chance to sample delicious Ibicencan cuisine, seafood and tapas. Souvenir hunters will be pleased to know that there are also some lovely little shops in the village selling local handmade goods and fashions, antiques, and children’s toys.

The nearest beach to Villa Mico is Cala Tarida, which is around a ten-minute drive from San Jose. This beautiful stretch of white sand is set in a sheltered bay and is the longest and widest beach on this side of the island. The waters are crystal clear and shallow, making it a good choice for those with children, although parents should be aware of underwater rocks and currents. There are shops right on the beach where you can buy inflatables and snorkel gear, as well as a variety of beach bars and restaurants where you can grab anything from drinks and snacks to three-course gourmet meals.

There are great amenities available here, including sunbeds and parasols, public toilets, lifeguards and disabled access. If you want to do more than just lay back and soak up the sun, there is a range of watersports available here, including kayaking and jet-skiing.

Children are sure to enjoy a stay at Villa Mico, thanks to its modern, spacious rooms, familiar home comforts - and, of course, that wonderful private pool! It will be easy to keep the kids entertained while you’re preparing meals or getting ready for the day, with SKY TV, a DVD player and WiFi, and there’s plenty of space outside for them to play too! Parents should be aware that the pool is unfenced, and the walkway around it is narrow in places, so the little ones will need to be well-supervised - however, the water is easily accessible via steps, so there’s no need to worry about them getting up and down a ladder.

The surrounding areas of the villa are a protected conversation area, and exploring them together as a family is easy thanks to well-marked walking and cycling routes - it’s a pleasant way to spend a morning together as a family. If you happen to have any little artists or photographers in your midst, Oliver recommends packing their art supplies and camera so that they can capture the stunning views in their own unique style.

The nearby villages of San Agustin and San Jose are situated far from the more crowded tourist areas on the island, and gentle, family strolls through the villages and surrounding hills are a relaxing way to spend your time. You’ll find some lovely shops selling souvenirs and restaurants to enjoy as a family. Young explorers will enjoy spending some time in the surrounding countryside, and there are lots of hiking routes that are suitable for all ages, including the route from Cala Bassa to Platges de Comte. At just under 40 minutes, it’s ‘doable’ for most age groups, offers beautiful sea views and takes you past one of the island’s coastal defence towers.

If you want to enjoy a family day at the beach, Cala Tarida is a good choice, thanks to its clear, shallow waters and good family-friendly amenities. There’s a specialised dive centre here, where older kids who aren’t as entertained by building sandcastles or paddling in the sea can learn basic diving techniques before exploring the seabed of the Ibizan coast.

Pool heating charge? Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
