As you enter the apartment, you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting open-plan living space flooded with natural light. The interior decor is modern yet cosy with wooden beams, plush sofas, a wall-mounted flatscreen TV, and a beautiful stone fireplace that adds a touch of rustic charm. The living room opens up to a balcony that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and is the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and all the necessary utensils to prepare delicious meals while the dining space features a large dining table that can seat up to ten people, perfect for enjoying meals with family and friends.

The apartment can accommodate up to 8 people across four bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. There are four bedrooms, each with comfortable beds with high-quality linens and plenty of storage space for personal belongings. Two of which feature double beds and private en-suite bathrooms and the additional two bedrooms have a set of twin beds and bunk beds respectively and have access to a separate toilet room and bathroom.

The location of Apartment Frimas is unbeatable, being just a few minutes' walk from the ski lifts, which will take you to the top of the mountain in no time, and the resort centre where you will find an array of shops, restaurants, and bars to explore.

  • While the apartment is conveniently located near the ski lifts, it is also situated on a busy road in the heart of the resort, which can be noisy at times
  • The parking area near the apartment can be limited during peak season, so let us know at the time of booking if you will need a space reserved for your visit
  • While the apartment does have a balcony with beautiful views, it is quite small and may not accommodate large groups of people

Apartment Frimas is situated in the heart of Val d'Isere, a world-renowned ski resort in the French Alps surrounded by natural beauty and adventure. The apartment is located just a short walk from the ski lifts and resort centre.

To get to Apartment Frimas, you can take a flight to Geneva or Lyon airports from most major airports, which are both just under a three-hour drive away. From there, you can take a private transfer, hire a ca,r or take a shuttle bus to Val d'Isere.

Once in Val d’Isere, you’ll find the resort to be fun and lively, with lots to see and do no matter the time of day. During the day, the village bustles with visitors and locals visiting the local boutiques, cosy cafes, and world-class spas in the area. Then, at night, the resort comes to life with its famous apres-ski scene, with live music performances, trendy nightclubs, and bars open until the early hours.

The ski lifts provide easy access to the vast ski area, offering over 300km of fun-packed pistes suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Val d'Isere offers a great range of winter activities to try, such as snowshoe tours, dog sledding, and tobogganing.

The Resort

Val d’Isere is the oldest of the French ski resorts and a gleaming icon at the end of the valley where the residential town lies. Surrounded by what is arguably some of the most beautiful mountain landscape in the world, the chalet village is centred around a charming baroque church. It’s a lovely place for wandering, taking in the cosy atmosphere and spending quality time with your favourite people.

Val d’Isere is composed of three skiing sections. These are La Daille, Val d’Isere centre and Le Fornet, all of which are linked by a free shuttle service. Alongside Tignes, the resort is part of a wider ski area known as Espace Killy, and a lift pass will get you access to its entirety. Ski season in both resorts stretches as long as May. 

Thanks to its high altitude, Val d’Isere is probably your most snow sure option for skiing in the French Alps. The village rests at 1850 metres and its peak on top of the La Grande Motte glacier is 3456 metres high. Sixty per cent of the resort’s pistes are set above 2200 metres, meaning that the skiing is consistently good but on rare occasions, bad weather can cause the slopes to close. It’s also important to keep in mind that Val d’Isere isn’t the best choice if you’re just finding your feet on the snow, and beginners may well find themselves challenged. On the flipside, Val d’Isere is one of the top choices for experienced skiers and snowboarders, with plenty of challenging black runs (such as the iconic Face the Bellevarde, where the 1992 Olympic men’s downhill was run).

And to go with some of the most exciting and picturesque skiing in France, down in the village you’ll find some amazing bars and restaurants. What better way to celebrate conquering that tricky black run than by indulging in some equally entertaining après-ski? On the mountain itself, you can start your evening with DJ’s and live music at La Folie Douce until the lifts close and then work your way into town.

Val d'Isere is a fantastic destination for families with children, and Apartment Frimas provides an ideal base for enjoying all that the resort has to offer.
The apartment itself has a spacious living area with a large TV where kids can easily kick back and relax to watch family-friendly shows and movies after a day on the slopes. Additionally, the apartment offers free WiFi access to all guests, allowing kids to connect their personal devices and browse, stream, and game throughout their stay.

In the wider resort, skiing and snowboarding are the most popular activities around, with the apartment being located close to the ski lifts, providing easy access to the slopes where children can take ski lessons or explore the mountain with their families. For new skiers, there are several ski schools in the area that cater specifically to kids, with programs that are designed to be both fun and educational.

For younger children who may not be ready for skiing or snowboarding, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in Val d'Isere like the kids play zone and an indoor soft play centre.

In the resort centre, Val d'Isere offers a variety of indoor activities for kids, such as a swimming pool and an ice rink. There is also a cinema in the area that screens family-friendly films, as well as a bowling alley for family fun.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
