Apartment Giorgia is a stylish, yet comfortable 1 bedroom apartment located in the Monti district of Rome, sleeping up to 4 guests. With plenty of space and everything you need, this spacious apartment is perfect for a couple's getaway or a trip with friends. Elegantly furnished, the apartment has a living and dining room, along with one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. An additional sofa bed makes this apartment both cosy and convenient, so a group of you can easily spread out.
The apartment is conveniently located on the 1st floor of the block, so you won’t have far to take your luggage before you can relax and unpack! Entering the apartment, you will find a welcoming open-plan kitchen, sleek and fully equipped, with a comfortable dining table seating 4 guests. Modern chic meets rustic elegance in this comfortable flat, with the interior combining both white-washed and exposed brick walls. Simple wooden beams lining the kitchen’s ceiling add to this classical, yet understated interior. The kitchen hosts an abundance of facilities, with 4 hot plates available for cooking up a fabulous family feast, and an electric coffee machine. Enjoy gazing out at the friendly buzz of the city, savouring the delectable scent of your morning espresso.
From the kitchen, a door leads you to a welcoming double bedroom, boasting a queen-size bed, TV, and en-suite bathroom. The room is stylishly decorated, with elegant, monochrome linen, classic Italian paintings adorning the walls, and a luxuriously spacious shower. To suit all guests, there is also an additional shower and toilet in the apartment.
While the bedroom is modestly tucked-away, the lounge is a bright and welcoming space, the perfect spot for laughing the night away together, or soaking up the summer sun beaming through its large window. The apartment is nestled on a quiet side street located in the charismatic Monti district. A bustling and eclectic area, Monti is brimming with restaurants, cafes, and shops, open all day long for you to enjoy. While you are within walking distance of classical Roman history, the Monti district remains a historically rich area. Its name derives from the word 'hill,' and it is geographically spread across many of the 7 hills of Rome.
You’ll find many amenities within easy reach of Apartment Giorgia, including public transport. Just a 20-minute walk away, you’ll find the renowned Termini Railway Station, an excellent way to explore the city and get a glimpse of Rome’s authentic culture. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece, and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and markets to check out in the surrounding area too.
Another scenic area within walking distance is Via Urbana, a trendy district filled with art, vintage and artisan shops, restaurants, and cafés. Of course, to witness some of the city’s timeless architecture, let yourself be astonished by the Piazza Della Madonna ai Monti, located literally minutes from your doorstep! The square itself is lively, with plenty of authentic food and drink on offer. You can also take a bit of a history lesson by visiting one of the square’s two churches. At the end of Via Urbana, you will find the largest Marian church, and one of the most significant in Rome: Santa Maria Maggiore. There are many famous Baroque churches in the Monti district, including the church of San Carlo and that of Sant' Andrea. Best Suited For: All AgesGiven the sleeping arrangements and layout of the flat, Apartment Giorgia is best suited for a couple or small groups of adults. However, you could use the double sofa-bed for the younger ones! The open-plan dining area is also suitable for gathering and dining together, as holidays are meant for.
Indeed, the Monti district of Rome is certainly more of a couple’s dream, with its abundance of cobbled streets and romantic delights in the form of cosy bars and restaurants on every corner. However, Rome boasts an abundance of family-friendly activities. Take a visit to Colle Oppio (The Oppian Hill) which has a pleasant playground, along with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.
Rome is one of the most historically rich cities in the world, and kids will be amazed by the astonishing amphitheatre that is the Colosseum. Back in its day, it could hold up to 50,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests. Kids will love seeing what life was like in the Roman Empire, seeing the ancient ruins, and learning about the history of the gladiators!
Of course, no city break is truly memorable without copious amounts of delicious food, and you really are in one of the world’s top spots. There are plenty of gelato shops within easy reach of your apartment and across the city, and kids will be spoilt for choice by the sheer number of mouth-watering flavours.
