Seget Donji is a delightful resort, especially for families. It offers plenty of beautiful pebble beaches which you can walk to from the villa. The sea is crystal clear and very inviting. The new marina has 400 moorings arranged along 11 jetties. It is a very pretty sight. It is very easy to take the water taxi over to Trogir or Ciovo plus there are some other lovely places to visit including the romantic coastal towns of Rogoznica and Primosten. The airport of Split is only 6km from this villa so you will be chilling out in no time! Near Seget Donji you will discover several ancient churches including the Church of St Danjela from the early Middle Ages and the Church of Gospe od Ruzarja which was built in 1758. The village offers a small shop for basics and for more you can hop across to Trogir where the fruit market is so colourful plus there is a very good butcher at the back of the market and a fish market across the road.

Trogir offers so much in the way of beaches, entertainment, scenery and restaurants. It is set within medieval walls on a tiny island, linked by bridges to both the mainland and to the far larger Ciovo Island. The Cipiko Palaces and St. Lawrence Cathedral are examples of the town’s incredible architecture. Building work started on the cathedral in 1213 though the main part wasn’t completed until 1250 and the bell tower was built between the 14th and 16th centuries. Visitors can climb the bell tower to appreciate the spectacular views from the top. The Cipiko Palaces were home to the town’s noble family in the 15th century. It is little wonder that Trogir was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. On summer nights everyone leaves the knotted, maze-like marble streets and heads to the wide seaside promenade lined with cafes, bars, restaurants and luxury yachts. You will find local honeys, wines, olive oils and grappa amongst the colourful local fruit and vegetable produce at the wonderful market.

Nearby are the islands of Brac and Hvar. Brac Island is blessed with stunning scenery, wonderful coves and, of course, the mesmerizing, picture-postcard Zlatni Rat Beach at Bol. Hvar is famed for its lavender fields and its reputation at Croatia’s coolest clubbing destination. Both are worth a boat trip to discover if you have time.

Primosten is a delightful resort, between the villa and Sibenik. The Our Lady of Loretto statue, a shrine to the Virgin Mary, stands above Primosten on Gaj hill. The site offers panoramic vistas of the resort. Primosten offers some lovely beaches, the most famous being Raduca Beach. The town also boasts one of the best-known clubs in Croatia, Aurora, which regularly attracts the very best DJ’s.

Rogoznica is also worth a trip. It lies on a peninsula that was formally the island of Koper. The town has one of the most beautiful ports and locals engage in farming, fishing and tourism. It boasts some wonderful, historic churches and a salt lake called ‘Dragon’s Eye. The beaches are lovely with plenty of watersports.

Split Old Town is an absolute gem and should not be missed. The promenade is a great attraction as well as the gorgeous Diocletian’s Palace.

Trogir, located on the central Adriatic coast, is an exceptional destination that has enchanted visitors for centuries. This historic town, with its stunning architecture and rich cultural heritage, stands as a testament to Croatia's enduring allure. Trogir's roots trace back to ancient times, and its history is a captivating tapestry that unfolds at every cobble-stoned corner. As you stroll through Trogir's
winding streets, you'll encounter layers of history etched into its very foundations.

Well-preserved medieval walls encircle the old town, which lies on a small island connected to the mainland and the island of Čiovo by bridges. The old town is listed a UNESCO World Heritage site, as the best preserved medieval town in Central Europe - as you enter through the city gates, you are stepping into a time capsule of history.

The Cathedral of St. Lawrence, a magnificent example of Romanesque-Gothic architecture, is a testament to the rich heritage of Trogir. Its imposing façade, adorned with intricate stone carvings, is a masterpiece in itself. Inside, you'll discover a stunning interior that beckons you to marvel at the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans who worked to create this sacred place.

The Kamerlengo Fortress, originally constructed by the Venetians in the 15th century, looms above the town's skyline, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic. This formidable structure speaks of Trogir's role as a stronghold in the region's tumultuous history.

Torgir's charm is perfectly captured in the daily market. Here, you'll find a vibrant display of local produce, handcrafted goods, and the warm hospitality of the locals. Strolling through the market, you can sample the freshest fruit, vegetables and seafood, and engage with the friendly vendors, providing a true taste of the Adriatic way of life.

The town’s connection to the sea is evident in its picturesque waterfront. The Riva, as it is known locally, is a hub of activity, lined with charming cafes and restaurants. Here, the sparkling waters of the Adriatic serve as the backdrop for a leisurely meal, creating an unforgettable dining experience. The coastal promenade, along with its bustling harbour, is a captivating evening walk as the sun sets behind the horizon.

For those seeking a more hands-on connection with the sea, Trogir has an array of water-based activities on offer. Sailing is a popular choice in the region, with numerous charter companies providing opportunities to explore the stunning nearby islands and coves. The clear waters of the Adriatic are absolutely perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and diving, allowing you to discover the region's rich underwater world.

Trogir's cultural calendar is brimming with celebrations, festivals and events showcasing the regions’s charm. From the vibrant Trogir Summer Festival featuring concerts, theatre performances, and art exhibitions, to the traditional Donkey Race, which is a delightful and unique experience that children will love.

Trogir's central location on the coast also makes it a brilliant base for exploring the wider Dalmatian region. Day trips to nearby destinations like Split and the islands of Brač and Šolta are easily accessible, providing a diverse range of experiences, from exploring vibrant cities and historic palaces, to enjoying the tranquil beauty of unspoiled natural landscapes.

Trogir is a town with a unique and timeless appeal, defined by the warm and welcoming nature of its inhabitants, who have a strong sense of community and are known for their hospitality. It’s a place where you can immerse yourself in the essence of the Mediterranean way of life. Its history, architecture, and coastal beauty entwine to make it a must-visit destination. This is a town that invites you to explore, to learn, and to experience the beauty of the past and the vitality of the present, making it an Adriatic treasure that lingers in the hearts and memories of all who visit.

Villa Limun is a wonderful family holiday destination. It is very geared to families with a children’s playground and other activities such as billiards and table tennis. The pool will also be the scene of much family fun no doubt.

Seget Donji is a wonderful, family friendly resort with great beaches including Medena, restaurants and shops. There is a fabulous complex at the end of the beach for activities and watersports. There are many beautiful beaches around Trogir including Rozac Beach, Okrug Beach, Mavarstica Beach, Copacabana Beach and Marinova Draga Beach.

On Ciovo Island, across the bridge from the old town of Trogir, the largest beach is Okrug Gornji though it does get crowded in summer. The pebbly, Kava Beach at Slatine is less crowded.

Children interested in history will enjoy the St Lawrence Cathedral and Fortress Kamerlengo in Trogir. There are amazing views from the top.

From Trogir, by boat, you can visit Bisevo Island and the coastal town of Komiza and explore the epic Blue Cave and Stiniva Bay. The Blue Cave is so amazing with the blue light. It is 24m long and 10-12m wide with 2 openings. The underwater canopy through the cave floods with sunlight which, when it passes through the water at first disappears and then fills the entire cave with a silver-blue resin.

In Split, the Wakeboard Cable Park is huge fun with 5 piers and several obstacles for wakeboarding and waterskiing fun. It can be very challenging but it a great day out. Children also love the maze of narrow streets in Split, the promenade and the parks.
