Overview

Pool Villa/House Modern Hot Tub All Bedrooms En-Suite

Villa Joli was built in 2018 to an exceptionally high standard. A lot of thought went into the design to make the most of the spectacular hillside plot. With four immaculate, spacious double bedrooms and bathrooms, it is ideal for a large family or a group of friends. The villa is situated in the charming hamlet of Cerovici, 2km from Drivenik and 10km from the alluring Crikvenica. With hillside views all around and incredible lush greenery, it is a very peaceful, secluded setting for a fabulous Croatian holiday.

Cerovici is a wonderful location, in that you are far away enough to escape the hoards of summer visitors when you want some blissful peace, but you are close enough if you want to pop in for some holiday entertainment.

The outdoor space of Villa Joli is both elegant and stunning. The covered outdoor kitchen and dining area has been designed with a vaulted roof, fabulous tiles around the kitchen and on the floor, a gorgeous barbecue and fantastic, modern furniture. With incredible mountain and garden views, it will be difficult to beat the ambience. The pool is lovely and surrounded by first class sun loungers. The jacuzzi will be a hit with any guests. There is a separate outdoor lounge area, perfect for an early evening drink and watching the sun go down. The lawn, trees and planting are gorgeous and mingle well with the brilliant blue sky and mountain backdrop.

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is contemporary with fabulously chic furnishings. Even the breakfast bar stools are super trendy and the light fittings so cool! The room is light and airy.

A super impressive staircase leads upstairs to bedrooms. All four bedrooms have huge comfortable beds and modern, stylish décor. The bathrooms are to die for with beautiful tiles and exquisite towels and linens. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with its own shower room, and one bedroom is so atmospheric up in the eaves with a lovely beamed ceiling.

Villa Joli is simply gorgeous, both inside and out!

The ancient castle of Drivenik is first mentioned in 1228. It is situated on a high point called ‘Glavica’ in front of the mountain range. Drivenik is quiet and peaceful and close to the larger village of Tribalj dating back to Roman times. Tribalj offers visitors a sense of rustic tranquillity and is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside. There are a great deal of ruins peppering the mountainsides in this area. Tribalj Lake is a great place for a picnic or to fish.

In 15 minutes you can also be in Crikvenica, famous for its lively riviera and amazing restaurants. Crikvenica is one of the oldest summer resorts in Croatia and is known as a health resort with many wellbeing facilities on offer. The main beach is sandy and has many watersports available as well as cosy bars and restaurants. Balustrada Beach is pebbly and stretches from the public beach to the centre of the town. Crikvenica is very charming and rustic with many historic buildings including the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary built in 1412. The Duga Mall shopping centre opened in 2013 and is great for all kinds of shops. There is an atmospheric local market too for local fruit and vegetables.

There are many hiking and walking paths along the Crikvenica Riviera which give you the opportunity to see the beautiful nature of the area. The Love Path is splendid and combines the wonderful view and scents of the Mediterranean plants with the local historical and cultural heritage.

Day trips from this area are often taken to the islands of Krk, Rab or Kosljun or to the spectacular Plitvice Lakes in the National Park. They are absolutely stunning with incredible waterfalls.

Region

Sheltered by majestic mountains, the Kvarner Gulf region of Croatia is a coastal gem calling out to be explored. With its stunning landscapes, charming towns, and a seamless blend of Mediterranean and Central European influences, Kvarner has emerged as a must-visit destination for travellers seeking an authentic Croatian experience.

The region offers a stunning array of landscapes, ranging from rugged mountains to tranquil coastal areas. The Velebit Mountains, which stretch along the eastern part of the region, are not just an incredible backdrop but also an absolute haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking and mountain biking trails criss-cross the mountain range, offering spectacular vistas of the Adriatic Sea and surrounding islands.

The coastline of Kvarner is equally breathtaking, with numerous hidden coves, pebble beaches, and crystal-clear waters. The islands in the Kvarner Gulf, including Krk, Cres, and Lošinj, offer fantastic opportunities for beach-combing, swimming, and water sports. You can also embark on boat trips to explore the secluded beaches and hidden caves that dot the coastline.

Kvarner boasts a rich history that has shaped the region into what it is today, and one of the most notable historical sites in the region is the town of Krk on the island of the same name. Krk's Old Town is a labyrinth of narrow streets and picturesque squares, surrounded by medieval city walls and fortifications. A highlight of Krk is the Frankopan Castle, a well-preserved fortress with a rich history dating back to 1191.

On the mainland, the elegant resort town of Opatija, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," is a prime example of Kvarner's cultural appeal. It was a favoured destination for European aristocracy during the 19th century, with its historic grand hotels and lush parks. A stroll along the beautiful seaside promenade that trails along the coastline will give you great views over to the neighbouring islands. It’s a delightful town to explore and soak in the atmosphere of a bygone era.

The Lopar peninsula on the island of Rab is a perfect spot for a family trip - the beautiful Paradise Beach (Rajska Plaža) features fine, golden sands and very shallow, crystal-clear waters that make it an ideal beach for young children. That and the beach entertainment - think fairground rides, boats, and beach volleyball - will keep little ones entertained all day.

The region is well-connected by road, making it easy to explore the coastal towns and venture into the mountains. Rijeka, the largest city in Kvarner, serves as a transport hub, with good rail and bus connections. Additionally, there are multiple airports in and around the region, including Rijeka Airport, which facilitates international travel.

Kvarner is truly a treasure trove of natural beauty, historical significance, and cultural charm. The Mediterranean climate offers a year round destination, popular with beachgoers in the warm, sunny summer months, and providing pleasant weather for hiking and sightseeing in the spring, autumn and mild winters. This coastal region offers a range of activities and experiences for travellers of all interests - whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, a foodie, or simply seeking a peaceful seaside retreat, Kvarner has something special to offer.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages

Children will love being in this secluded splendour. The garden and pool terrace are gorgeous, as is the rest of the villa. There is some play equipment for children. There are also many hiking and cycle paths close to the villa.

Crikvenica is family-friendly with lovely beaches and playgrounds as well as watersports. Crni Molo is part of the public beach with a very shallow bay suitable for young children. Balustrada Beach has a playground as well as pedal boats to hire. There is a small aquarium in the centre of the town which is worth a visit.

In the opposite direction, in Rijeka, children will enjoy Trsat Castle, The Peek and Poke Computer Museum and The Natural History Museum. Besides the botanical garden, the museum is a multimedia centre with an aquarium with many species of fish, sharks and sea rays and it also conserves insects, reptiles, birds and amphibians.

Children will love a day visiting the Plitvice Lakes. There are boat rides and train rides in the National Park and amazing waterfalls around the sixteen lakes. You might see deer, wolves, boars and rare birds while you are there. The park is open all year round with longer opening during the summer. Children under the age of 7 go in free, and there are discounted tickets for older children. There are very easy boardwalks in the park. It is great fun and so beautiful.

  • Beautiful villa!

    on 05/09/2022

We really enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful villa! Everything super clean, very large and the pool is a dream. The arrival was uncomplicated, the owners very friendly and helpful. You have a lot of privacy as it is rather remote, yet everything is easily accessible by car. The villa is perfectly equipped. Highly recommend!

  • Great!!

    on 28/07/2022

Wonderful, beautifully decorated, not too big or too small, very tasteful. Perfectly equipped house and kitchen outside ideal for relaxation. Located next to an old mill and a dried up riverbed. Surrounded by mountains something wonderful away from the hustle and bustle, but close to the town of Jadranovo. Good contact with the owners. Recommend 100%!
