Stylish and sophisticated, Villa Lale is a fantastically well-appointed contemporary home for a small family or friends with a cinema room, Jacuzzi in the master suite and a stunning pool terrace!
This immense lounge is the most beautiful place to relax, with one large L-shaped sofa and a second plush armchair, all warmly lit by the sun streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling patio doors. You can enjoy wonderful views out across your elegant pool terrace and the mountains in the distance as you kick back and read a book or switch on the TV. An open-plan style here is a fantastic touch which creates a wonderfully airy ambience between this large lounge and adjoining dining area and the kitchen. In this superb modern kitchen, there’s everything you could possibly need to rustle up a treat for the whole group, to be devoured at this gorgeous accompanying dining area, also set beside huge French doors, or else casually at this stylish breakfast bar. There is an additional guest WC on this floor. Head up to your first floor to enjoy this magnificent Cinema Room! A large LCD TV, complete with a fantastic sound system, air conditioning and a super cosy sofa create the most luxurious environment in which to watch a film, catch up on some TV or else enjoy some gaming on the PlayStation!
Your first exquisite bedroom is located on this ground floor and has a set of two delightful single beds, an LCD TV and a fabulous desk and reading chair. You’ve even got direct access to this glorious pool terrace, putting leaping into the pool just seconds away – a dream for guests of all ages! Meanwhile the master suite is up on the first floor and offers up to four guests a most beautiful room, with a circular double bed at its heart. In the corner is a spectacular Jacuzzi, with twinkling overhead lighting like the night sky and fantastic 180-degree views of your surroundings. The room is wonderfully spacious, also with a TV, a treadmill and even a set of bunk beds if required for a couple of young children! In addition to the Jacuzzi, it also has an ensuite bathroom, as does the twin room. Each bathroom is sparkling and sublime, with luxurious detailing and fantastic facilities, including a vast walk-in rain-shower in each!
For a little sunshine head onto this glamorous terrace, with a glass fencing also ensuring views across this delightful forested hillside ahead. Your sublime 13 by 4-metre pool shimmers in the sunshine inviting you to laze and soak your way into blissful tranquillity before leaping into one of these sun loungers, either in the pool or beside it, for a restful snooze and a little sunbathing. Also on this fantastic terrace are a set of casual seats for socialising in the fresh air, and even an enchanting alfresco dining area under the pergola. And for tons of fun there’s even a table tennis table which the kids and adults alike can enjoy!

About the surrounding area of Villa LaleTucked on Turkey’s gorgeous Lycian Coast, just 3.5km from the village of Islamlar, in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, Villa Lale is in an idyllic location, with both the centre of Kalkan town and the nearest beach just 13km away! You’re also within 3km of restaurants and shops, making it incredibly practical, too!
Nearby Kalkan is an enchanting former fishing village that has undergone a spectacular transformation over recent years to become an increasingly popular beach resort, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Taurus Mountains! In the centre of the town is a small pebble beach, perfect for snorkelling and from here you can take a boat trip out to the impressive Blue Cave, or just a little further south on the coast to the hidden Kaputas Beach. Indeed, Kalkan is renowned for its scuba diving and water sports.
And while we’re on beaches – just a 25-minute drive away is the picture-perfect beach of Kaputaş, a striking gorge where luminous turquoise seas meet the dazzling white beach, a perfect bay of beauty set against the striking backdrop of the impressive cliffs dramatically dropping off into the sea! And only about half an hour north is the world-famous twelve kilometre stretch of golden sands of Patara Beach, backed by ancient Lycian ruins and with the most magnificent sunsets!
The town boasts stunning architecture, with whitewashed houses reminiscent of the nearby Greek islands, with the contrasting and dazzling ubiquitous bougainvillaea creating endless photogenic streets. Over 200 restaurants, serving everything from wholesome Turkish meals to sophisticated local delicacies can be found, whether you fancy one of the waterfront cafes or one of the rooftop restaurants amid the tree-lined hills with unrivalled views of the bay! Indeed, from the laid-back atmosphere during the day, during which you can visit these bustling markets selling spices and rugs, jewellery and foods including traditional fresh golmeze, these pretty cobbled streets begin to burst with life as the sun sets.
In this location you’re just less than three hours from Antalya, a city rich in history and art, centred around the winding streets of Kaleiçi, the old quarter, making it a perfectly accessible day trip! Meanwhile, you’re also just over an hour from Fethiye, well worth a visit on market day. And if you’re looking to explore the surroundings, you can’t get much better than a brief saunter along the historic Lycian Way hiking path, a marked walking route covering over 500km offering breath-taking views across this impressive coastline and the endless azure sea. There are also innumerable fascinating sites of ruins, including Canthos, Patara, Tlos, Myra and Letoon, while there are also world class walking, biking and hiking routes that wind through the olive groves and forests of this luscious landscape.

Islamlar
Islamlar sits 8 km above Kalkan. Once the place Kalkan folk went to cool off at one of the trout farms built to make use of the mountain’s springs. Today Islamlar houses many a villa, enjoyed by Istanbul Turks who prefer a holiday in slightly cooler and cleaner air. Here the locals grow grapes and pomegranates, but you’ll mainly see the men sat gossiping next to the local teahouse. The trout farms remain a place to come for a wonderful fresh meal, or a breakfast consisting of fresh local fare. The rocket will be the freshest & most tasty you’ve ever had; and the fresh chips cooked in olive oil take some beating.

Best Suited For: All AgesThis is a most wonderful villa for a family as you can not only enjoy spending quality time in this epic garden, with both table tennis and even a shallow end of the pool for the youngsters, but there’s even a cinema room in addition to this immense living space! The master suite is also perfect for those travelling with youngsters as it can accommodate two kids in the bunk beds.
Just a short drive away is the enchanting old fishing village of Kalkan. The town is incredibly family-friendly, with romantic, narrow streets which wind down towards the sublime harbour! Whitewashed and striking Ottoman buildings, complete with timber balconies and the signature bougainvillaea that adorns half the Lycian Coast, this glamorous spot is the perfect place to stroll in the evenings before taking dinner at one of the 200 restaurants in the small town.
Both Kalkan’s pebble beach and Kaputas’ stunning stretch of golden sands are within a short drive and both are perfect for enjoying a little water sports – be that snorkelling, swimming, or even scuba diving! Alternatively, you can experience the fantastic scenery on a hike or cycle across this exquisite landscape. The Lycian Way hiking path offers 500km of routes in this breath-taking landscape – be sure to take a picnic, there are endless perfect spots to sit, relax, and take in the breath-taking views across the azure sea!

Travelling to Turkey
All British (and most other nationalities) citizens require a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months validity to enter Turkey. UK passport holders are exempt from visa for tourist visits of up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date. For all other passports please visit the Turkish Government Website or the Turkish Consulate for details of whether you require a visa or not.
Whilst in Turkey local regulations require you keep your passport and a printed copy of your e-visa with you at all times.
