- You’re in a quiet and peaceful spot in Islamlar village with shops and restaurants just 500-metres away, and livelier Kalkan Town with more local restaurants, shops and sandy swimming beaches is only a fifteen-minute drive away.
- The village charms include the cockerals calling and the sound of the mosque calling five times a day.
- The villa is in a small cluster with Villas Subat, Nisan & Mayis, so they can be booked together. They have been sympathically built so none are visible from each other once inside or by the pool.

About the surrounding area of Villa MartThe friendly Turkish village of Islamlar lies in the foothills of the towering Taurus Mountains on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. The stunning area offers a compelling combination of a peaceful, utterly unspoilt terrain with the convenience of being close to the lively town of Kalkan. The villa is in a countryside spot, yet is close to local restaurants and shops for picking up essentials. The closest you can walk to.
In the centre of Islamlar (or its surroundings), you can get an authentic insight into traditional rural Turkish life. Explore the olive groves and vineyards or head to one of the famous trout farm restaurants with locally-sourced ingredients and beautiful views down the valley. The villa is also close to parts of the Lycian Way Trail – an excellent walking route that traverses the coastline.
A fifteen-minute drive from Islamlar will take you to Kalkan, an old fishing town and harbour between Kas and Fethiye. It’s famous for its white-washed houses, descending to the sea, and its brightly coloured bougainvillaea flowers. Dine on a roof terrace restaurant or bar with wonderful views of the town or while away the afternoon at one of the many harbour-side restaurants.
There are plenty of beaches in the area, including Kaputas Beach and Patara Beach. Both have cafes, sun loungers and sunshades.
Kalkan harbour on a wooden gulet (classic Turkish sailing boat) to experience the full beauty of the coast. For an exciting cultural day trip instead, you could visit the sunken remains at Kekova. Boats go there from Kas, a 30-minute drive from Kalkan.

Islamlar
Islamlar sits 8 km above Kalkan. Once the place Kalkan folk went to cool off at one of the trout farms built to make use of the mountain’s springs. Today Islamlar houses many a villa, enjoyed by Istanbul Turks who prefer a holiday in slightly cooler and cleaner air. Here the locals grow grapes and pomegranates, but you’ll mainly see the men sat gossiping next to the local teahouse. The trout farms remain a place to come for a wonderful fresh meal, or a breakfast consisting of fresh local fare. The rocket will be the freshest & most tasty you’ve ever had; and the fresh chips cooked in olive oil take some beating.

Kalkan specialises in historic sites with a range of intriguing ruins nearby that promise a great day out for the kids. You can also jump on a boat to explore the coastline and stop for swimming. In the cooler months, families can go mountain-biking or horse riding in the Taurus Mountains.

Travelling to Turkey
All British (and most other nationalities) citizens require a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months validity to enter Turkey. UK passport holders are exempt from visa for tourist visits of up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date. For all other passports please visit the Turkish Government Website or the Turkish Consulate for details of whether you require a visa or not.
Whilst in Turkey local regulations require you keep your passport and a printed copy of your e-visa with you at all times.

Strongly recommend!
Magnificent sea and nature view, top location in Kalkan area. You will feel the nature completely. Rooms are large enough and comfortable, all furniture and appliances are top quality. Staff and owner are very helpful and friendly. Strongly recommend!

Perfect villa
Perfect villa, I had a great vacation and I can't wait for such a vacation in summer.
It had everything I wanted from the sauna to the hammam, to the gym to stay fit. Everything was hygienic and clean! I can only recommend this villa for a vacation with my family or friends. You can sunbathe in the pool, play table tennis during the day, or have a barbecue in the evening and enjoy the view. Everything is well furnished and comfortable, especially the bedrooms are very comfortable. The feel-good factor is definitely there, and so is the privacy. Thanks again for the holiday! -

The location of the villa, its cleanliness and the smiling faces of the employees, being intertwined with nature, the sounds of birds, the smell of pine, in short, the peaceful and calm environment impressed me a lot.

The villa was AMAZING. The pool have a breathtaking view. I used the jaccuzi in our room and it was very relaxing. We are always on contact with the nature. I want to go back there. The neighbours are very quiet and that’s awesome. The bed are comfortable.

The complex is beautiful, the calm reigns there, Really a place where one can rest and enjoy the calm. The pool, sauna and gym were wonderful. I intend to return as soon as possible. I recommend it 100%. We had an unforgettable family holiday.
