An expansive and stylish property located in Son Bou, Villa Poma provides a plethora of space and amenities, meaning that guests can enjoy their dream holiday in whichever way they please. The exterior of this property is surrounded by a large span of emerald-green grass. In turn, this is a perfect spot for absorbing the warming rays of the sun or for the children to run around endlessly. The main focal point of the exterior is the considerable swimming pool that sits in the centre of the grounds. This exquisite pool is filled with refreshingly cool water, which guests can enjoy to their heart’s content at any point throughout their stay. A majority of the outdoor terraces sit at an evaluated position, offering a wealth of panoramic views. As such, guests can use these spaces to indulge in a refreshing glass of wine as they watch the world go by.
 
Inside, this property is teeming with modern and simplistic decor, making it an extremely contemporary holiday home. The living area sports an incredibly plump and spacious sofa, allowing guests to kick back ad relax after a busy day of exploring this idyllic region. Opposite the living area is the dining area, a space that is designed with minimalism in mind. This space includes a large light wood table and an accompanying set of white plastic chairs. Thus, this is an ideal spot for guests to delve into a series of delicious meals and truly enjoy some quality time together. The kitchen within this property adheres to a very similar theme, showcasing a wide array of bright white cupboards. Therefore, guests are encouraged to prepare meals that the whole family is sure to love in this incredibly cohesive and balanced environment.
 
The first bedroom is home to a luxurious double bed, ensuring that guests can maintain a restful night’s sleep throughout their time on this marvellous property. The second and third bedrooms both include a pair of single beds. This means that they are suitable for small children as well as couples who prefer to sleep apart. The fourth bedroom also hosts an extensive double bed. The fifth and final bedroom, contains a pair of single beds.

  • You enter on the second floor from the street, all bedrooms are on the lower levels. People with limited mobility may struggle with the amount of steps
  • Children should be supervised when using the outdoor fire pit
  • Parties are forbidden to occur on this property
  • There are no handrails leading into the pool, so children must be supervised
  • The bedrooms on the lower floor do have windows to the backyard but must climb a flight of stairs to reach the pool, and garden

Son Bou is an incredibly vibrant and exciting region, making it ideal for those who are looking to immerse themselves in the bustling culture found throughout this area. This region is also well recognised for its varied range of majestic wildlife. If you wish to explore this further, a trip to Son Bou Nature Reserve is a perfect solution. This expansive landscape is filled with wetlands and reed beds, making it the ideal habitat for many rare species of birds. Guests have the chance to observe a wealth of amazing creatures, such as the Booted Eagle, Blue Rock Thrush, and the Egyptian Vulture. As a result, this is a great attraction to visit if you are looking to uncover more information about the rich biodiversity that can be found within this region. It should be mentioned that mosquitos are active within this area, so guests are advised to wear some form of repellent. Son Bou Nature Reserve can be found less than 5 minutes away from the centre of the region.
 
Son Bou beach is another iconic tourist attraction that is situated just a few minutes away. As the longest beach in the entirety of Menorca, stretching an incredibly 2.5km long and 50m wide. Here, you will be blown away by the plethora of soft golden sand and sapphire-blue water, making it a deeply picturesque location. This beach is also home to a collection of titanic sand dunes, which are always kept in excellent condition. Guests can also observe a variety of looming cliffs that reach up to 80m high. This is a fantastic attraction to visit if you are looking to detach from the usual stressors of everyday life.
 
If you are searching for a night out with a twist, a visit to Bou Hai is a real treat. This quirky and eccentric bar presents an array of rollerblading staff who help to serve your drinks in style and at speed. With an immersive Hawaii theme, guests will feel as if they have been transported to an authentic Tiki bar. There is also a wealth of popular drinks on offer, such as a traditional pina colada, as well as a collection of fresh fruit daiquiris. Bou Hai is based just a stone’s throw away from the centre of the region.

THE REGION

The resort of Son Bou in the municipality of Alaior, on the south coast of Menorca, is renowned for having the biggest and probably best beach on the island. The resort is located around 20 kilometres from the international airport at Mahon.

Son Bou is a well-developed area containing many restaurants offering a good range of British, Indian, Chinese and Mediterranean dishes, as well as numerous bars, some of which are themed to help entertain young ones.

While the resort is very popular for families, the sheer size of the beach makes it easy for those who prefer to avoid the little ones to find their ideal spots! There is an abundance of natural sand dunes that make a very pleasant backdrop.

Son Bou is also suitable for children as it is packed with a wide range of family-friendly attractions. Lloc de Menorca is the first and only zoological park in the whole region, making it a highly sought-after tourist destination. This establishment hosts a wide variety of native and exotic species, highlighting the rich and diverse nature of the entire area. Children can gain a more intimate and personal perspective of an assortment of creatures such as lemurs, goats, and macaque monkeys. In addition, guests can also travel through the Tropical Garden exhibition and observe a collection of vibrant and colourful horticulture. This park also offers a unique activity timetable catered specifically for disabled guests, making it a very accessible attraction. Lloc de Menorca is based just under 15 minutes away from the centre of the region.
 
If you are travelling with older children who love nothing more than to embark on an in-depth shopping spree, a trip to Centro Comercial is a real treat. This bustling shopping centre offers a blend of high-class designer establishments with a variety of artisan craft stores. As a result, there is something to suit everybody’s taste. Guests can browse through the quirky shops and pick up a few souvenirs, such as handmade ceramic pots, to remind them of their wonderful trip. There is also an abundance of small dining establishments on-site, allowing guests to try a few local delicacies before returning back to their shopping. Centro Comercial is situated just over 20 minutes away from the centre of Son Bou.
 
Club San Jaime can be found in a small hotel complex just under 5 minutes away from the centre of Son Bou. This joyful play park is filled with thrilling water slides and attractions. In turn, it is the perfect place to bring the little ones and allow them to play freely. If water slides are not your thing, you can relax on the expansive lawn area, making use of one of the many premium sun loungers. Once you have worked up an appetite, you can enjoy a divine meal in the on-site restaurant, which also offers incredible poolside views.

Security deposit €900 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before/upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

Pool towels included? No.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
