Sumptuous sofas sit together under the wonderul sloping beamed ceiling enjoying the television and the views. The room also boasts an attractive open feature fireplace for cooler months. At the other end of the room guests dine with a sea view while the gentle sea breeze keeps them cool. The kitchen is very smart with wooden cabinetry and excellent appliances.

The villa is all built on one storey. Each of the four bedrooms are beautifully finished. The master bedroom enjoys a comfy double bed and a smart, beautifully tiled ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom also offers a double bed and the remaining two enjoy comfy twins. There are two other immaculate bathrooms to share. If the rooms do not have direct access to the garden and terrace, they enjoy large picture windows.

The terrace is beautifully furnished for alfresco dining and lounging and the pool is a very generous size of 10m x 5m. It is surrounded by loungers and parasols and separated from your parking area by architectural planting. The garden is surrounded by hedge or fence to ensure privacy. The villa boasts a built-in barbecue for your barbecue masters. When you decide to leave this delightful haven, the beach is incredibly close and the nearest restaurant is only 150 metres away. The 18th century Xoriguer Gin Distillery is worth a visit and there are many independant shops selling leather, pottery and clothes. The early morning fish market is fascinating to walk through with its huge array of colourful fish. Mahon is well known for its upmarket nightlife and waterfront bars and clubs.

At the other end of the island, Ciutadella is Menorca’s second city boasting a picturesque port and an engaging old quarter lined with grand, gold-tinged buildings. The medieval streets are brimming with palaces, churches and fortresses as well as wonderful restaurants and bars. Placa d’es Born is one of the most picturesque squares in Ciutadella. Waterside dining can be found at the port. If you get there early enough you can watch the fishermen bringing in the local catch of the day. You can also catch a ferry from here to Alcudia in Mallorca. Ciutadella celebrates its local festival on 23 and 24 June each year. THE REGION

The mellow island of Menorca drums to a slower beat than siblings Mallorca and Ibiza, and therefore perfect if you’re looking for a holiday of rest and relaxation. The easternmost Balearic Island is lined by some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean: long swathes of powder-fine sand give way to rocky calas (bays) lapped by pale blue waters.

While you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Menorca you may well want to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
