Villa Llaut is a charming family-friendly villa located in the wonderful resort of Binibeca. It offers rustic appeal, a fabulous garden, wonderful sea views and lots of entertainment for the whole family.
Binibeca is a peaceful holiday destination sprinkled with whitewashed architecture, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. This picturesque cove offers a scattering of kayaks waiting by the shore as gentle waves roll in. Its three-kilometre stretch of glistening silver sand starts at Binibeca Vell in the west, through Binibeca Nou and into Cala Torret in the east. Binibeca is laid-back and perfect for families. The resort boasts a dive centre, watersport equipment rental and cycle rental. It truly is the perfect spot for those that want to unwind, relax and soothe their souls.
The villa enjoys a fabulous location within easy reach of the beach and everything this attractive resort offers. The villa is typical of the area with rustic charm, an easy layout and cheerful decor. It offers three bedrooms, two of which enjoy comfy double beds and the other with twin beds. The master offers an ensuite bathroom with a bath, and there is a modern family shower room. The living space is open plan in design, with doors opening to an enormous covered terrace and the garden.
The garden and terrace are wonderful. There is a large lawn, a popular children’s playground with a slide and swings, a pool, alfresco dining and lounging, a built-in barbecue and another covered terrace with a table tennis table. Here you can enjoy some family fun and competition. The garden is totally private and fully enclosed. The pool is fully fenced for safety. In addition to this outside space, there is a roof terrace with loungers where you can relax with your holiday books while enjoying wonderful panoramic sea views.
The living space is bright and airy, with a tiled floor to keep you cool. It offers a sofa and accent chairs, a dining table and chairs and an open-plan country kitchen where you can cook delicious meals. The villa is mostly on one level, with just a few steps here and there. The bedrooms, like the living space, are decorated in natural tones with a colour splash.
Though the interior of the villa is delightful, you are likely to spend most of your time outside. The covered terrace is perfect for warm evenings when your barbecue masters can prepare a feast. You can dine alfresco as the sun goes down and enjoy pretty garden views. Everyone is happy in this villa. Adults can relax while children can play happily in the garden.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa LlautVilla Llaut enjoys a wonderful position in Binebeca, a short distance away from the beach. You can leave the villa and be enjoying a glass of chilled wine, a beer or a cocktail in just a few minutes. The beautiful beach offers fine white sand, shallow turquoise water and rocks, making it great for snorkelling. There are kayaks, paddle boards and electric fun boats to hire during the summer months as well as sun beds, parasols and a popular ice cream stand. There are also tennis courts.
Binibeca is separated into Binibeca Nou and Binibeca Vell, an idyllic, old traditional Menorcan fishing village situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The picturesque village enjoys a sprinkling of whitewashed villas adorned with colourful flowers. Local suppliers offer their freshly picked produce at markets held near the fisherman's village. The atmospheric labyrinth of cobbled streets is lined with unique boutiques selling leather goods and jewellery. The Splash Sur Menorca water park is only 2km away, a brilliant, thrilling adventure for the whole family.
Sant Luis is very close by. It boasts excellent Binifadet wineries where you can taste delicious wines as well as their famous wine jelly babies. San Luis is a fascinating town which was founded by the French in 1761 and built around its large whitewashed church. The Es Moli de Dalt windmill is fully restored and open to the public.
The picturesque capital of Mahon is just 10 kilometres from the villa and is definitely worth a trip. Mahon is a lively city rich in history, culture and entertainment. Its pretty 18th-century Gothic Carme church, close to the Placa Espanya, is wonderful. The 18th-century Xoriguer Gin Distillery is popular, and there are many independent shops selling leather, pottery and clothes, all great souvenirs to take home. The early morning fish market is lively and vibrant. Mahon enjoys a fantastic reputation for its upmarket nightlife and waterfront bars and clubs.
Son Ganxo is located between Binibeca and Punta Prima on the southernmost point of Menorca. It was originally a small fishing village but has now grown into a charming hamlet with fabulous coastal views over to the lighthouse on the island of Isla Del Aire. You can dive and swim from the rocks and swimming platform in its sunny cove. Punta Prima is just minutes away with its fine sands and resort centre.
At the other end of the island, Ciutadella is Menorca’s second city. It offers a picturesque port and a captivating old quarter lined with grand, gold-tinged buildings. Its medieval streets are sprinkled with palaces, churches and fortresses as well as amazing restaurants and bars. Placa d’es Born is one of the most picturesque squares in Ciutadella. The port offers trendy waterside dining. If you get to the port early enough, you can watch the fishermen bringing in the local catch of the day. You can catch a ferry from here to Alcudia in Mallorca for a fun day trip. Ciutadella celebrates its local festival on 23 and 24 June each year. It is one of the most spectacular festivals in Menorca, so if you happen to be on holiday, then you should head over.

THE REGION
The quiet and idyllic resort of Binibeca is a very popular smaller resort on the beautiful south coast of Menorca and is a perfect choice for holidaymakers wanting to escape the noise and crowds of other more developed areas. You will not find any skyline-destroying hotels or large holiday complexes here, most accommodations being in private villas and apartments.
Today, Binibeca stretches 3 km along the coast and includes the original ‘Binibèquer Vell’, or an old portion, as well as the new portion of ‘Binibèquer Nou’- a natural progression with many of the homes and villas in keeping with the original design. At the very eastern point of Binibeca, you will also find Cala Torret, a small village which feels separate but is actually part of it.

Best Suited For: All AgesFamilies love their holidays at Villa Llaut. The villa is totally secluded, very safe for children and comes with an excellent garden, playground, pool and a table tennis table. Children love a barbecue, and this villa enjoys a wonderful alfresco dining and lounge space. It is also within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops and the beach.
Binibeca enjoys a sensational sandy beach. You will find a good range of watersports and some courses on offer. Binibeca Diving offers a diving course and snorkelling as well as hiring kayaks, paddle boards and other equipment. There are many caves to explore and incredibly colourful fish to spot. Children enjoy catching the little summer train that runs from Binibeca Vell through Binibeca Nou, Binebeca Torret and Punta Prima, another popular resort. Punta Prima enjoys a fabulous beach and the Barcelo Pueblo Water Park, which offers thrilling entertainment for children. They love the meandering lazy river and a selection of fun slides and tunnels. Younger children love the water playground.
Splash Sur Menorca is an excellent waterpark just 2 km from the villa. There are exciting aquatic attractions for the whole family, including thrilling slides, pools, a lazy river, a water playground and much more. It is an incredibly popular attraction within very easy reach.
Visitors can take glass-bottomed boat trips from various resorts to explore underwater life and rocks. Watersports centres can also be found at Fornells, S’Algar and Son Xoriguer. Horse lovers can enjoy horse riding on the beach at Cala Galdana and several other beaches and through forests.
Aquarock at Cala en Bosch is a collection of water fun, electronic amusements, trampolines and Go Karting. The water park at Arenal Den Castell at the Marina Park hotel is also open to visitors. It has a lazy river, wave pool, splash pools, as well as slides and tubes. Club Sant Jaime is a waterpark open to all with water chutes, various pools, including a baby pool and bars and cafes. Aquapark Los Delfines is another water park with wonderful attractions.
Menorca’s zoo is home to a range of native species from the island and exotic animals from all over the world. It is a great excursion featuring several walks through landscaped enclosures where animals roam free.

Family friendly villa in convenient location
We had an excellent two-weeks stay at Villa Llaut with two toddlers and two grandparents. We chose it for the child-safe pool and ability to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. It did not disappoint. We chose not to rent a car and were pleasantly suprised by the train that took us to Punta Prima. We also took the bus to Mahon one day. We swam twice a day and enjoyed sunsets on the roof deck. The hosts were also quick to respond with two small issues we had. Lovely stay and would return again!
