Can Poquet is a charming rural three-bedroom villa with a private pool sleeping up to 6 guests in the countryside close Pollensa. This beautiful region offers an amazing authentic Mallorca experience and a chance to get close to nature with picturesque villages, fabulous beaches and spectacular scenery.

Surrounded by greenery and enjoying the fabulous panoramic view, this pretty stone-clad Villa has a tranquil, relaxed ambience. Incorporating traditional features with contemporary twists. Can Poquet has whitewashed walls, open beams, warm woods, cool tiles and traditional features throughout, which seamlessly merge with ultra-modern bathrooms and a sleek contemporary styled outside space.

The open style living/dining area is decorated in a homely country style with squashy sofas and warm wood accessories, it's perfect for relaxing with a good book or to watch TV. There is a large wooden dining table to enjoy boisterous meals or gourmet delights, and through glass doors, there is a lovely covered terrace which is fully furnished to enjoy al fresco dining or pre-dinner drinks on balmy evenings. The rustic theme continues in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, which offers all the mod cons, including an oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine.

The Villa has three delightful bedrooms, one an airy double bedroom with plenty of storage space and two flexible bedrooms, each containing two single beds, great for families and groups of friends. Please note that air conditioning is in the passageway between the bedrooms. The property also enjoys the benefit of two ultra-modern bathrooms with showers.

The outside space is stylish and lovely, with a gorgeous pool as its centrepiece. Decorated in cool whites with teakwood decking, it's the perfect setting to take in the panoramic mountainous views and stunning surrounding countryside. Oversized loungers and shady parasols surround the inviting rectangle pool (5 x 7.5 m), and the pool benefits from a separate shallow section for children who are going to love the space and freedom this rural retreat offers. There are further stylish shaded seating areas to enjoy long cool drinks or lazy dinners, and there is a separate barbeque area bound to be a hit with all the family!

This is a family-friendly property, and there is a cot provided. There are also laundry facilities, including an iron and a washing machine, the property benefits from Wi-Fi, and there is open-air parking for up to 2 cars.

Can Poquet is in a rural location located in the beautiful countryside of Pollensa; the property is 10 minutes drive from the beach area of Port de Pollenca and 10 minutes drive to Pollenca's old town.

Pollensa is an enchanting ancient rural town rich in history. Full of cobbled streets and traditional buildings of warm blonde stone Pollensa retains an authentic charm. Sights to see include a wonderful ancient Roman bridge, 'Pont Roma' and the18th century Mare de Deu dels Angels church with a famous rose window. The Convent of Sant Domingo, with its Baroque cloister, is very beautiful and there are wonderful ancient monasteries to see in the surrounding countryside, including Santuari de Lluc, which is totally stunning and well worth a visit. The old town is buzzing each Sunday morning when the town centre fills with over 300 stalls selling local produce, clothes and arts & crafts. This is the perfect spot to pick up a bargain or sample some local specialities.

Port de Pollensa Beach is a long and wide golden sand beach with plenty of amenities and is very popular with families and has a promenade full of shops, bars and restaurants; however, if you are looking for a more tranquil natural experience, just head north of the port and walk along the tree-lined Pine Walk promenade, it's a lovely place for an evening stroll or to enjoy a sundowner and take in the beautiful views across the bay.

Cala Formentor is around 7km to the northwest of Port de Pollensa and is arguably one of the most beautiful spots on the Island; the turquoise sea and fine white sands, with a delightful backdrop of pine forest and mountain views, stretch for a kilometre, and there is plenty of shade from the huge pine trees. A great way to get to Formentor Beach is to take a Boat Trip from Port Pollensa; you can purchase tickets at the marina and take in wonderful views of the bay and get a closer glimpse of the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor.

Pollenca is a fabulous base for hiking and cycling due to its proximity to the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains and the stunning coast. There are cycle and hiking routes for every level, and there are plenty of places to rent bikes. Golf enthusiasts are well catered for in this region; the nearest (and newest!) 18-hole course is Golf Alcanada which is to the north of the Alcudia harbour area.

Can Poquet is a lovely rural retreat perfect for exploring the north of Mallorca; historical and magical, diverse and unexpected, you can experience a marvellous authentic taste of Island living in one of the most picturesque spots on the Island.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Can Poquet is a great property for families, the beautiful pool and spacious, secure grounds are the perfect balm after long sunny adventures near and far exploring this magical natural region.

The north coast has a huge selection of well-kept sandy beaches, and there are multiple beaches suitable for kids and family days out. Puerto Pollensa beaches are wide and clean with plenty of facilities and water sports available, a trip around the bay in a glass-bottom boat is always a winner with the kids! To the west of Pollensa is Cala Barques, which is an ideal beach for families. The sheltered beach is around 60 metres long, the waters are clean and calm, and the sand is fine, well-kept and has a gentle slope. There is a lifeguard and plenty of umbrellas and loungers.   

The warm, clear shallow waters of Alcudia Bay with fine, clean sand and a huge selection of water sports available make this a very popular spot with families and a perfect location for those with small children. There are lots of beach bars and cafes, and there are great facilities, including playgrounds and water sports for the kids. As the beach area is so large, an uncrowded space is only ever a walk away, and a beach trip with the kids should be stress-free. Port de Alcudia is home to Hidropark, the only water park in the North of Mallorca and has a wide variety of water rides and attractions for everybody to enjoy.

There are loads to see and do in the capital Palma, and it only takes less than an hour by car. The Palma Aquarium is a real gem housing an abundance of sea life and the deepest shark tank in Europe– don’t miss the turtles in the Mediterranean gardens; the kids will love them! The Aquarium also has play areas, a Pirates ship and fountains for the kids to enjoy.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €200 charged to the client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full inspection.
Arrival time Between 4 - 10 pm, late check-in will have a penalty of €80 to be paid on arrival.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price. Linen change every 7 days and towels change every 4 days.
Pool towels included? Not included in the rental price, extra €10 per person to be paid with the balance.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
