THE REGION
Cala Bassa Beach truly offers something for everyone. It is reachable by car, boat and bus, with a range of useful facilities and wooden walkways providing access for the disabled and prams, making it easily accessible to all ages.
The area near the coast has four different restaurants, all under the management of the Cala Bassa Beach Club. They are mostly quite exclusive options, but there is also a snack bar at the far end of the bay.
Cala Bassa boasts some of the clearest, cleanest water you’ll ever see on the beaches in Ibiza and the softest golden sand – it’s enough to make you think you’ve escaped the Med (not that you’d want to!) and made it to Thailand.

A family boat tour is a great experience if you are looking to observe a range of tourist hotspots at a more relaxed pace. Meet The Sea is an acclaimed cruising company that offers a wide selection of child-friendly excursions. This particular tour departs from Portmany Bay Promenade, which can be found around 20-minutes away from the centre of Cala Bassa. From here, you will travel to Cala Comte, where you will receive an engaging lecture about the marine wildlife that lives in these waters. Children will also be able to embark on a unique snorkelling excursion, giving them the chance to observe these creatures up close.
If you are travelling with older children, a guided walking tour and art workshop is a must-do experiences. This tour allows guests to visit the UNESCO-listed site of Dalt Vila, an iconic fortified town that holds a large amount of significance within Ibiza’s history. Guests will begin their journey in the Port of Ibiza, which is based just over 30-minutes away. Throughout their journey, guests will experience a selection of iconic tourist hotspots, learning more about this alluring town. Then, you will be asked to partake in an immersive art workshop, using the delightful sights of the town to inspire your creative works. Guests will also receive a free tote bag as a memento for their fantastic experience.
