Tucked on the hillside, this large modern villa enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding valley and countryside, offering the perfect setting to relax beside the pool and enjoy long sunny days with family and friends. Situated on the edge of a quiet residential neighbourhood, Villa Jove is a newly-built home with bright and spacious rooms that spill onto a glorious terrace.

Upon entering, a large open-plan room creates the central living space, enjoying plenty of natural light through the sliding doors leading out to the terrace and pool. To one side, a large sofa offers an informal seating area, whilst to the other, the contemporary kitchen is fully equipped and features a lovely island counter connected to a wooden dining table. To the front of the room, an outdoor dining area with a spacious table sits below a partially enclosed pergola, inviting you to share meals outside whilst looking out over the glorious countryside. There is also a barbecue to the side of the villa, perfect for entertaining guests and enjoying freshly grilled fish bought from the local market.

Dotted with leafy palms and potted plants, the terrace wraps around the side of the house, with a large swimming pool to cool off and a handful of sun loungers to enjoy the warm summer days. A sunken seating area is built into the front of the terrace, with significant steps forming an intimate space where you can make the most of the balmy nights and share a bottle of wine beneath the stars.

There are four bedrooms, all tastefully finished. On the ground floor, two doubles are found at the back of the house, each with sliding doors open to the pool and outdoor terrace. Whilst on the lower ground floor, an additional bedroom can also be used as a  second living area, with a large sofa and TV, creating a cosy, snug-like space to relax in the evening and watch a movie. There is a bathroom and shower on both floors.

Leading up from the front entrance, a contemporary staircase gives access to the upper level, where you can find the stunning master suite. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the master bedroom is full of light and enjoys a beautiful perspective over the surrounding landscape, inviting you to lie in bed and gaze over the majestic Montgo mountain as the sun rises. To the back of the room, an elegant ensuite bathroom features a large walk-in shower, whilst to the front, a glass door opens out to a private upper balcony. Wrapped in a low glass railing, the balcony offers panoramic views over the nearby region.

Perched above the valley, Villa Jove enjoys a beautiful, elevated position between the mountains and the sea. Located in the lovely Costa Blanca region, there are plenty of picturesque beaches to explore to both the north and the south, whilst the charming hillside villages and natural parks are also nearby.

A 10-minute drive brings you to the seafront and the lovely town of Moraira. Once a small fishing village, the town now features an assortment of bars, restaurants, and a handful of glorious sandy beaches. The central Playa de l’Ampolla is popular with families, whilst slightly to the north, the bay of El Portet offers a stunning spot for a swim. Hire kayaks from the beach to explore the rocky outcrops, or head out along the cliff path of the historic Watchtower. Sitting atop the Mount of Cap D’Or, the 16th-century structure occupies a strategic position that affords spectacular views back to the bay and along the coast. Back in the town centre, you can wander through the network of cobbled streets and admire the traditional whitewashed houses that lined the old quarter or stopped off in the central square to see the beautiful Iglesia Fortaleza de Santa Catalina. For a bite to eat, head towards the castle to enjoy some traditional tapas at Terra Vian, or walk along the seafront to the marina, where you can enjoy some delicious, freshly grilled fish at locally-owned Pescador.

Whilst there are plenty of hidden coves to be discovered, the lovely Cala Granadella is another hidden spot. Just 20 minutes drive to the north, you will follow a winding road through a thick pine forest before arriving at the bay’s beautiful turquoise waters. Surrounded by rugged cliffs, blue flag beach is the perfect spot to spend the afternoon, and you can swim out to the floating platform or grab a snorkel and explore the rocky sea bed. Once a prominent fortress, the Castell de Granadell sits atop the southern point, and a trail offers splendid views across the coast. There are a couple of restaurants to the rear of the beach where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or sample a plate of arroz a banda, a traditional rice dish cooked in fish stock.

The nearby town of Javea also offers a number of beaches, with long stretches of golden sand and a variety of water sports to enjoy. A 10-minute drive from the villa, the old town dates back to Medieval times, with streets lined with traditional whitewashed houses dotted with colourful pots and flowers. A daily food market is held in the former monastery, an impressive building in the Plaza Celestino Pons, and you can wander the stalls and try some local meat and cheese or head down to the waterfront to enjoy a leisurely lunch whilst watching the boats return to port with their daily catch.

For more adventurous trails, venture inland to the Parque Natural del Montgó, with its diverse wildlife and beautiful mountains said to be shaped like a ‘sleeping elephant’ (montgo). The park has plenty of well-signposted paths, inviting you to explore the landscape or take a more challenging hike up to the summit.

Security deposit €2000 charged to client’s credit card by the owner, or paid in cash, upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

  • Beautiful holiday villa

    We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful villa. The decoration is particularly beautiful. The bedrooms are spread over three floors, which gives a lot of privacy. The pool is lovely and large and has a great location allowing you to enjoy the evening sun. There is only one real drawback to the house; there is nowhere to sit out of the sun between 3 and 7 in the afternoon and there are no umbrellas.
