Inside, this property is teeming with unusual decor and alluring pieces, building a bohemian environment for guests to indulge in. The main living area is complete with a considerable fireplace in the centre of the room, further creating a homely and comforting environment. There is also a pair of large blue sofas to help embody a more soothing area for guests to enjoy whilst on holiday. Opposite the living area is the dining area. This space also follows a traditional theme by using a circular wooden table with a set of matching chairs. As such, guests can prepare and serve a selection of meals in a conventional and communal space. These spaces also allow access to an outdoor terrace through a set of large wooden doors. The kitchen is possibly Villa Pirolita’s most attractive feature due to the emerald green colour scheme seen throughout. Alongside the striking colours, this space includes everything guests would need to create an assortment of delicious meals for the whole family to enjoy.
Villa Pirolita is also home to three outstanding bedrooms, giving each guest their own sense of privacy and space. The first bedroom contains a spacious double bed as well as a selection of storage options. Therefore, guests can store their belongings in a safe place whilst they go off to explore everything that Colares has to offer. The second bedroom also contains a double bed, again combining space and convenience for guests to enjoy. Finally, the third bedroom contains a single bed that has a storage drawer attached. As a result, this room is ideal for a child who is looking to gain their first taste of independence.

Colares is well recognised for its nuanced food scene, collating a plethora of flavours and dishes all in one place. Cooking Lisbon allows guests to take part in this incredible scene with their varied range of cooking classes. During this alluring attraction, guests will have the opportunity to cook, prepare, and eat a high-quality three-course meal. These meals will comprise a fish dish, a meat dish, and a dessert. Guests will also have the chance to taste the food prepared by their classmates. These cooking classes take place in R. Bernadim Ribeiro, which is around 45-minutes away from the centre of Colares. Prices for this type of activity are fairly reasonable, costing about €72 per guest.

This attraction is a self-guided walking tour that encourages guests to embody the persona of a private investigator who is looking to solve the mysterious death of a famous singer. You must solve a collection of puzzles and riddles to help solve the case and bring justice to the local community. The Murder Mystery Exploration Game begins at the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, which is just under an hour away from Colares. An English-speaking tour costs around €7, and guests must have access to the internet in order to take part.
As Colares is surrounded by a selection of beaches, surfing is a very popular sport within this region. Surfing schools such as Surf At Surf School provide a selection of surfing lessons in a safe and approachable environment. Guests will receive all of the necessary equipment as well as an in-depth safety briefing to make sure they are completely comfortable before entering the water. These lessons take place at Praia Grande, which is just over 5-minutes away from Colares. A single lesson costs around €30 per guest, and a pack of three lessons cost around €80.

In the environs of Colares are the beaches of Praia das Maças, Praia Grande and Adraga, and the typical village of Azenhas do Mar, with its whitewashed houses inset in the side of a cliff.
Colares is also a demarcated wine-growing region, producing the very popular and increasingly rare Colares wine, which can be tasted at the Adega Regional, in a very beautiful building in the town centre.

With over 450 species to discover, including sharks, seagulls, and sea plants, this aquarium offers a collection of exhibitions and artefacts to help solidify the knowledge of growing young minds. This museum focuses on both education and conservation, sharing key insights into the developing and ever-changing nature of our planet. The Lisbon Oceanarium can be found just 45-minutes away, with tickets costing just €19 for adults and €13 for children.
The Park and Palace of Monserrate is a wondrous attraction that allows the true beauty of Portugal to shine through. The palace was built using a range of design motifs such as Gothic, Indian, and Moorish, making it a cultural and rich landmark to discover. Inside, there are a collection of Romantic statues that further emphasise the far-reaching history of this monumental palace. The palace is also surrounded by a selection of rich and diverse horticulture, giving guests the chance to explore these eco-systems in more detail. The Park and Palace of Monserrate are just over 10-minutes away from the centre of Colares and tickets cost €8 for adults and €6.50 for children.
Street art is a key asset to Portugal’s history, with some of the finest pieces dispersed around multiple regions. The City Guru offers a unique walking tour that shows off all of the street art that Lisbon has to offer. This tour allows guests to uncover the wonder of the Urban Art Gallery as well as an abandoned car park that has now been transformed into an amazing gallery. The expert guide will explain every piece of art in full detail, enabling guests to broaden their knowledge of this nuanced art style. This street art tour lasts for around three hours and starts at the Interprets Building in Bairro Alto, which is around an hour away from Colares. Tickets cost around €35 per guest.
