Situated in Aroeira’s luxurious golf resort, close to the Costa da Caparica coastline, sits this elegant four-bedroom villa. Stylish décor, creamy tones, and contemporary art on the walls make this a wonderfully attractive home. The lounge has a pleasant sense of tranquillity with its high ceiling, comfortable sofas and chairs and large patio doors and windows. There’s also a fireplace to keep things cosy on winter nights. The separate kitchen is sleek and shiny and has all the modern appliances you’ll need to cook up a feast. For casual dining, eat at the breakfast table or step through to the stylish dining room, where you’ll find a table seating eight people. Two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are also located on this floor, and all are furnished in a pleasant fashion with heavy drapes and plump cushions. They also have patio doors that lead out to the swimming pool.
From the ground floor, the cool tones sweep upstairs to the first floor, where the remaining two bedrooms are located. Both rooms feature twin beds, and homely touches include ambient lighting, artwork on the walls and windows that offer up views of the surrounding pine trees. Each room also has a pristine en-suite bathroom.
Back on ground level, step outside and spend time relaxing poolside, soak up the sun on a lounger or lie in the hammock and let the scent of pine from the trees waft over you. Come lunchtime, throw some fresh fish on the barbeque and enjoy al fresco dining at the terrace table. And as the day draws to an end, unwind with a chilled drink on the lawn and watch as the sun dips behind the tall trees.
The villa is set within a golf resort, and guests can enjoy a range of facilities, including two golf courses, four tennis courts, a shopping mall, bars and restaurants. Praia da Fonte da Telha beach is also a 5-minute drive away and an excellent spot for surfing and kitesurfing.

About the surrounding area of Villa SailiVilla Saili sits within the Aroeira Golf Resort, an exclusive resort surrounded by a magnificent pine forest and just a few minutes' drive from the Costa da Caparica coastline. The natural woodland adds to the tranquillity, and there are a number of walking trails for guests who want to explore the area on foot. If you're after more activity, there are two pristine 18-hole golf courses, plus tennis courts, restaurants, snack bars and a friendly clubhouse right on your doorstep.
For a day at the beach, head to Praia da Fonte da Telha. Once a traditional fishing village, today it is known for its seafood restaurants and long, sandy beach. The beach is popular with the Portuguese and boasts crystal clear waters. It's also a good spot for surfing and kitesurfing, thanks to the favourable winds. If you fancy trying your hand at either sport, you can hire a board at the surf rental stores or book a lesson at the kitesurfing school. After a dip in the sea (the water is chilly, so be sure to wear a wetsuit), stroll to the town and feast on seafood specialities, including fresh sardines, clams, and garlic shrimp. The beach is backed by golden cliffs, and at the top of the cliffs, a coastal footpath heads both north and south.
For a beautiful walk in nature, enjoy the 7km hike south to the freshwater lagoon, Lagoa de Albufeira, where you can swim in the warm shallow waters. Bird lovers can also head inland to the nearby marshes and while away a few hours spotting gulls, egrets and osprey. Fonte da Telha also lies within the Arriba Fossil Nature Reserve and is a tranquil place to explore with its foliage, wildlife and stunning views. Further attractions and historical sights can be found in Portugal's capital, Lisbon, a 30-minute drive from the villa.

THE REGION
Only 25 km from Lisbon, located in a protected pine woodland and close to the coastal town of Caparica, Aroeira is a unique estate comprising two golf courses. Aroeira offers golfers the perfect combination of a championship course set amidst exuberant natural surroundings.
The closest beach from Aroeira is Fonte de Telha. It is a pretty good spot for Surfers, and you will also find several choices of beach bars and restaurants to go to. The beach also offers free showers located right at the entrance near the main path in front of the parking spaces and the mini market.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Saili has plenty of space for everyone. Children will love the bedrooms, featuring double beds and twin beds, and with en-suite bathrooms, there’ll be no queuing for the bathroom in the morning. Surrounded by tall pine trees, kids can enjoy privacy and spend the day splashing in the outdoor swimming pool, relaxing on a sun lounger or playing on the shady lawn. A covered terrace and barbeque area mean family meals can be enjoyed al fresco. Afterwards, the whole family can gather together in the spacious lounge and relax on the comfortable sofas and chairs and enjoy watching a film.
Located on a golf resort, Villa Saili has a wealth of attractions right on its doorstep. Children can enjoy a walk through the pine forest, or they can practise their tennis skills on one of the four tennis courts, while older children can play a round on one of the championship golf courses. After all that activity, they can grab a bite to eat at one of the snack bars.
Although the villa benefits from a peaceful resort setting, it’s only 5 minutes by car to the Costa da Caparica coastline and its beautiful sandy beaches. Praia da Fonte da Telha is the closest beach and is a good spot for families. Here children can build sandcastles on the shore while older kids can try their hand at surfing. If you want to swim in the water, head 30 minutes south to Lagoa de Albufeira. Here children of all ages can splash safely in the calm, warm water or play in the sand dunes.
For further entertainment, be sure to explore Portugal’s capital, Lisbon. A 30-minute drive from the villa, activities here include an aquarium, zoo and science museum. And if, after all this exploring, your feet start to tire, be sure to hop on one of the old trams and traverse the narrow streets and striking squares in comfort.

Fabulous Villa
We stayed at Villa Saili for a week during August and had a fantastic holiday. The villa has everything you need and is in a beautiful location. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning – this did not cause us too many problems as we had some fans – but it is not ideal in the heat of summer, especially during the night. All in all though we would definitely return to this villa.
