When walking into Huma Beachfront villa, you are immediately drawn to the double doors that open up towards the Bay of Kotor. This open plan living area is the perfect communal space with a luxury twist. Timeless furniture set out a lounge area accompanied by a flat-screen TV. The inclusion of Mediterranean colours coral blue and dusky pink as well as creams and golds make the transitions from space to space seamless. Continuing around the room, you’ll find a dining table plus a modern kitchen complete with a breakfast bar and appliances.

On the first floor, minimal, elegant décor creates three elegant bedrooms to relax and rest after a day of exploring. The master bedroom includes a walk-in wardrobe, its own en-suite bathroom and doors opening onto a private balcony. Continue to the second and third bedrooms, both beautifully finished with views overlooking the bay, plus a separate bathroom. All bedrooms have king-sized beds for ultimate comfort as well as air-conditioning, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers!

Back on the ground floor, through the double doors in the living area, is a private patio for you to enjoy at your leisure. You’ll also have access to the swimming pools, spas, the bay of Kotor itself, three restaurants, plus a breakfast room- all within the grounds of Huma Hotel and Villas. A variety of land and water tours are also available to book. Please note activities, as well as the use of the spa and restaurants, may not be included in the initial price of your booking and may need to be booked in advance to avoid missing out.

Towering mountains encircling the bay makes the setting of this villa one never to forget. The culture, history and adventures available set this holiday apart as you discover every side of this exquisite landscape.

Set between the protective mountains and calming crystal waters of the bay, Huma Beachfront villa is ideally situated. Huma offers an effortless experience with every step as you immerse yourself in its peaceful rooms, delicious restaurants and exciting tours, all packed with the culture and history of this beautiful bay.
There is not one but two outdoor infinity pools effortlessly, continuing the beauty of the bay into the luxury of the resort. It is hard not to be enticed to the shimmering waters, which you can access from Virtu beach. White pebbles merge the turquoise water to the edge of the mountains above. Explore more of the Bay with Huma, who offer kayaking, paddle boarding, canyoning tours, as well as speed boat sessions- you can be one with the waves within the safety of the Montenegrin mountains. See the magic of the bay sparkle in the evenings with a Kotor Boat Night Tour- Huma really is an oasis to be enjoyed by everyone.

Experience the culture and history of the local area by exploring the local towns and villages dotted along the Montenegro coastline. Famous for its history, the town of Kotor is one of the best-preserved towns in Montenegro and only three kilometres east of the villa. Its crimson rooftops, narrow streets, stone walls and Mediterranean shutters are a step into history. Try the Kotor Old Town Viewpoint to capture the impressive view of the mountains encompassing the town and bay below you. Please note it is a steep climb and will require sensible footwear. Within the town itself, there is plenty to see. Visit the Sea Gate, discover the history of the town at the Maritime Museum or simply roam the narrow streets filled with twists and turns. Food and drinks along the waterfront of the bay are easy to find and very welcoming.

Go even further on a land tour to witness one of the oldest human settlements, reaching back to the 5th century- Budva. Famed for its medieval walled town and sandy beaches, Budva flourishes in the summer months, making it the centre of tourism within Montenegro. All of which Huma provides and encourages you to experience to gain the full Bay of Kotor tour. The biggest challenge will be to leave this corner of the world at the end of your stay.

About the Region & Getting There

About the Bay of Kotor

The Bay of Kotor, or Boka, has been a World Heritage Site since 1979, so be assured of its captivating scenery that includes; a Venetian old town, a Fortress, Roman Mosaics, churches and a glistening cove that all culminate to provide guests with an exceptional holiday destination.

Sailing through the fjord you will notice the Orjen Mountains along the west, and the Lovćen Mountain range curling around the east, which outline this spellbinding landscape. As you enter through the bay you are greeted by a man-made islet that is home to Our Lady of the Rocks Church and a museum. This is the first of many reminders that you are about to reach a region of Montenegro that is famed for its natural scenery and poignant architecture.

The Bay of Kotor is made up of four cornerstones - Lastva, Morinj, Stoliv and the most renowned Tivat. Within these villages you are able to find iconic landmarks such as St Petka Church and St Mary’s Church, or for something a little less pious; simply enjoy Tivat Marina and Gornji Stoliv’s Olive grove & Fig orchard.

Travel inland and strap on a pair of hiking boots as you explore Lovcen National Park. Although it is about an hours drive from the Bay, it really is worth the day trip! Whether you’re travelling with a Botanists, Ecologist, Entomologist or Zoologist; they will be pleased to know that there’s an immeasurable number of species that include birds, insects, bears, wolves and some breath-taking flora & fauna.

We urge holidaymakers to make the most of Kodor! This charming town has everything you need to forget the day-to-day tribulations of home life. Not only does this small medieval refuge have a host of cafes & restaurants, but there are some must see attractions like the Maritime Museum, the Cats Museum of Kotor, Cats of Kotor Shop and St. John’s Hill. The perfect retreat for a family in need of sun, sea & sentiment.

Prior to Booking

As many of our regions in Montenegro are coastal, there can sometimes be some adverse weather. This tends to only really occur outside of the Peak Season though. When thinking about booking your holiday to Montenegro, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.

From the UK:
Direct flights are available from London on Montenegro Airlines, easyJet, TUI, Ryanair and many others. Chartered flights are also available from several other UK airports.

From Dubrovnik, Croatia:
Connecting flights are available from Dubrovnik Airport to Podgorica Airport.

By Bus:

Morning or afternoons sessions are available so that you can sneak away for a couple of hours to the spa or cocktails by the pool, then be reunited for more family fun. Huma also offers babysitting on request so you can enjoy an evening of peace and rest. Please note there are added costs using these great services.

There are two pools for you all to use, and Huma also provides adventure tours on sea or land to discover the landscape and history from every angle together (make sure you check for any age restrictions and costs before booking). Older children will also enjoy getting stuck into some kayaking, paddleboarding, canyoning and Tara River rafting tours.
