Location
About the surrounding area of Aegean View VillaAegean View Villa has a brilliant location on the shores of Korfalonas in a rural setting just a short drive from the popular town of Kissamos in Western Crete. The second-largest city, Chania, is just a 20-minute car journey away and makes a fantastic day out with its lovely Venetian old town to explore.
Chania airport is only forty-five minutes away. Korfalonas is between the beaches and Mavros Molos and Drapanias Beach. In this area - the strip between Kissamos and the Rodopos peninsula - there are many beaches in a row. The small hamlet of Korfalonas can be found a little further from the coast just south of the beach. The valley behind the beach is very fertile and green.
Korfalonas Beach is a sandy beach with some small pebbles. On the beach there here are a couple of tavernas and also sunbeds and umbrellas available to hire. Korfalonas is a quiet beach, with sand and shingle, there is an impressive ruin of an old Venetian building.

How to reach Chania
There are two ways to reach Chania: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: Chania Airport (CHQ) is only a 20 minutes ride away from central Chania. During the summer months, frequents overseas and domestic flights are performed. In most of the cases, there are available buses that connect Chania city and most of the villas. You can also hire a car from one of the many rental companies at the airport, or alternatively get a taxi to bring you right to your doorstep.
By ferry: If you choose to do an island-hopping trip and use the ferry as a method of transportation, then the closest port is in Souda, only 8km from the centre of Chania. Only ferries from Piraeus in Athens or Heraklion in Crete. Heraklion port has a wider choice: you can also take a ferry from other Greek islands like Santorini, Mykonos or Paros, but you will have to take a longer bus ride to reach your villa. You can easily book your ferry tickets using the link below or the booking engine.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesBeing just two bedrooms the Aegean View Villa is suited to small families, and although a cot is available it's probably not great for toddlers. Children will love the close proximity to the beach, as will those enjoying an early morning swim.
Crete has plenty of beaches to choose between, from sugar-fine sand to pebbles, and hidden coves to public stretches. Add the coral-blue waters aglimmer with sunken ships to explore while snorkelling, and the fun boat trips to be had, and you can see that the se is going to be a big part of your Cretan adventure. But there are many other attractions that will light their imaginations, ranging from myriad ruins, monestaries and museums.
Greek cuisine is all about sharing, and ordering lots of meze a great way to get your children try the local food and find their favourites. Some dishes that kids might grow to love include kalamari (fried squid), tiropitakia (cheese parcels in filo pastry),dolmades (flavoured rice wrapped in vine leaves) and saganaki (fried cheese). Most menus also include international kids' faves such as pizza, omelettes, chips (French fries) and spaghetti.
