Mas Cotillard is a warm and comfortable villa with spacious interiors and attractive furnishings, perfect for a calming holiday with family or friends with beautiful gardens surrounding you. The villa benefits from three king-size bedrooms, all of which can be made up as twins, including a master ground floor double with an en suite bathroom and pretty doors opening onto the terrace.
The 7000m2 gardens will delight you whether enjoying coffee on the tranquil terrace, swimming in the 15m long swimming pool, having fun in the little children’s play area or feasting by the summer kitchen and pool house.
Gordes is only 3km away, a perched Luberon village with such an idyllic ambience as you stroll around its narrow lanes filled with cafes, little shops and glorious viewpoints of Luberon landscapes. Make the most of the Tuesday morning market – food lovers will also adore markets in nearby places such as Coustellet, Ménerbes and Apt.
Visit the summer lavender fields around Abbaye de Sénanque, canoe or kayak along the Sorgue river in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and browse antiques in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
Then there’s historic Avignon and artistic Aix-en-Provence waiting to be explored or you may just prefer to take long walks through nearby orchards, vineyards and woodland, the perfect way to discover the natural beauty of this captivating part of Provence.

About the surrounding area of Mas CotillardIn the Luberon region of Provence, Mas Cotillard is located 3km from Gordes, one of France’s classified ‘Plus Beaux Villages’.
Gordes is one of Luberon’s most loved perched villages and the surrounding landscapes have inspired the likes of Van Gogh over the years. Wander around the village’s narrow lanes, coming across pretty cafes, charming little shops and restaurants, admiring the many viewpoints as you explore. The Tuesday morning market is so atmospheric and a lovely place to pick up seasonal local delights and lavender products.
The Abbaye de Sénanque is surrounded by lavender fields from approximately the end of June to early August. Further afield, Sault (31km) is also known for its lavender farms and distilleries which you can visit at any time of year whilst there is a Lavender museum near Coustellet (10km), a village also known for its wonderful Farmer’s market on a Sunday morning.
Discover beautiful walks, hikes and cycle rides through the Luberon region and beyond, passing vineyards and wineries, orchards and woodland. Come across picture-perfect villages that this part of Provence is so famous for with gems such as Ménerbes, Bonnieux and Roussillon so near. Soak up the ambience of delightful markets, such as on a Saturday morning in Apt, and visit L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue’s brocante on a Sunday morning, one of the largest antique markets in France.
There are more incredible hikes to be experienced around Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, then hire canoes and kayaks to admire the natural beauty of the Sorgue river. Adventurous guests can also seek out horse-riding and even rock-climbing near the small village of Buoux.
Other places to visit across this part of southern France include the foothills of Mont Ventoux, the historic UNESCO sites of Avignon, the book shops and cafes of Aix-en-Provence and the art galleries of Saint-Rémy, all reached within an hour or so by car.

Best Suited For: All AgesThe Luberon is a fantastic region for outdoor loving families who will adore walks through woodland, vineyards and orchards as well as cycling trails, horse-riding and rock-climbing.
Spend the day canoeing or kayaking along the Sorgue river from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, which is also open to a tree-top adventure centre with activities for children aged 3+ (depending on height).
Families may also enjoy visiting the caves at Grottes de Thouzon or head to Parc Spirou, an amusement park just north of Avignon. Meanwhile, train lovers will love the model railways at Le Jarditrain, around half an hour by car.
Driving south, Zoo Barben is about an hour away, close to another tree-top activity centre near Salon-de-Provence and the amusement parks Parc Grimmland and Le Village Des Automates.
