This air-conditioned 6-bedroom villa features ample room for everyone whether a group of friends wishing to experience the joys of Provence or a family looking to spend quality time in spacious surroundings. We love how sliding doors from the contemporary kitchen open out to the al-fresco dining terrace. Make the most of the plancha-style barbecue and enjoy feasts and perhaps a glass of good local wine as you look out to the picturesque garden.
The grounds are such a Provençal joy and there are glimpses of Les Alpilles hills as you chill out on the sofas beneath the cooling trees. There is plenty of space for kids to play, an atmospheric pétanque court and of course the glorious 10m long swimming pool which will appeal to everyone.
Saint-Rémy awaits just a short drive away where you can soak up the artistic ambience as you come across charming shops, art galleries, restaurants and the weekly Wednesday morning market.
Explore other idyllic villages of the Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles such as Les Baux-de-Provence and Eygalières, sample the olive oil of Maussane-les-Alpilles and Mouriès, then visit the wineries of Saint-Rémy and beyond – the vineyards of the Luberon and Rhône valley can also be reached for a fantastic day out.
Take walks through the gorgeous landscapes of olive trees, orchards and woodland, discover cycling and horse-riding trails or spend time in nearby towns and cities from Arles and Avignon to Aix-en-Provence and beyond in this remarkable part of southern France.

About the surrounding area of L'Hirondelle ProvencaleJust over 2km from the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in a calming setting with other villas dotted around, L’Hirondelle Provençale is in a fantastic location for exploring the Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles and beyond, with Avignon just half an hour by car.
You can reach Saint-Rémy in about a 5-minute drive, a charming town that is famed for its artistic ambience where Vincent Van Gogh created so many works of art. Come across studios and galleries as you wander down little lanes, follow the Van Gogh trail ending at Saint-Paul de Mausole and look out for art markets in the summer.
The Wednesday morning market is also delightful where you can pick up a wealth of seasonal produce from across Provence. Food lovers will also appreciate the atmospheric range of restaurants in the town whilst wine connoisseurs can visit some of the wineries close to Saint-Rémy (as well as travelling further afield to vineyards around the Luberon and Rhône valley).
Visit the idyllic village of Les Baux-de-Provence (13km) and its impressive château, take long walks through spectacular landscapes of orchards, woodland and olive groves, enjoy a leisurely lunch out in Maussane-les-Alpilles (12km) and sample some of France’s finest olive oil produced from the region’s olive trees – both Maussane-les-Alpilles and Mouriès are well known for their olive oil production.
Other characterful gems of Les Alpilles include villages such as Orgon and Eygalières or head a little further towards the artistic town of Arles, the gateway to the Camargue. The Luberon also awaits with idyllic perched villages such as Gordes, Ménerbes and Bonnieux all reached within 45 to 50 minutes by car, not to mention yet more hiking and cycling opportunities through the stunning landscapes.
Not forgetting the small city of Avignon (22km) with its UNESCO World Heritage sites, enchanting and artistic Aix-en-Provence (70km) and even the Mediterranean coast – Cassis (120km) and the Calanques National Park would make a fantastic day out.

Best Suited For: All AgesIn a picturesque setting just a short drive from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, this region offers a wealth of activities for families with children for every age.
The Parc Naturel Régional des Alpilles (and the neighbouring region of the Luberon) offer some wonderful walks, horse-riding and pony-trekking, challenging rock-climbs as well as cycle rides and adventurous mountain biking opportunities. Outdoor lovers may also love hiring canoes or kayaks in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, a great way to admire the beauty of the Sorgue river.
Young artists can follow Vincent Van Gogh’s art trail around Saint-Rémy (as well as Arles, about 30km away), perhaps combined with a trip to the archaeological site of Glanum. Close to Les Baux-de-Provence, check out the light and sound shows at Carrières de Lumières when famous works of art are projected on to the quarry walls.
Elsewhere, a tree-top adventure centre can be found in Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, there are some fascinating caves at Grottes de Thouzon whilst Parc Spirou, an amusement park with rides for a variety of ages, is located just north-east of Avignon.
