Located on a hillside above the southern end of Surin Beach, mid-way along with Phuket’s scenic west coast, Villa Sammasan offers ocean views and an abundance of space. This five-bedroom holiday home is one of eight properties on an exclusive private estate and brims with a serene elegance and understated grandeur. Ideal for families, groups of friends or multiple couples travelling together, Grand Villa Noi provides the perfect home away from home.
Large windows fill Villa Sammasan with natural light and allow for guests to appreciate glorious ocean views at every turn. The villa sleeps 7 comfortably. A huge master suite occupies the entire upper floor of Villa Sammasan, furnished with a king-size modern four-poster bed and stylish chaise-longue. The smart ensuite bedroom has a twin vanity, jacuzzi bathtub with ocean views, shower enclosure and separate toilet.
Two similarly sized guest bedrooms (one furnished with a queen-size bed, the other with twins plus a roll-away bed) are tucked below the pool on the villa’s lower level, each with an ensuite bathroom and floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto small balconies. Minimalist decor enhances the overall openness of the rooms, adding to the contemporary and calming vibe of the accommodation.
The central living and dining area is fronted by a wall of glass panels that open out onto the stunning pool area. The funky eight-seater dining table and a sleek, modern kitchen with breakfast bar counter lie at one end of the room and a comfortable leather suite and coffee table at the other. The villa is decorated with bright modern artwork throughout, adding splashes of colour to the fresh white interiors.
Woodwork and bathroom fittings also come in vibrant hues, creating a fun yet relaxed ambience throughout the villa. Behind the living area is a media room equipped with a flat-screen TV and furnished with a deep comfy L-shaped sofa, which can be converted to a bed if extra space is needed. A guest washroom can be accessed from here.
Outside, the 9-metre infinity pool forms the central focus of this extraordinary property. The stylishly furnished pool deck includes sun loungers, as well as a fantastic built-in day bed. There is also a poolside relaxation sala with sunken cushioned seating, perfect for gathering in the evening with a cocktail watching the sun set on another day in paradise.
The villa’s private chef is on hand to cook lunches and dinner, however, the villa is also well placed, with many excellent restaurants nearby, should guests wish to dine out. With its impressive facilities, stunning views and tranquil surroundings, Villa Sammasan has everything guests need to relax in absolute luxury.

About the surrounding area of Villa SammasanVilla Sammasan is part of the Surin Heights private estate, which comprises 10 luxury villas and a low-rise condominium. Set up the hillside near the end of the estate’s private road, the villa offers a full and majestic view of Surin bay on Phuket’s central west coast.
A five-minute walk down the hill takes you to Surin Beach, an 800m stretch of fine sand that has been cleared of all commercial activity and restored to its natural state. Take a long walk down the road towards Kamala and find the hidden Laem Singh Beach, a small cove with lovely clear water for snorkelling.
A few kilometres to the north is Bang Tao Beach, where part of the shoreline is lined with the several Laguna Phuket resorts and their spas, water sports, golf, upscale dining and other leisure activities. Find sunset cocktails and the occasional DJ party at the sprinkling of beach clubs along the sand.
In the hills and headlands around Surin Beach are some of Phuket’s finest villas and resorts including the Amanpuri celebrity escape and Twinpalms with its sought-after Sunday brunches. Surin is thankfully still resisting Phuket’s mega mall trend, but there are certainly some shopping treasures to be found here in the boutique clothing, art and gift shops in Surin Plaza and the independent shops along the streets.

Villa Sammasan’s guest relations manager will have a wealth of information about nearby places of interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required.
Guests can explore the delights of the Andaman Sea aboard a luxury yacht charter, or on a scuba diving or snorkelling excursion. The beautiful sights of Phang Nga Bay, Raya islands, Similan Islands, Koh Phi Phi and more are all within an easy day’s sail. Phuket has a brilliant beach club scene: decadent brunches, DJ dance parties and romantic sunset dinners are all within a short distance of Grand Villa Noi.
The natural hot springs in Phang Nga are worth a visit, and The Hotspring Beach Resort and Spa is happy to accommodate day-trippers who are looking to relax on the spacious property. There are two hot pools as well as two cold pools, and an on-site restaurant to grab a bite to eat and refreshments before dipping into the pools once again.
For those that love watersports, windsurfing, wakeboarding, sea kayaking or standup paddling can be easily arranged. For those that prefer to stay on dry land, guests can enjoy a round of golf at the Laguna Phuket Golf Club, Blue Canyon, Mission Hills or other fantastic Phuket golf courses on offer.
For the adrenaline junkies, there is ATV riding, zip line sessions and bungy jumping, as well as beautiful waterfalls to visit and mysterious jungle trails to follow. Splash Jungle Water Park, located close to Natai Beach, offers various attractions such as a wave pool, water slides and a water play area. There is also a restaurant on-site, as well as a swim-up bar to enjoy a refreshment or two.
Take a cultural tour of Phuket’s rich history and traditional life, learn more about the history behind the restored Sino-Portuguese shops and mansions and sample some of the island’s best local cuisine. There are countless temples and religious monuments to visit in Phuket; those that seek to immerse themselves in the Thai culture will not be disappointed.
Guests can also learn how to make fragrant, spicy and flavourful Thai cuisine in a cookery class at the nearby Nahmyaa restaurant in Como Point Yamu resort, or try a class with the master of Thai fusion, Chef Tammasak “Noi” Chootong, who has opened a new branch of his celebrated Suay restaurant in nearby Cherng Talay.
