Casa Paraiso Mar has been newly renovated and is a wonderful spot for a holiday with family or friends. It enjoys an elevated hillside position, and stunning panoramic views over the bay of Santo Tomas and the azure waters below. The villa is laid out with the bedrooms on the ground floor, and living accommodation on the first floor, which along with large windows throughout, makes the most of the heavenly views.

The living room has a flat screen TV, DVD player, L-shaped leather sofa and access straight out to the terrace. It’s open plan to the dining room, where there is a table and chairs as well as access to the terrace – so perfect for long lunches out of the sun, with the doors left open to catch the sea breeze.

The kitchen is fully fitted with modern units, and all the appliances you might need – there’s also a serving hatch through to the dining room which makes a lovely feature, and means the cook in your group won’t feel  tucked away.

The bedrooms are all of a good size and are on the ground floor – they all have large glass doors that lead straight out to the pool terrace, so grab a coffee first thing in the morning and wander straight outside to enjoy it in the sunshine. There’s a master bedroom with a four poster bed and en-suite family bathroom; and two further twin bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms. There’s also a further guest bathroom with shower.

Outside you’ll find a 9x5m infinity swimming pool with massage jets, there’s an outdoor shower here too, so no need for sandy feet from the nearby beaches to make their way indoors. There are two terraces, both with lounge and dining furniture, as well as a BBQ. It’s only a short walk to the nearest supermarket, so head out in the morning for fresh ingredients, and enjoy cooking them back here at the villa – nothing quite says you’re on holiday like a long lazy lunch, followed by a refreshing dip in the pool.

  • The bedrooms aren’t air conditioned, but there are fans supplied – plus there are tiled floors, shutters and a cool sea breeze to keep you cool
  • We recommend hiring a car – the beach is a short walk away, but the villa is in an elevated position so a car is recommended
  • 50% deposit required to secure a booking
  • For bookings up to 7 nights the cleaning is included in the rental cost, over 7 night there is an extra charge for towels, sheets and cleaning if required

The coast along this stretch of southern Menorca is home to a small variety of tourist resorts and unspolit beaches, Santo Tomas being the principal resort. There are many 'calas' or coves that are encompassed by pine-covered cliffs along the coast, where there are small sandy beaches only accessible by foot or by sea, which mean they are very rarely busy.

THE REGION

Santo Tomas is situated in the municipality of es Migjorn Gran. It is just a stone's throw away from both Cala Galdana and Son Bou. This area has a very relaxing feel to the town, which feels more the way of a strip. It is ideal for couples and young families and has lots of entertainment at hotels and bars. There is plenty of activities for the kids too.

The town has a beautiful walk that surrounds the place and the beach of Santo Tomas. Undoubtedly, it's an excellent place to walk with the family. In addition, it has some children's parks, restaurants and pubs to enjoy a delicious cocktails.

Three beaches define Santo Tomas, San Adeodato beach, or Binicodrell, Sant Tomas beach, and Binigaus beach. This last one is the most famous as it used to be empty of people, and the turquoise waters are astonishing.
