A vast and homely property based in the charming region of Pollensa, Villa Tamarell is ideal for families who are eager to make the most out of their holiday of a lifetime. The exterior of this property is home to a spacious lawn area as well as a considerable swimming pool, meaning that guests can run freely and cool off at any point during their stay. Guests can also revel in a riveting selection of outdoor terraces, giving them the chance to kick back and relax as they learn to appreciate the stunning views that surround them.
 
Inside, this property offers everything that guests would need to enjoy a truly comforting and joyful stay. The living area is complete with two bright white sofas, both of which are perfect for relaxing after a long day and for catching up with your favourite shows on the flatscreen TV that sits at the back of the room. Moving on to the dining area, this space includes a simplistic monochrome table and an accompanying selection of orange chairs. In turn, these exquisite design choices allow guests to enjoy their daily meals in an attractive and communal environment. The kitchen within this property is incredibly chic, making good use of a collection of looming wooden cabinets as well as a sleek breakfast bar. Villa Tamarell can be found just under 15 minutes away from the centre of Pollensa, a region that is consistently commended for its impressive history and alluring landmarks. One of the area’s most unusual attractions is Placa de l’Almonia, a small square that is home to a house that was once run by wealthy university students. These individuals often used their own funds to support the region’s poorest citizens, making it a key asset to its immense native history. Back on the 30th of May 1550, this square also hosted a ferocious battle between violent ambushers and the town’s peasant community. To celebrate the bravery shown by those who fought on this day, modern citizens hold a moving ceremony every August. Placa de l’almunia is situated just over 10 minutes away from the villa.
 
If you wish to uncover more about Pollensa’s rich religious roots, you must visit the remarkable Puig de Maria. Based at the top of a 330-metre summit, this gracious monastery was first built in 1348 as a devoted and passionate shrine to the Virgin Mary. Throughout the years, it has been completely transformed but now showcases a traditional 18th-century style, complete with a diverse array of Gothic and Baroque motifs. Many previous guests have also said that it only takes around half an hour to climb to the top of the peak, making it an accessible hike for those who are looking to embark on a sightseeing tour with a twist. The Puig de Maria is based just 10 minutes away from Villa Tamarell.
 
For those looking to rekindle their sense of adventure whilst, on holiday, a trip to Alzinaret Caves is a must-do activity. Though these structures were originally discovered in 1927, it is believed that they date all the way back to 1600 BC. As such, guests now have the privilege of observing and examining a wealth of alluring artefacts that were originally sourced from the Middle Bronze Age. With around 14 caves in total to explore, this is an ideal attraction for those who are eager to try something new and observe the delightful region from an entirely new perspective. Alzinaret Caves are located just over 15 minutes away from the villa.

THE REGION

Sa Pobla is a small municipality with around 12,000 inhabitants, which is situated in the centre of Mallorca, between Inca and Alcúdia. Sa Pobla is known for its agriculture and the humble potato, in particular, gets a lot of attention here as it is exported to many countries and a festival is even held in its honour each year.

The town of Sa Pobla is partly on the Albufera nature reserve (Parc natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca), a protected wetland area. The nature reserve is particularly good for bird watching as well as hikes and walks.

Pollensa also offers a striking array of enticing landmarks, making it a perfect holiday destination for the whole family. If you are travelling to this area in November, you must take the time to visit La Fira, a traditional craft fair. This event has occurred every year since 1784 and works to celebrate the area’s passion and commitment to its history and creativity. During your time at this fair, you will come across a variety of handmade items, such as woven bags and hats. In turn, this is a fantastic attraction to visit if you are looking to step back in time and view this region for all its ancient glory. La Fira often occurs on the second Sunday of November and usually continues until the following Tuesday.
 
The Joan March Gardens is a truly idyllic landmark, which can be found just 10 minutes away from the villa. These gardens were first formed in the late 1980s as a way to celebrate the March family, a group of savvy individuals who helped to spur this sleepy town into an unbelievable economic boom. Alongside its admirable presence in the area, this landmark also hosts a plethora of amazing plants, such as rich olive trees, which can often be seen on the town’s traditional coat of arms. As a result, this is an unmissable attraction for those who wish to let go of the stressors of normal life and learn to take more notice of the natural wonders that surround them. In addition, these gardens are open 24 hours a day, meaning that guests can visit them at any point during their trip.
 
The Pollensa market is a great place to visit if you wish to immerse yourself deeper in the atmosphere found throughout this area. With over 300 stalls to discover, guests are encouraged to browse through a selection of handmade items such as bags, clothes, and jewellery, allowing them to pick up a few off-beat souvenirs to show off back home. This market also promotes a wealth of fresh fruit and vegetables, meaning that guests can purchase a few new ingredients to use in their own cooking back at the villa. The Pollensa market occurs every Sunday from 8 am to 1:30 pm and is based just 10 minutes away from Villa Tamarell.

Security deposit €1,000 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before/upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 4 pm.
Departure time 10 am.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Pool towels included? Not included.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
Changeover day Saturday during peak season. Flexible all other times.
Pets welcome? Not allowed.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of €71.43 per night (to be paid to OT prior to travel). This extra is only available on request, and with prior arrangement before arrival. Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.
Tax Balearic Eco Tourist Tax is included in Oliver's Travels booking fees.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Other Ts and Cs - A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking at this property (or full payment if booking within 12 weeks of departure).
