A stylish and contemporary villa located in the vibrant region of Pollensa, Casa Diehl is able to create a desirable yet homely atmosphere that every guest will enjoy. The exterior of this property makes use of a variety of unique layouts and furnishings, seen by the petite private swimming pool located on the grounds. Next to this pool is a collection of sun loungers and outdoor seating arrangements. As such, guests are free to sit back and relax as they absorb the idyllic views of their surroundings. The outdoor areas of this property are also encased by high walls, including a tan-coloured cobbled accent wall. This creates a soothing sense of serenity and peace as you relax on holiday. There is also a tremendous brick-built barbecue area so guests can cook amazing meals to enjoy outside.
 
Moving inside the property, all of the amenities are spread out across the lower floor. Therefore, guests can move around this bright and airy space with ease. The combined lounge/dining area includes a wide variety of minimalist furnishings. The grey sofa and glass-topped coffee table help to build a contemporary feel within this deeply modern villa. The dining area uses a dark wooden table that is paired with a collection of white chairs. This contrasting design also helps to balance out the crisp white walls seen on this floor. The kitchen also adheres to an impeccably modern style, helping to build a sense of cohesion and minimalism throughout the villa.
 
The upper level of this property includes three bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a pair of single beds. This room also maintains a traditional style, making use of a wide variety of ornate furnishings. The second bedroom also has a pair of single beds as well as a set of ample bedspreads for guests to enjoy as they drift off to sleep. Finally, the third bedroom includes a spacious double bed which allows for spectacular views of the nearby areas. Casa Diehl also has a unique outdoor balcony area that is equipped with a collection of sun loungers. Guests are encouraged to use this area to its full capacity and top up their tan as they look out at the awe-inspiring views.

Casa Diehl is situated in the historic quarter of the Old Town of Pollensa. The house is a 5 minutes’ walk from the fabulous main square, with all its pavement cafe bars, restaurants and shops on your door step. The property has been lovingly reformed by the owners, using the best quality materials: all the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard.

Casa Diehl is located just a 5-minute walk away from the centre of Pollensa. For those who are looking to learn more about Pollensa’s long-ranging history, Mare de Den Dels Angels Parish Church is a truly wondrous landmark. Translated as Mother of Ten Angles, this beautiful church was first founded in 1236 after the Order of the Knights Templar was finally dissolved. The church went on to become one of the town’s finest landmarks and attracted an abundance of both locals and tourists. Inside the church, guests will have the opportunity to explore all of the religious fixtures and learn more about the foundations of Pollensa and its culture. Mare de Den Dels Angels Parish Church is just a 1-minute walk away from the centre of Pollensa, highlighting its grand significance within the region.
 
Pollensa is also well-known for its assortment of local markets. The acclaimed Pollensa Market can be found within Plaza Major, which is in the main square in the town centre. This market includes over 300 stalls, all of which sell a range of artisan and local goods. Here you will find fresh produce, clothing, and other souvenirs for tourists to enjoy. Markets such as this one help guests to become familiar with local events and help this incredible region feel more like home. Pollensa Market is a local tradition that is held every Sunday between 8 am and 1 pm.
 
Formentor Lighthouse is considered to be one of Pollensa’s greatest sights, encouraging guests to see the town from a new and exciting perspective. The lighthouse first opened in 1863 and is an impressive 210m above sea level. Thus, the long road leading up to the lighthouse allows guests to see the island’s beauty at a peaceful and gradual pace. The stunning rock structures can be seen for miles and amplify the historical legacy of this famous lighthouse. Formentor Lighthouse has captured the hearts of famous poets and photographers, all of which deem the landmark as a true treasure. This attraction is located just under an hour away from the town centre of Pollensa.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Due to its close proximity to a number of main attractions, Casa Diehl allows children to explore everything that Pollensa has to offer. If your child is a lover of the prehistoric era, they will easily fall in love with the Alzinaret Caves. These magnificent caves can be found just over 10-minutes away from the centre of Pollensa, making it a very accessible tourist destination. The Alzinaret Caves dated back to 1600 BC and were first uncovered by a British Archaeologist named Wilfred Hemp in 1927. As time went on, these caves managed to become iconic tourist destinations, allowing guests to explore the depths of these amazing structures.

There are 11 caves in total to explore, meaning that this can is an exciting attraction that the whole family can enjoy.
 
The Pollensa Museum is a perfect landmark for older children as it allows them to explore the artistic origins of this incredible region. This museum was built between 1588 and 1616 but was officially founded in 1975. Take your time as you explore the many exhibits that help to capture the contemporary events expressed through these wondrous art pieces. There is also an abundance of Gothic altarpieces, which were praised in the Summer Exhibition of Painting back in the 1960s. The Pollensa Museum is located right in the town centre, making this a centralised hub for all of the town’s idyllic history. Not to mention, this museum is free to enter and opens from 10 am till 2 pm on weekdays.
 
If you are travelling in August, you have the chance to take part in the Cala San Vicente celebrations. Based in the region of Cala San Vicente, which is just 17-minutes away from the centre of Pollensa, these festivities host an array of local food markets, concerts, and fireworks displays. The festival usually takes place for around ten days, giving tourists enough time to explore the events fully. In recent years, there was an 8-hour long rock concert as well as a high-stakes chess tournament. Children will love exploring the vibrancy of Pollensa’s local culture, and it gives them the chance to join in on all of the festival’s fun events.
