Villa Hortensia sits surrounded by beautiful countryside, with complete privacy for you and your guests to enjoy each other’s company throughout your holiday. Sleeping six guests in the spacious villa, this is the perfect base for exploring the picturesque island of Mallorca with your loved ones.
The surrounding area boasts unspoilt forests, graphic nature, stunning beaches and famous golf courses, keeping everything busy during your stay!
The villa itself is stylish and spacious, with modern furnishings creating an atmosphere of calm and tranquillity through the living spaces. Imagine walking into a home away from home yet offering small luxuries that make you feel as though you have bought yourself a gift!
On the ground floor, there is a spacious, open-plan living, kitchen and dining area boasting all the entertaining space you need for joyous evenings away from your day-to-day routine. The kitchen is fully equipped, so your nominated chef can cook up some fabulous meals, with the most challenging decision being whether to dine inside or out!
The lounge is bright and airy, with comfortable sofas and a satellite television so you can curl up and enjoy quiet moments to yourself. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, as well as a family shower room and a separate toilet. The master suite, with its luxurious private bathroom and tranquil terrace, is located on the top floor, boasting breath-taking views over the surrounding forests of Arta!
Outside, Villa Hortensia is surrounded by extensive private grounds, luscious gardens, and romantic terraces equipped for al-fresco dining. The surrounding forests enclose the villa offering complete privacy and yet letting guests enjoy the dramatic colours of the evening sky as the sun sets each evening.
Sun loungers and parasols surround the large private pool, so you can lie down and finish off your favourite book while enjoying every moment of the Mediterranean sunshine. Villa Hortensia offers something for everyone, an ideal Mallorcan retreat!
What you should know…
- There is only air-conditioning in the bedrooms, however the best way to cool off is a dip in the private pool!
- If you would like to visit the popular towns and beaches on the island, we would recommend hiring a car for your trip
- There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but the villa does offer a barbecue and a spacious, well-equipped kitchen

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa HortensiaVilla Hortensia offers an excellent base for exploring the beautiful island of Mallorca. The villa sits nearby to family-friendly sandy beaches, breathtaking mountain landscapes, peaceful countryside, spectacular coastlines and buzzing resorts.
The beautifully rural location of the casa offers peace and tranquillity for guests. Located near the picturesque country town of Arta in the northeast of the island, there’s a lot to see and do! Tucked in a valley, it is surrounded by the mountains of the Llevant Natural Park along with some of the island's most beautiful rural plains.
Be sure to visit on Tuesdays for its weekly market, which is famous for its local pottery and basket weaving. The historic town also has numerous sites to visit, including the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador and the legendary Caves d’Arta.
If a day at the beach is in order, there are some stunning beaches nearby. Cala Torta is very much unspoilt and only reachable by 4x4 so you will feel a million miles away on the endless white sand and crystal clear waters.
Cala Agulla is definitely worth a visit, the blue flag golden sand beach is surrounded by glorious pine forests and the mountains of Llevant Natural Park; and Cala Ratjada, a quaint fishing port with stunning coves, to explore.
The villa offers a sheltered location, with complete privacy, creating a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. With an abundance of sites of historical interest on the island, Mallorca merely is perfect for culture cravers!
With the island’s rich historical heritage, a villa holiday in Mallorca offers visitors a chance to explore the many ancient settlements and seek out all of its hidden treasures. It is a fantastic, cultural and picturesque destination.
There are also plenty of opportunities to play a round of golf while holidaying in Mallorca where you will discover some excellent championship golf courses, with no less than 23 sessions on the island, offering a variety of different challenges for the keen golfer.
For nature lovers, a holiday in Mallorca presents the perfect opportunity to view the abundance of nature that Mallorca is renowned for. Cycle trails, which take you from the beachfront to the mountainside, are an excellent way to see the island. Bicycles are available to hire locally from around €8 to €20 per day.

THE REGION
The traditional town of Artá sits in the middle of a large valley at the foot of a small mountain in the northeast of Mallorca. The town rigorously clings to its heritage, making few concessions for tourism. The parish church, Transfiguracio del Senyor, dominates the largely pedestrianised centre and skyline of Artá.
Artá’s biggest attractions relate to the cultural heritage of the area. The most popular is undoubtedly the Sanctuary de Sant Salvador and the fortified battlements that surround it.
There are beaches within a short hike of town, and many who brave the walk say it’s just as beautiful as the beach itself. You are also within easy reach of the many attractions the northeast of the island has to offer, such as the Coves del Drac.
