THE REGION
The smallest of the Balearic islands lies just south of Ibiza and is known for its very relaxed vibe. You can arrive in as little as 40 minutes by ferry from Ibiza and you will find a real island paradise, a place where time almost seems to stand still.
People go to Formentera simply to relax, spend time lazing on one of its strikingly beautiful beaches and bathing in its sparkling crystalline waters. It's no surprise that Formentera's beaches are regularly voted as Europe's best, also ranking in the top ten worldwide.
As much as Formentera is a top holiday destination it's also very popular for daytime excursions from Ibiza. It's easy to get around on a rented scooter or bike to explore the charming villages and beautiful beaches, followed by a stop to eat delicious Mediterranean food in one of the many excellent restaurants

One of the highlights is the La Mola Hippy Market, a lively open-air event held every Wednesday and Sunday from 4 pm. It’s a fun, laid-back outing for the whole family, with plenty to browse and a welcoming, artistic vibe.
Another must-see is El Mirador, one of the island’s best viewpoints. Surrounded by pine trees and rugged hills, it’s a brilliant stop for adventurous children and adults alike. After taking in the sweeping views, the on-site restaurant offers a scenic spot to unwind, serving up Mediterranean flavours with a side of incredible panoramas.
Back in the village, the food scene continues to impress. Tapas bars line the streets, offering a creative take on traditional Spanish favourites—from crispy croquettes to generous portions of paella. After dinner, wander through the town’s artisan boutiques and pop-up shops to discover locally made goods and hidden treasures.
