This six-bedroom designer villa is set in the peaceful residential area of Cortijo Blanco, west of Marbella. Just 450 metres from the beach, it's a modern home inviting outdoor living. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors and swathes of uplifting, natural light make this a wonderfully tranquil retreat. On the ground floor, the open-plan design means you can unwind on the huge sofa or chat with friends in the dining area. Whitewashed walls and creamy furnishings have a soothing effect, and added to the style are high-quality furnishings and pendant lighting. There's also a television and fireplace to keep things cosy on cooler nights and a sit-up bar overlooking a billiard table.
Choose between racking up the balls on the billiard table, enjoying a drink, or simply relaxing and soaking up the views of the lush garden with its dazzling pool and giant palm trees. Pristine white walls sweep through to the six bedrooms, and all are light and airy with serene interiors and glorious views. There are also four shiny bathrooms. While the interior is effortlessly elegant, the outside is equally attractive. An outdoor dining area, lounge, and the kitchen provides plenty of space to enjoy.
Start the day with a coffee on the garden furniture while watching the sunrise over the treetops, then plunge into the swimming pool. During the day, take it easy on a lounger or enjoy a good book in the shade. After a day of fun and relaxation, feast al fresco at the large outdoor dining table and watch the stars light up the sky. This is a fabulous place for those seeking relaxation and is a 5-minute stroll to the Playa de Cortijo Blanco and the Mediterranean Sea. Alternatively, it's a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to the designer shops, fine restaurants, and glamorous nightclubs in Puerto Banus.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CassoCortijo Blanco is located east of Nueva Alcantara and the west of Puerto Banus. Although it’s not as vibrant as the neighbouring town of San Pedro Alcantara, it has plenty of character and an excellent mix of cafes, shops and restaurants. The Cortijo Blanco beach is a good place to swim, and palm trees provide plenty of shade. After a dip in the calm waters, enjoy a stroll along the promenade, grab a bite to eat at a chiringuito or head to the western section of the beach (San Pedro) for evening entertainment and lively beach clubs.
Puerto Banus is a 5-minute drive away and is considered to be the most glamorous place on the Costa del Sol. Once a traditional Spanish fishing village, today it attracts a glitzy crowd and is known for its designer stores, Michelin-starred restaurants and glittering marina filled with massive yachts. The area has several beaches, including the popular Nueva Andalucia beach, where you can rent a kayak and swim in the calm waters. Afterwards, brush the sand from your feet and browse the designer stores or stop at the harbour for some delicious seafood and a cool drink. Away from the seafront, authentic Spanish department stores and local boutiques can also be found, including a colourful Saturday market in the bullring in Nueva Andalucia.
In Nueva Andalucia, golf lovers can also enjoy some of the finest courses on the Costa del Sol, and just 10 minutes from the villa, you'll find the famous Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and Aloha golf courses. After a day on the green, stop at Aloha Pueblo village. It's a charming spot built to resemble an Andalucían village and a pleasant place for a stroll with its piazzas and squares, fountains and flowers.
Although the region is famous for its glitz and glamour, the area dates back to Roman times. In the heart of Puerto Banus, history-lovers can explore the ruins of a Roman villa dating back to the late first or early second century. After viewing the stunning detailed mosaics, be sure to head 5 minutes by car to San Pedro and discover the sixth-century Christian basilica and Roman bathhouse.

Best Suited For: All AgesChildren will love the cool, tropical vibe of this home, and the open-plan living area means there is plenty of space for everyone. Unwind on the huge sofa and enjoy a film on the television or rack up the balls on the billiard table. But when the sun is shining, they will probably want to spend the day splashing in the pool and playing in the lush garden. Come dinnertime, prepare kids favourite meals in the outdoor kitchen and serve them on the beautiful terrace.
A few minutes walk from the villa is Playa de Cortijo Blanco, where children can swim in the calm waters or build castles in the sand. Afterwards, grab an ice cream or snack at one of the beachfront chiringuitos. It's a 10-minute drive to the cable ski and wakeboarding centre in San Pedro for further activity. Here, older children can practise their water skiing skills while the rest of the family can relax and soak up the sun on the loungers.
If you want to spend the day spotting big game animals, drive 15 minutes to Selwo Aventura. Home to more than two thousand resident animals, children can enjoy viewing hippos, elephants and lions. The animals have large enclosures, so the animal park can be explored on foot or in a four-wheel drive while those for a head for heights can cross hanging bridges and spot species in the treetops and lake beneath.
For a more madly active day, hop in the car and drive 25 minutes to Aventura Amazonia. This park is the largest adventure park in Andalusia and is a great day out for the whole family. Plenty of challenges and courses include zip wires through the pine trees and bridges across the forest.
