Ideally located in the picturesque town of Villahormes, between the popular Asturian destination towns of Ribadesella and Llanes, stands Casa Posada, a traditional-style three-bedroom villa accommodating up to six guests. Oozing warmth and comfort, this architecturally stunning holiday home offers guests the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern design.

Casa Posada features a bright and inviting interior with neutral decor and plenty of natural light. The living area has cosy sofas and well-crafted wooden furniture, as well as a flatscreen TV and a dining area with ample space for the whole family, giving the villa a really welcoming, homely vibe. The kitchen is spacious and modern, with plenty of food preparation areas and all of the appliances you’ll need to create memorable family feasts during your stay, as well as offering beautiful views of the garden and the villages and mountains beyond.

The villa’s three bedrooms are equally charming, with exposed ceiling beams, stylish furnishings and all showcasing those spectacular views. There is one double bedroom and two twins, making Casa Posada an ideal choice for larger families or perhaps a group of friends holidaying together. The rooms are not ensuite, but the villa does feature two bathrooms and a small washroom, so there should be no arguments when everyone’s trying to get ready at the same time!

Casa Posada has its own private garden that offers guests the perfect place to relax and entertain. There is a nicely-maintained lawn area and a fully furnished, shaded porch - an ideal spot for enjoying after-dinner drinks and conversation or settling down with a good book as you watch the world go by.

Casa Posada benefits from a rural village location, surrounded by plenty of wide-open spaces and a magnificent mountain range. Less than 1km from the villa are three of the region’s most beautiful beaches; Gulpiyuri, San Antolin and La Huelga - and they all have something very different to offer!

Playa de Gulpiyuri is, strangely, the beach without a coastline - in fact, it is situated over 100m from the sea! Often referred to as the ‘world’s smallest beach’, this tiny, picturesque 40m stretch of golden sand is also often voted Asturias’ best beach. Gulpiyuri (water circle) is a natural monument surrounded by cliffs and featuring crystal clear waters. It is actually a flooded sinkhole whose water levels are entirely dependent on the tide, but mostly remain at knee height, making it popular with those who want to paddle rather than swim or who are visiting with young children.

San Antolin is a long beach of white sand that is particularly popular with surfers thanks to its heavy swell, and because the trout-rich River Bedon flows into the sea here, it’s also frequented by fishermen. The beach features ample parking and stunning views and is flanked by a viaduct - a spot popular with bungee jumpers.

La Huelga is the quietest beach of the three and is a sandy formation dotted with marshes and rocks that features a moderate swell. Like San Antolin, the beach is popular with fishermen and is also the perfect spot for a sunset beach picnic.

Casa Posada is close to the popular town of Ribadesella, one of the most charming coastal towns in the region, and offers plenty to see and do, including prehistoric caves to explore and stunning architecture to marvel at, and plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. The vibe here is very laid-back and relaxed, with the focus being on beautiful views, quiet walks and authentic Asturian cuisine. For something quite spectacular, be sure to visit Bufones de Pria, the massive geysers that have been formed over the years by the waves creating holes in the cliffs. As the waves crash, the water is forced through the holes and is blown high into the air, making for some really epic scenes.

Casa Posada has plenty to offer families with children, from its private garden and peaceful, rural surroundings, to the choice of twin rooms, flatscreen TV and Wi-Fi, providing some familiar home-from-home comforts.

The villa's location means that some of the very best beaches in Asturias are right on your doorstep and provide plenty of opportunities to paddle, swim and build sandcastles, as well as being able to indulge in surfing, paddleboarding, and snorkelling.

Casa Posada is conveniently close to both Llanes and Ribadesella, both of which are great towns to visit with the kids. Llanes has beaches galore, beautiful scenery, forests, gorges and hiking trails, and older children will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities from exploring caves and quad biking to horse riding and wakeboarding. If you simply plan on beach-hopping during your stay, you have plenty to choose from in Llanes, including the popular Cuevas del Mar. This beautiful sandy stretch can get quite busy during the summer months, but it is well worth a visit with the kids who will enjoy the mixture of white sand and pebbles and calm to moderate swell. The beach features many amenities that make it popular with families, including ample parking, a recreation area, showers, toilets, lifeguards, and places where you can get food and drink.

Little history buffs will enjoy a visit to the town of Ribadesella, whose historic quarter has been declared Property of Cultural Interest and offers an interesting mix of medieval and modernist architecture. The town's bridge divides the fishing port in two, and every first Saturday in August acts as the finish line for Asturias' famous festival, The Canoe Descent of The Stella River. If you head over to the west side of the bridge, the kids will get to enjoy a visit to the Tito Bustillo cave, which contains impressive stalactites and cave paintings, and is also home to a museum that contains the prehistoric findings of the area. This attraction can get busy during the summer months, so we recommend getting there early if you want to be assured admission.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €210 charged to client’s credit card by the owner upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 5 pm. There is the possibility of a different arrival time, but only with prior agreement from the owner at least 3 days before arrival.
Departure time 11 am. There is the possibility of a late departure time, only during the off-peak seasons and with prior agreement from the owner.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Beach towels included? Not available.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Not available.
Minimum stay 5 or 7 nights from beginning-June to end-August. 2 or 3 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Flexible.
