Nestled at the bottom of the mountains Apartment Elessia enjoys easy access to the centre of Morzine which enjoys an excellent selection of bars, cafes and restaurants and a truly wonderful après ski scene which caters for all budgets and tastes. The town is also home to the three main ski lifts that access slopes for type of skier from beginners to powder-hungry experts.
Apartment Elessia offers a stylish contemporary open-style living and dining space. The stylish sofa faces onto a flat screen TV and can be converted to a sofa bed for up to two guests if required. The open kitchen is modern and neat with all the mod cons including, an induction hob microwave, fridge, dishwasher and coffee machine. You can devour hearty feasts at the compact dining space, which faces onto the furnished terrace which has incredible mountainous views.
The separate bedroom is inviting with a plush bed dressed in warm throws and crisp linens, creating a delightful relaxing cocoon. The separate bathroom with a shower, sink and WC is delightfully modern and fresh.

About the surrounding area of Apartment ElessiaPortes Du Soleil has one of the largest skiing terrains in Europe and Morzine is at the heart of this region and attracts ski enthusiasts from all over the world.
Apartment Elessia is in a central location and is well-placed to enjoy the very best of Morzine and all its amenities.
Portes Du Soleil is made up of 12 resorts that straddle France and Switzerland between Mont-Blanc and Lake Geneva. There are over 600km of slopes that provide a huge variety of runs suitable for all levels of skiers. With an abundance of winter sports to sample including snowshoeing, snowmobiling or husky-dog sledging, Morzine is a great choice for groups of friends and families.
Morzine has three main lift stations located in the centre of the village. Super Morzine takes you to the exhilarating slopes of Avoriaz, which has the highest skiing in the area. Avoriaz also has some of the best snowparks in the Alps and is home to Europe’s first freestyle park. The Pleney lift is a firm favourite with families and is also very popular with beginners and low intermediate skiers because of the lovely long blue runs and open reds which return to the village or provide access across to the ski resort of Les Gets. Thrill seekers and adrenalin junkies head to The Nyon lift located at the North end of the valley. The lift accesses the Nyon-Chamossiere Sector at 2010m which boasts two amazing runs as well as some challenging off-piste options.
Morzine is a truly charming and authentic village offering a wonderful selection of local restaurants, patisseries, shops and bars, however the mountains are the real star with stunning snowy pistes and in the warmer months, several fantastic hiking paths and mountain bike trails, considered by many to be the best in Europe, as well as Lake fishing at Lac Mines d’Or and Golf at the Morzine-Avoriaz & Les Gets golf courses.
Morzine comes alive when the lights go down and Morzine is renowned for offering a buzzing après ski scene. At the foot of the slopes as skiers end their day the masses head to Bar Tremplin, arguably the best après ski bar in Morzine with DJs spinning classics from 4pm and a terrace in the sunshine. There is a great choice of excellent restaurants in Morzine suitable for every budget, and nobody should bypass the wonderful mountainside restaurants with terraces where you can enjoy long lazy lunches or lively fun-filled evenings.

Best Suited For: All AgesMorzine is a fantastic ski resort with slopes for all levels of skiers and children are particularly well catered for. Morzine is very proud of its Famille Plus status award for its excellence in catering for families with kids.
Apartment Elessia is in a great location at the bottom of the Pleney slopes which gives access to the Les Gets ski area which is perfect for beginners and little ones.
Morzine has a great selection of ski schools specialising in teaching children from the age of 3. Children can be signed up for half or full days with upgrades available, including childcare before or after the lesson and lunch if required. There are also nursery facilities and children’s clubs for fun activities. For a hassle-free vacation, there are childcare agencies where you can book nannies for babysitting or hire baby essentials such as car seats, high chairs, booster seats, changing mats and cots to cut down on the packing!
Sledges can be taken onto dedicated slopes and at the bottom of the Chavannes in Les Gets there’s a dedicated area for families with small children. Older kids can also enjoy the thrill of guided night sledging from the top of the Pleney lift after the slopes are closed to skiers. Its loads of fun and you’ll be lucky if you manage to stay in your sledge the whole way down! Children aged 8-11 must be accompanied by an adult.
In the warmer months, summer sledging or luge takes place on the hillside close to the Pleney gondola in Morzine centre. Take the lift up and sledge down 150 metres to the bottom. There are two trails of different lengths and difficulty levels, starting from the Crusaz chairlift. Available from early July to early September Children must be 3 years old and under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Families can enjoy hours of fun in the glorious 30-degree waters of Aquariaz in Avoriaz, Europe’s highest water park (open Monday to Saturday throughout the winter season). Aquariaz has everything, from river rapids and Jacuzzis to flumes and water cannons - just the thing to help defrost frozen fingers and toes.
For tired legs and an escape from the snow you can check out the Cinema Rex in town and enjoy the latest blockbusters, or visit the Mechanical Music Museum located opposite the Tourist Bureau, which should charm and delight the little ones with interactive exhibits and a wonderful open air merry go round.
