Apartment Mael is a bright, sunny two bedroomed apartment sleeping up to 7 guests located close to the Super Morzine gondola in the beautiful Alpine village of Morzine. 

Enjoying fabulous views and tastefully furnished, this welcoming haven has the excellent amenities of Morzine on the doorstep, making this an ideal spot for families and groups requiring easy access to the slopes and the town.

With over 650km of stunning skiing terrain, you are at the heart of the giant Portes Du Soleil, one of the world’s most significant lift-served ski areas shared by twelve Swiss and French resorts and provides exceptional skiing and winter sports for all levels.

While known as a superb Ski and snowboarding resort in the cold winter months, Morzine is a popular destination year-round and is regarded as one of the top spots in Europe for mountain biking. Other activities to enjoy in warmer months are hiking, horse riding and white water rafting.

Morzine is renowned for its lively après ski scene and a superb selection of popular bars and restaurants, all with little quirks. Be sure to sample the strong local beer Mutzig which will certainly get you in the party mood! Morzine also has great shopping where you can pick up souvenirs of your alpine adventures.

Apartment Mael is on the top floor of a pretty chalet-style residence and beautifully combines Alpine features with contemporary living. The apartment has high vaulted ceilings, white-washed walls and blond wood floors, making an attractive backdrop to modern furnishing. The bright and airy living and dining area offers a stylish, relaxed ambience with a large squashy sofa and statement chair set around a TV and wood-burning fire. The sofa can be converted to a sofa bed for up to 2 guests if required. The modern dining table is set in front of floor-to-ceiling windows and south facing furnished balcony and enjoys beautiful mountainous views over Morzine creating an ideal spot for fabulous feasts. The modern white open kitchen has two counters and is well equipped with all the mod cons offering chefs everything they need to rustle up tasty treats.

The two separate bedrooms are simple and fresh and offer great flexibility for guests. Bedroom 1 is a double bedroom that can be arranged as a twin bedroom and Bedroom 2 is a triple bedroom that can be arranged as either three single beds or a double bed and single bed combination.

The modern compact Bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink and WC and there is free Wi-Fi available as well as a Parking space and Ski locker on the premises.

Apartment Mael is in a prime location in the beautiful village of Morzine, with close access to the Super Morzine gondola and mountain activities, it offers amazing views of the Pleney Mountain.

Morzine is a fabulous Ski and snowboarding destination at heart of The Portes du Soleil, one of the world’s largest and most picturesque ski regions. Made up of 12 resorts that straddle France and Switzerland between Mont-Blanc and Lake Geneva, .there are over 600km of slopes that provide a fabulous variety of runs. With all sorts of winter sports available including snowshoeing, snowmobiling or husky-dog sledging, Morzine is a great option for families and larger groups.

Morzine has three main lift stations and Apartment Mael is near the Super Morzine gondola, located in the centre of the village. Super Morzine takes you to the exhilarating slopes of Avoriaz, which has the highest skiing in the area. Avoriaz also has some of the best snowparks in the Alps and is home to Europe’s first freestyle park.

On the other side of the town is Pleney lift, popular with beginners and low intermediate skiers because of the lovely long blue runs and open reds which return to the village or provide access across to Les Gets, which is popular with families with children.

The Nyon lift is located at the North end of the valley and accesses the Nyon-Chamossiere Sector at 2010m and is ideal for thrill seekers. There are two runs as well as some challenging off-piste options.

For a small mountain town Morzine really punches high with its choice of restaurants and bars and offers a fabulous après ski scene. From afternoon dancing on tables to upmarket fine dining, there is a marvellous choice for every taste and budget. There are wonderful mountainside restaurants with terraces where you can enjoy long lazy lunches or lively fun-filled evenings and La Folie Douce in Avoriaz has easy access on skies or on foot and offers excellent après ski time with fine dining and the ultimate disco party and if you want to party until early morning there are two clubs attracting superb DJ’s.

Morzine is a great destination year round destination with plenty of activities to enjoy in the warmer months, including Mountain trekking alongside fabulous dedicated mountain biking trails, Lake fishing at Lac Mines d’Or and Golf at the Morzine-Avoriaz & Les Gets golf courses.

Morzine is a fantastic ski resort with slopes for all levels of skiers and families with children are particularly well catered for. The town of Morzine is a family friendly haven enjoying endless amenities and activities as well as having really good family friendly restaurants. The little ones are going to love this snowy paradise.

Morzine has a great selection of ski schools that specialise in teaching children from the age of 3. Children can be signed up for half or full days with upgrades available to include childcare before or after the lesson and lunch if required. There are also nursery facilities and children’s clubs for fun activities. For a hassle free vacation, There are childcare agencies where you can book nannies for baby-sitting or where you can hire baby essentials such as car seats, high chairs, booster seats, changing mats and cots to cut down on the packing!

Morzine offers plenty of activities for children that do not ski and for children under the age of 3. Babies and toddlers can get a taste for some downhill action on the small slopes. 

There are plenty of exciting activities to enjoy in this winter wonderland and kids will love visiting the dedicated sledging slope at the bottom of the Crusaz chairlift. Children from the age of 6 can sledge safely during the day. Older kids can also enjoy the thrill of guided night sledging from the top of the Pleney lift after the slopes are closed to skiers. Children aged 8-11 must be accompanied by an adult.

Kids big and small will love the aquatic paradise ‘Aquariaz’ in Avoriaz. Boasting Europe's highest water park (open Monday to Saturday throughout the winter season). Take a plunge into the glorious 30-degree waters and enjoy the lazy river, tube slides, toddler’s paddling pool & water playhouse and large pool with natural climbing walls. Just the thing to help thaw them out from snowy adventures!

A wonderful treat for the little ones is a visit to Morzine’s outdoor ice rink with colourful lights and lively music located in the Town Square. If the weather is bad, you can still skate in Morzine at the Palais des Sports which boasts a large indoor ice rink and is also a place where you can watch loud lively Ice Hockey matches.

If you need an escape from snowy adventures, the town cinema shows all the latest releases and is a great option for tired legs.
