Sleeping up to six guests across three comfortable bedrooms, Apartment Sylvie has all the space you need to kick back and relax in style. Set across a single floor, the apartment’s open-plan living area is located down a short hallway from the entrance and features a large L-shaped sofa and a large flat-screen TV with a DVD/Blu-Ray player, perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The adjacent dining area boasts a large wooden table and chairs, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains through the room’s bright window, which also leads to a spacious balcony.
Tucked back from the main living space is a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances, including a fridge and dishwasher, to make cooking meals a simple and enjoyable task during your stay.
Apartment Sylvie’s bedrooms are comfortably furnished with plush beds, soft bedding, and fluffy pillows, ensuring guests get a good night’s sleep after a long day on the slopes. Its three distinct bedrooms have been designed to accommodate guests of all needs. The largest room features a large double bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom, while the two additional bedrooms have access to shared bathroom facilities. An additional double bedroom and a two-sleeper bunk bed room are available, ideal for children.

The location is ideal for ski enthusiasts, as it is only a short walk away from the lifts and slopes, providing easy access to some of the best skiing in the world.
To get to Val d’Isere itself, you can take a flight to Geneva, Lyon or Chambery Airport, all of which are within a few hours’ drive of the resort. Alternatively, there are direct trains to Bourg-Saint-Maurice station, just a short bus or taxi ride away from Val d’Isere. You can also drive directly to Apartment Sylvie in your vehicle or rent one at the airport.
Once settled in the resort, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in the area, in addition to skiing, including snowshoeing, ice skating, and sleigh rides. You can also explore the town’s charming streets at your leisure, filled with enticing boutiques, cosy cafes, and world-class restaurants, all of which offer a taste of traditional French culture and cuisine.
The resort is also well-known for its lively apres ski scene, with a fantastic selection of events, clubs, and bars to explore after a day’s skiing.

The Resort
Val d’Isere is the oldest of the French ski resorts and a gleaming icon at the end of the valley where the residential town lies. Surrounded by what is arguably some of the most beautiful mountain landscape in the world, the chalet village is centred around a charming baroque church. It’s a lovely place for wandering, taking in the cosy atmosphere and spending quality time with your favourite people.
Val d’Isere is composed of three skiing sections. These are La Daille, Val d’Isere centre and Le Fornet, all of which are linked by a free shuttle service. Alongside Tignes, the resort is part of a wider ski area known as Espace Killy, and a lift pass will get you access to its entirety. Ski season in both resorts stretches as long as May.
Thanks to its high altitude, Val d’Isere is probably your most snow sure option for skiing in the French Alps. The village rests at 1850 metres and its peak on top of the La Grande Motte glacier is 3456 metres high. Sixty per cent of the resort’s pistes are set above 2200 metres, meaning that the skiing is consistently good but on rare occasions, bad weather can cause the slopes to close. It’s also important to keep in mind that Val d’Isere isn’t the best choice if you’re just finding your feet on the snow, and beginners may well find themselves challenged. On the flipside, Val d’Isere is one of the top choices for experienced skiers and snowboarders, with plenty of challenging black runs (such as the iconic Face the Bellevarde, where the 1992 Olympic men’s downhill was run).
And to go with some of the most exciting and picturesque skiing in France, down in the village you’ll find some amazing bars and restaurants. What better way to celebrate conquering that tricky black run than by indulging in some equally entertaining après-ski? On the mountain itself, you can start your evening with DJ’s and live music at La Folie Douce until the lifts close and then work your way into town.

While indoors, Apartment Sylvie has plenty of amenities that kids will love. The living room has a TV and DVD player, which are perfect for movie nights after a long day of skiing and exploring the surrounding area. There's also complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi available throughout the property, which kids can use to keep connected to friends and family back home or stream their favourite media to unwind.
During the winter months, skiing and snowboarding are the main activities in Val d'Isere. The resort offers a variety of ski slopes suitable for all levels, and there are ski schools available for children who wish to learn new skills or boost their confidence in a supportive, dedicated environment. Newcomers to the snow can join in with lessons to learn how to ski or snowboard in a fun environment with other kids their age.
In addition to skiing, Val d'Isere has plenty of other winter activities for kids to enjoy, such as jumps and rails, which are great for more adventurous visitors who want to try their hand at freestyle snowsports. Away from the slopes, there are also ice-skating rinks, toboggan runs, and cinema experiences for kids to enjoy.
