Chalet Vol et Avion

The magnificent ski chalets, Chalet Vol and Chalet Avion can be let together to accommodate up to thirty guests in thirteen bedrooms. It is a fantastic option for large groups of friends and family. Both chalets sit together in the fabulous, smart, upmarket Black Diamond complex of Tignes Les Brevieres. Both chalets are sprinkled with parts of a Nord Noratlas 1950’s aircraft and enjoy an aircraft theme throughout. Chalet Vol enjoys six luxurious adult bedroom suites and one spectacular children’s room for four excited young skiers whilst Chalet Avion offers five adult rooms and one children’s room, again sleeping four. Both chalets boast an exception wellness spa with a sauna, steam room, fitness room and a jacuzzi on the terrace. Chalet Avion also offers an endless list of games including table tennis, table football and pool. The chalets are located just fifty metres from the nearest access point to the slopes in Tignes Les Brevieres. This charming, authentic village boasts a charming array of shops, bars and gourmet restaurants. The restaurants are so good, many visitors staying in Val d’Isere ski across the L’Espace Killy to check them out. Tignes Les Brevieres is nestled at the base of the famous Tignes’ dam with a gondola and chairlift that takes you up the mountain to just above Tignes Le Lac. There you can ski to the main lifts of Tignes and on to Val d’Isere if you wish. Tignes and L’Espace Killy boasts a sensational, high altitude with the Grande Motte glacier as a backdrop. With record snowfalls, the area is a pretty safe bet for skiers. Tignes boasts 97 lifts including two high speed funiculars, one which transports you from Tignes Val Claret to the panoramic restaurant on the Grand Motte Glacier. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, visitors to Tignes enjoy an endless list of activites including ice diving, dog sledding, hang gliding, skidoo riding, ice climbing, parascending, ski-joring where you are pulled along by horses, skating, snowshoeing, indoor tennis and heliskiing.

The interior design of Chalet Vol et Avion is captivating, fascinating and seriously impressive. As you tour the two properties, you will quickly realise that a Nord Noratlas 1950’s aircraft has landed. The aircraft is crafted into furniture and decor with sleek lines and fun features. Like Chalet Avion, Chalet Vol offers six hundred square metres of incredible, eye-catching space. You will be taking a seat at a table crafted from the plane’s wheel and landing gear. Chalet Avion is equally peppered with parts of the aircraft and aircraft themed art. The chalet’s astonishing dining table is built from an aircraft wing and the children’s bedroom is just magical with its ‘aviation’ inspired decor and playspace. Both chalets are clad in warm wood and boast trendy log burning stoves, offering a typical alpine feel too.

Chalet Vol is furnished with super cool, curved leather sofas that are adorned with an array of faux fur cushions and throws. Huge glass doors open to a furnished terrace where you will enjoy superb mountain panorama. There is a table football game for some friendly competitive fun. Guests can dine in style at the unique dining table, having cooked a feast in the seriously smart, contemporary kitchen with the very best of appliances.
