Overview
Flanked by rugged Alpine peaks and tree-lined pistes, Chalet Chardonneret Bleue is a newly refurbished five-bedroom luxury chalet for twelve. Located in the picturesque hamlet of Raffort, it’s nestled in the valley of Les Allues — one of the largest and most celebrated ski destinations in the world.
Embark on the Olympe lift, which is only 200 metres from the village and experience the teeming Meribel Centre and rolling slopes of 3 Valleys.
The chalet blends the rustic charm of a ski cabin with a wealth of modern facilities. A decor of soft palates and raw wooden elements radiate a sense of calm and tranquillity.
After a hard day on the slopes, find solace in the private hammam. Soak your aching muscles and unwind for hours.
The living room is elegant and brightly-lit, adorned with glistening wooden accents and snug furnishing. Bask in the warmth of the crackling fireplace and have a cosy time indoors with loved ones. Large glass windows all around allow ample natural light, offering panoramic views.
If working remotely, you can make use of the free Wi-Fi. With a satellite TV, SONOS speaker and blue-ray player, there’s no shortage of entertainment.
Dig into hearty meals at the large dining table. If you’re travelling with toddlers, you can request high chairs from the staff.
Whip up your own creamy fondue with the fondue appliance. The kitchen is spacious and open-plan, with wooden cabinetry and an island countertop. It includes a dishwasher, dryer, refrigerator and freezer.
All five bedrooms are cosy and inviting — with three located on the ground floor. Two of them feature a double bed, which can be separated into twin beds. The third one is the kids’ room that comes with two bunk beds (sleeping four). The remaining two bedrooms are on the upper floors. While both have double beds, one of them can be turned into single sleepers.
All bedrooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, with a towel dryer, hair dryer and independent toilet.
To make your stay as pleasant as possible, the chalet takes great pride in its ultra-efficient and courteous housekeeping staff. Scheduled cleanings during your stay, as well as end of stay cleaning is provided. Other facilities include a boot warmer, parking space and ski locker.
As part of Les Trois Vallées — one of the most breath taking ski areas in the world, Chalet Chardonneret Bleue is a winter home unlike any other.

The Resort
Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.
At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.
The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.
Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThe chalet is sure to get the approval of kids and adults alike. They can build snowmen, play-fight with snowballs and indulge in an assortment of activities like hiking, horse riding and cycling.
After a long day outdoors, they can catch up on their favourite cartoons or have a slumber party in the kids’ room. Treat them to an evening of relaxation in the private hammam. If you wish to arrange for high chairs or baby cots, the staff will be happy to help.
Chalet Chardonneret Bleue is at a striking distance from nursery slopes, vibrant ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and fun-filled activities nearby.
Meribel is a haven for the entire family, with many attractions specially designed for the little ones. Head to Olympic Park and go ice skating on the rink. Kids can show off their skills in the bowling alley, which has a few lanes specifically meant for children over three. Splash around in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids’ section.
Make way into Cinéma du Mottaret, a cosy one-screen experience that shows children’s films every evening. Take an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and majestic peaks at Courcheval Altiport, which is about 45 mins by car from Meribel Centre.
After all this adventure, kids surely deserve treats. At Rond Point restaurant, they can sample the best ice cream sundaes in town. For something savoury, dig into a bowl of cheesy fondue at La Fromagerie.
