Overview

Chalet Ideal for Kids Walk to Village Parking Space

Jagged icy peaks, rolling pistes and ultra-modern luxury — Chalet Bouvreuil is a two-bedroom winter getaway for five guests. Located in the tranquil hamlet of Meribel Village, it’s part of the Les Allues valley — one of the largest and most privileged ski areas in the world. Less than 100m from Meribel Centre and attractive ski slopes, it’s a haven for cosy family holidays and winter retreats.

The chalet brings together the rustic charm of an Alpine ski cottage with the comfort of modern living. Its chic wooden architecture is blessed with unobstructed views of snowy mountains. Large sliding windows allow a profusion of natural light and offer extraordinary sunset views.

The living area is bright and roomy, with robust wooden furniture, stylish lighting fixtures and sudden pops of colour. The convertible sofa-cum-bed is perfect for indoor lounging. You’re never short on entertainment, thanks to the TV and SONOS speakers.

If working remotely, you can make use of the free Wi-Fi. The chalet is also kitted with a ski locker, boots heater, outdoor furniture and garage.

Savour intimate family meals at the 6-seater dining table. If you’re visiting with toddlers, you can request highchairs from the staff. The kitchen is open-plan and fully furnished, with glossy countertops and modern cabinetry. It has a beautiful west-facing terraced extension. Amenities include a fridge, freezer, induction hobs, dishwasher and blender. Whip up your very own fondue recipes using the fondue appliance.

The master bedroom is provided with a luxurious double bed. Enjoy your morning coffee on its private balcony in the company of gorgeous mountain views. Unwind before your very own TV after a hard day on the slopes. The room also includes a safe. The bathroom is en-suite — with a shower, towel dryer, hair dryer and toilet.

Located on the same floor, the second bedroom is the family room. It features a single bed and a truckle bed, which accommodates two people. An independent water closet is available.

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the chalet takes great pride in its ultra-efficient and courteous housekeeping services. Beds are made before your arrival, and you are given a fresh supply of linen and indoor slippers. There is also end of stay cleaning.

The Resort

Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.

At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.

The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.

Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

The chalet promises an incredible time for kids. There is plenty of space for them to run amok, build snowmen and play-fight with snowballs. Take them for scenic hikes, horse riding and cycling adventures. After a long day outdoors, they can watch their favourite cartoons in the TV lounge or play indoor games.

Treat them to warm bubble baths in the luxurious tub. If you wish to arrange for highchairs or baby cots, the staff will be happy to help.

Blessed with a serene location, the chalet is also at an easy distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and attractions in the neighbourhood.

Meribel is a joyous draw for the entire family, with many activities specially designed for kids. Head to Olympic Park and spend a joyous time in the ice-skating rink. The little ones won't get enough of the bowling alley, which has a few lanes specifically meant for children over three. Enjoy hours of splashy fun in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids’ section.

Watch children's films every evening at Cinéma du Mottaret, a cosy one-screen cinema hall. Take an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and majestic peaks at Courchevel Altiport, which is about 45 mins by car from Meribel Centre. Your kids will love taking pictures and sending their social media into a tizzy.

After all this excitement, the little ones surely deserve treats. At Rond Point restaurant, they can enjoy the best ice cream sundaes in town. For something savoury, dip into a bowl of cheesy fondue at La Fromagerie.
