Located in picturesque Méribel in Les Trois Vallées — one of the most spectacular ski destinations in the world — it’s an oasis of tranquillity with a teeming array of shops and streets just minutes away.
If you want to maximize your time on the slopes, this charming estate is the place to be. The Doron slope and Chaudanne are at a striking distance. While adventure junkies can head straight to the closest slope — which is at a distance of only 330 m, those who prefer training can check out the nearest ski school (500 m).

About the surrounding area of Apartment MarmottesA treasure trove of winter-sport activities, Méribel draws tourists from far and wide. Situated near the Doron slope, amongst quaint homes and tree-lined streets — the apartment is at a prime location in magical Les Trois Vallées.
Méribel is home to some of Europe's best tracks and ski slopes. From the apartment, the closest slopes are at a distance of 330 m, while the nearest ski school is only 500 m away. If you're planning to scale long descents like Mont Vallon, the Plattieres or the Tougnete, the ski lift to get there (L'Adret) is only 400 m.
Méribel offers something for everyone. Non-skiers can spend time indoors at the Olympic Park. Make the most of its dazzling ice rink. A swimming pool, gym and spa are also available.
If you're visiting during the holiday season, don't miss the festivities at Rond-point des Pistes. Located on the slopes of Saulire and Dent de Burgin, the neighbourhood offers panoramic views of Mont Vallon and Tougnète. Stroll along its high-altitude terraces, with Folie Douce being especially popular. Go on leisurely walks and marvel at the Savoyard-style chalets the Allues Valley is best known for.
For shopping, head to Méribel Center. This main village, spread out on the eastern flank, is the best place to find unique local stores. Visit the shops on Chaudanne Road, between the Place de la Maison du Tourisme. Savour quiet family meals at La Cantine d'Alvar in La Chaudanne. For a pulsating nightlife, check out bars and pubs like L'Abreuvoir, La Taverne, Le Savoy, le Barometer and Les Saints Pères.

The Resort
Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.
At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.
The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.
Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesApartment Marmottes is sure to get the approval of kids. Set up a slumber party in the cabin with bunk beds. Unwind before the TV and watch your favourite cartoons all day. If you need a baby cot or high chair, they are available on request.
The ski paradise of Méribel has dedicated spaces for children. Take your little ones to Yéti Park, La Piste des Animaux, Piste des Inuits and Piou-Piou Club for a fun-filled day in the French Alps.
For a quieter time, head to Mussillon, La Renarde or the Route des Chalets. The natural setting and serene environment here will give them a taste of true Alpine life.
Enjoy a day of family fun at Méribel Village. Situated at a height of 1400 m, it feels like it’s straight out of a fairy tale with its wooden and stone chalets. A trip to its beautiful chapel is a no-brainer.
