Flanked by majestic snow-capped peaks, Apartment Fontany is a 250-square-metre luxury apartment for ten people with five bedrooms. Located in vibrant Méribel Station, on the top floor of Saulire residence, it's nestled in the valley of Les Allues, one of the largest and most sought-after ski areas in the world.
You're only 250 metres away from the Morel ski lift and Hulotte blue slope. A 15-minute walk takes you to the heart of the Méribel resort, which teems with restaurants, supermarkets, sports shops and even a doctor's office. What's more? You can board a free shuttle right from the front of the residence.
The apartment combines the rustic charm of an Alpine cottage with the comforts of modern living. Take in the view from the balcony, surrounded by lush pine forests and dramatic landscapes. After a long day on the slopes, treat yourself to a rejuvenating time in the sauna.
The living room is warm and inviting, with stylish wooden furnishings and comfy seating areas. Gather around the crackling fireplace and recount stories from your day with loved ones. Large windows allow plenty of natural light. You're never short on entertainment thanks to the TV lounge, which features a TV, Blu-Ray/ DVD player and Home Stereo.
Spend leisure time indoors with a plethora of board games. If working remotely, you can make use of the office space, which is equipped with WiFi and a printer.
Enjoy cosy meals at the large dining table. If you're travelling with toddlers, you can ask for highchairs to make them comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. It includes ceramic hobs, fridge, freezer, kettle and dishwasher. Whip up your own delicious fondues using the fondue appliance.
The residence is provided with a ski locker, safe, garage and ample parking space.
All five bedrooms are fully furnished with tasteful interiors.
Three are located on the lower level. Out of these, two are twin bedrooms. They feature two single beds, a chest of drawers and an ensuite bathroom. One has a private balcony with panoramic views. Also, on this level, the third bedroom comes with a double bed. It's kitted with a chest of drawers, chairs and an ensuite bathroom. Step onto its private balcony and enjoy your morning coffee amidst glorious wintery sunshine.
The remaining two bedrooms are on the upper level. Each is equipped with a double bed, chest of drawers, private balcony and ensuite bathroom. One of these even has a TV for some nightly binge-watching.
Three of the bedrooms also offer cosy bathtubs.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the residence takes great pride in its ultra efficient and courteous housekeeping services. Beds are made beforehand, and you are given a fresh supply of linen and indoor slippers. End-of-stay cleaning is also available.

About the surrounding area of Apartment FontanyThe apartment is located in Méribel, a prime ski resort in the Valley of Allues. With over 600 kilometres of rolling pistes, it's hailed as one of the most exclusive ski areas in the world. Experience the rolling pistes of Mont Vallon, the Saulire, the Tougnete and the Plattieres. High-powered, ultra-modern ski lifts allow easy transportation back and forth.
Nestled in the foot of Raffort village, the residence is at a striking distance from chic boutiques, gastronomical adventures, magical fireworks and trendy nightspots. Take the Olympe gondola lift or the bus to the throbbing Méribel Centre. Winter sports enthusiasts are spoilt for choices with various activities like snowshoeing, dog sledging and heliskiing.
There are plenty of things to do even if you come across bad weather. The Olympic Park by La Chaudanne features a 25-metre swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and climbing walls. Spend hours exploring La Chaudanne. It's choc-a-bloc with trendy shops, eclectic restaurants and cosy pubs. There are options for every kind of pocket. Grab lunch on the terrace of La Cantine d'Alvar, against an awe-inspiring backdrop of Mont Vallon. Sample authentic Indian food at Tsaretta Spice and creamy fondues at La Fromagerie.
Go hiking along 25 km of awe-inspiring trails around the valley. Witness charming villages, frozen lakes and majestic peaks. Post 3 pm every day, enjoy dazzling cabaret acts, singing performances and dancers in colourful costumes at La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel.
The fairytale-like village of Méribel is located at a small distance from Méribel Centre. An oasis of tranquillity, perched at an altitude of 1400 metres. Witness its beautiful wooden and stone chalets. Visit its rustic chapel and feel like you have stepped into the pages of history. The village square is a township unto itself, with free car parking, a supermarket, a bakery and a sports shop. Two restaurants serve traditional Savoyard and French gourmet cuisine. Listen to live music après ski at Lodge du Village.

The Resort
Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.
At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.
The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.
Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThe residence promises an unforgettable time for kids. They can build snowmen, play-fight with snowballs and enjoy a variety of activities like hiking, horse riding and cycling. If they want a breather afterwards, they can watch cartoons on the TV indoors or bring out board games for everyone to play. Treat them to warm bubble baths in the luxurious tub. If you wish to arrange for highchairs or baby cots, the staff will be happy to help.
Blessed with an enviable location, the apartment is also at an easy distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and kid-friendly ski areas in the neighbourhood.
Méribel is full of activities that are specially curated for kids. Head to Olympic Park and have a blast on the ice-skating rink. The little ones can show off their motor skills in the bowling alley, which has a few lanes for children over 3. Enjoy hours of splashy fun in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids' section.
Don't miss Cinéma du Mottaret, a cosy one-screen experience which shows children's films every evening. English language features are marked 'VO' on the advertisement. A 45 min drive will take you to Courchevel Altiport, where you can enjoy an enthralling hot air balloon ride over snow-covered mountain ranges. Your kids will love taking pictures and sending their social media into a tizzy.
After all of this excitement, the little ones would have surely worked up an appetite. At Rond Point restaurant, they can enjoy the best ice cream sundaes in town. For something savoury, dip into piping hot fondue at La Fromagerie.
