Not everything is down to you, however, as each morning a private chef will visit Chalet Rama to help you start the day right with a delicious in-home breakfast service.

The closest major airports to Chalet Rama are Geneva in Switzerland and Lyon in France. Both airports offer private and shared transfer options. A private transfer takes around two-and-a-half hours from each, while a shared transfer will take longer depending on the number of drop-offs ahead of you. If you would prefer to drive yourself, Courchevel is easy to get to. Alternatively, the nearest train station to Courchevel is in Moutier, where you can easily secure a taxi or shared shuttle to the resort.
Once in Courchevel 1850, you’re well served by Chalet Rama’s location as you’ll be able to access the slopes directly in just a few minutes. The chalet is also located close to the resort's many restaurants, bars, and shops, making it easy for guests to enjoy all that Courchevel 1850 has to offer.
In the resort centre, you’ll find a picturesque town with a reputation for luxury and refinement. The Resort
Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.
The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.
With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.
In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

Within the chalet, kids can enjoy the private indoor swimming pool as well as a home cinema where they can watch their favourite movies and TV shows and movies. Complimentary high-speed internet is also available throughout the chalet, so kids can stream and game whenever they like.
Outside the chalet, there are plenty of activities for kids to enjoy in the Courchevel resort. For those new to skiing or snowboarding, the resort offers a fantastic ski school that caters to children of all ages and abilities, where they’ll learn to improve their abilities while making new friends.
For families looking for more adventurous activities, there are also dog-sledding tours and snowmobiling trips available in the nearby area, which can be a fun and exciting way for kids to explore the snowy landscapes.
In addition to the winter sports, there are plenty of other activities available in the resort, such as ice skating and bowling. There is also the Aquamotion water park, which features a range of swimming pools, slides, and other water-based activities, making it a great option for families with younger children.
