Overview
Summer might be sensational, but for lovers of the much-maligned winter months, we welcome you to a truly indulgent winter paradise. Snuggled amongst the piercing French Alps, you’ll find Apartment Patrick in the enchanting Courchevel. There are two primary types of visitors to this sublime area – those who seek solitude and serenity and those who seek adrenaline and adventure. You may very well wish to merge the two.
This beguiling property is a wonderful mix of quaint and traditional Alpine charisma and practical modernity, making it the ideal place to spend your trip. There’s also something truly magical about the natural beauty of the area, marking it out as a real escape from reality. The feel is that of eternal Christmas with its exhilarating sense of anticipation and expectation. Very much like something from a fairy tale, Courchevel is a vast wooded area where you can truly escape the hustle and bustle of the wider world and ensconce yourself in a serene snow globe.
Your property is also perfectly poised, offering access to shops and slopes, so whatever your entertainment preference, it’s all at your disposal. Ideal for a group of six adults, you can spread out across three double bedrooms, one of which boasts its own ensuite bathroom. The living room is a grand but warming space which includes a lounge, dining area and kitchen with counter space. It’s the ideal space to make the most of the light thanks to the large windows and balcony that faces both south and west. This is also the ideal area for communal living whether you want to enjoy a meal together, cuddle up on the cream sofa, watch a film or enjoy the views from the balcony.
You’ll find elegant touches of winter throughout – piled wooden logs, evergreen wreathes, fluffy cream pillows, stonework and striking artwork. The modern touches that thread the house include lighting that mimics the sprawl of stars across the sky, artistic lighting, elegant seating, asymmetrical bowls, hangings, and jaunty items that create a beautiful but thoroughly practical space.
The bedrooms are the ideal place to rest and recuperate after a day on the slopes or shopping. Part the curtains to see the sultry forest beyond and get cosy in this minimalist but indulgent haven. Enjoy the features of your warmly lit bathroom and ease those tired muscles after a day of adventuring.
Get ready for charm, relaxation, beauty and adrenaline. Whatever your preference, you’ll find it all and more here.

The Resort
Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.
The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.
With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.
In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThe area is popular with both adults and children, making it a true haven for families. It’s not hard to see why the area appeals. Its atmosphere is electric and embodies the spirit of Christmas with its festivity and generosity. With such a vast array of activities for all and a cosy chalet environment, you can rest assured that you’ll all make memories for life.
Children can enjoy their comfortable, warm rooms and enjoy the communal space where they can spend quality family time together. Whether you want to snuggle up and watch TV, make meals together, enjoy dinner at the table, lounge about and take in the astonishing mountain views. The chalet is intended for family time, so you can easily hunker down together.
Part of what makes the location so sublime is its authentic Christmas feel. When children awake to snow-capped mountains, lively slopes and charming villages, they make you think they’ve awoken to a dream or accidentally slipped through the wardrobe into Narnia as ruled by the white witch. Children can enjoy one of many ski schools in the area where they can learn to ski whilst making new friends too.
In Courchevel’s town centre, you can enjoy bowling, and visit the Aquamotion sports centre. Here you can enjoy the indoor pools, water slides and outdoor surfing machine.
