Location
About the surrounding area of Apartment KylianYou’ll love staying in the perfectly positioned mountain view Apartment Kylian, situated in the heart of the exclusive jet-set Courchevel 1850, overlooking the French Alps. The apartment is in a classic chalet-style building, with a garage to park your car and a locker for your ski equipment. Within minutes, you are in the town centre, the nearest slope of Front de Neige is just fifty metres away, and you have a choice of the three ski lifts of Verdons, Loze, and Jardin Alpin, to take you to your run of the day.
Courchevel is famous for being the world’s biggest pistes playground, the highest of the Three Valleys resorts, with over six hundred kilometres of connected slopes of every colour. To get to your holiday home there are four international airports within a three-hour radius: Gevena and Lyon, and more seasonally, Chambery and Grenoble. From there, prebook a taxi, hop into a cab, hire a car, or go aboard the regular shuttle bus to take you to your destination. For those of you who are feeling fabulous and flush, charter a helicopter and arrive in style at the private airport, where you can star-spot celebrities.
Apart from skiing, there’s a lot to do and see when you stay in Courchevel 1850. Starting with luxury brand shopping in stylish malls. After a hard morning spending money, pamper yourself in a relaxing spa, with a massage and treatment or two. For something a little more active, there’s hiking, climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, rafting, luging, paragliding, and paintballing. If you fancy practising your swing, there’s a nine-hole golf course with a twenty-seven-bay driving range. Snowshoe, Nordic ski, dog sled, or snowmobile your way across the ice, or take to the skies in a hot air balloon and see the Alps from a different angle. Take it down a notch with a French cookery class, followed by a romantic evening sleigh ride through the snow.
After all that activity you’ve earned yourself an evening’s après ski enjoyment. Courchevel 1850 is full of fabulous bars for you to have some fun before fine dining in one of the six Michelin-starred restaurants, then dance your ski legs off until dawn at one of the resort’s many prestigious clubs.

The Resort
Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.
The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.
With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.
In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesYou and yours will love a vacation in the magical winter wonderland of the French Alps. Apartment Kylian is perfectly positioned in the centre of exclusive Courchevel 1850, where everything you will need for your holiday is within walking distance. You can see the slopes from the windows of your apartment, and the charmingly named and nearest Front de Neige is just fifty metres away. Jump on the ski lifts of Verdons, Loze, or Jardin Alpin, only one hundred metres from the apartment. Your younger ones and beginners may want to attend the local ski school, a short one hundred metres away, where they can learn the basic techniques and best of all, make friends to buddy up with on the ski slopes.
You are spoilt for choice with family-friendly things to do when you stay in Courchevel 1850. Outside the apartment is a children’s garden, whilst in the centre of town is a bowling alley, ice rink, indoor climbing wall, and a cinema showing films in English, something to amuse kids of all ages. There’s canoeing, rafting, mountain biking and paintballing for your older children. And for your daredevil adrenalin seekers, there’s paragliding and skydiving down the mountains for a bird’s eye view over the Alps.
Take a gondola to the lower towns where you will find the Aquamotion Aquatics Centre in the Village, with six swimming pools, slippy slides, and lots of fabulous family fun activities. Enjoy a sleigh ride on a horse-drawn carriage through the mountains, or go mushing on a dog sledding tour. See the Alps in their spectacular snowy glory from a hot air balloon, and visit Les Ecris, where you can see panoramic 360-degree views over the mountains towards Mont Blanc.
In the evenings, stroll and shop in the luxury brand shopping malls, then stop at a classic French patisserie for steaming hot chocolate and homemade cakes.
