Part of an exclusive new residence, Apartment Hellebore is arranged over two levels, with spacious rooms and elegant interiors that offer an inviting place to relax with family and friends. Nestled amongst the snowy rooftops of Courchevel Village, Apartment Hellebore enjoys a prime position, moments from local restaurants and shops, whilst being less than 50m from the Grangettes Gondola,  which will transport you to the central lifts to explore the resort's impressive piste map.

Situated in the Rhône-Alpes région, Courchevel offers the ultimate ski resort, made up of five individual villages set at varying elevations and forming part of the popular Trois Vallées. Most north-facing slopes ensure reliable snow cover, whilst an efficient lift network and daily grooming ensure a quality experience. Seasoned skiers should head up to La Saulire, where the Grand Couloir boasts one of the steepest runs in the Alps, or head off-piste to Les Creux Noirs and navigate the challenging east-facing slope. Long blues such as Creux and Foylères are local favourites, whilst those just starting should visit La Tania to find a handful of beginner zones and nursery areas perfect for building confidence. Quality restaurants dot the mountainside, inviting you to stop for a tasty lunchtime snack, and you can sit out on one of the sunny terraces to enjoy views across the snowy peaks. Located next to the altiport, Le Pilatus boasts plenty of charm adorned in typical Savoyard decor, whilst Le Bel Air is a great place for classic French cuisine. Many of the slopes congregate at La Croisette, a central social hub offering an animated nightlife, and with the gondola running until past midnight, guests can spend a fun evening enjoying the live music before heading back down the valley.

Courchevel has plenty to offer away from the slopes, and non-skiers can purchase a pedestrian pass to explore the vast network of alpine trails. Grab a map and pair of 'raquettes' and walk through the wooded pines, or enjoy a gentle sledge ride pulled by a pack of friendly huskies. Several operators offer paragliding year-round, whilst the Luge track at Moriond runs for an impressive 3km and is perfect for those after an adrenaline rush.

Since being built, the resort has welcomed some of the world's most exclusive hotels, many of which welcome non-guests to enjoy their luxury spa facilities or head along the Aquamotion, where you can visit their wellness centre, relax in a snow-lined jacuzzi or indulge in the sauna.

The Resort

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.

The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.

With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.

In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

With its generous layout and cosy atmosphere, Apartment Hellebore is a lovely place to spend a break with all the family. The upper floor bedrooms are perfect for kids, and the living room has plenty of space to spread out in the evenings. Share home-cooked favourites around the table before retiring to the sofa for a board game, or curl up with a mug of hot chocolate and watch a classic movie.

With the lifts less than 50m away, the slopes are easily accessed, meaning little legs won't have to carry their skis very far. Courchevel has an extensive network of runs that cater for all abilities and plenty of ski schools where kids can make friends whilst learning to navigate the snow safely. The Western Ski Park at La Tania always makes for a great time, with an Indian-themed run and various workshops that will entertain kids for hours.

Several toboggan runs can be found across the valley where you can speed down the slopes, race through the snow, or, for a more leisurely experience, hop on the back of a sledge and be pulled along by a pack of charming huskies. The village skating rink is perfect for a fun evening on the ice, or visit Aquamotion to splash around in the centre's swimming pools or enjoy the water slides and wild rivers to be entertained for hours.
