A stunning and charming villa located in Colares, Villa Delino is able to delight guests with its array of fashionable amenities. The exterior of this property showcases a grandiose swimming pool that is surrounded by a chic decking area. As a result, guests can choose to either unwind on a high-end sun lounger or dive into the soothing water of the pool. This villa also makes use of an incredible outdoor lounge area that is ideal for spending quality together as a family. In addition, there is also an outdoor terrace that is fitted with an exquisite dining area, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy an array of delicious meals whilst taking in the amazing views that surround them.
Inside, this property collates a variety of nuanced design features and presents all of them in one fantastic space. The main living area is made up of a large brown leather sofa as well as a lime green sofa. These pieces create an exciting contrast, giving the room a unique sense of character. Guests can also access the outdoor terrace through the large glass doors seen in this room. Opposite the living area is the dining room, a space that includes a large brown table with an accompanying set of yellow chairs. Thus, guests can enjoy their daily meals in an attractive and communal environment. The kitchen adheres to a more simplistic style, using bright white cupboards to build upon a striking and minimalist design. The ground floor is also home to the first three bedrooms. Both the first and second bedrooms contain spacious double beds that provide access to their own private en-suite bathrooms. The third bedroom contains a single bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Therefore, this room is ideal for a child who is able to sleep independently.
Upstairs, you will find the remaining three bedrooms. Bedrooms four and five also contain double beds with access to en-suite bathrooms. As such, this proves that Villa Delino has enough space for guests to live and move around as they please. Finally, the sixth bedroom contains a pair of single beds, making it ideal for two small children or a couple who prefers to sleep separately.

The Park and Palace of Monserrate is a truly flawless landmark that truly exemplifies the natural beauty that this region has to offer. The palace itself is decorated in a Gothic, Indian, and Moorish style, elucidating how rich and diverse Colares truly is. Inside the palace, there is a collection of Romantic statues for guests to marvel at and admire. There is also an expansive garden located outside of the palace, which hosts a variety of native plants and horticulture. The Park and Palace of Monserrate are less than 10-minutes away from the centre of Colares and cost around €8 per guest.
The Castle of the Moors is another significant landmark that is based just over 20-minutes away from the centre of the region. This castle dates back to the 9th century and showcases a rich assortment of artefacts that highlight the legacy of that time period. During a self-guided tour, guests can explore the archaic walls of the castle as well as uncover the awe-inspiring battlements and towers. This tour is perfect if you are looking to explore this region in more detail as it provides incredible scenic views from various points around the castle. Cooking Lisbon is an acclaimed intuition that runs an engaging cooking class just under 45-minutes away from Colares. During this exciting class, guests will be asked to cook, prepare, and serve a high-end three-course meal. This includes a fish dish, a meat dish, and a dessert option. You also have the chance to sample a selection of native wines from local businesses throughout the region. This class also invites guests to try the food made by their fellow peers, helping to create a support community throughout. In the environs of Colares are the beaches of Praia das Maças, Praia Grande and Adraga, and the typical village of Azenhas do Mar, with its whitewashed houses inset in the side of a cliff.
Colares is also a demarcated wine-growing region, producing the very popular and increasingly rare Colares wine, which can be tasted at the Adega Regional, in a very beautiful building in the town centre.

The Lisbon Oceanarium is an outstanding landmark that is considered to be the largest indoor aquarium in Europe. Guests will have the privilege to discover 8,000 animals and plants spread out across 500 species. There is an abundance of exhibitions to uncover, such as sharks, rays, and penguins, all under one roof. This establishment uses both education and conservation to better inform the general public about how they can care for their planet on a more intrinsic level. The Lisbon Oceanarium can be found just 45-minutes away, with tickets costing €19 for adults and €13 for children.
The Sintra Myths and Legends Centre is an interactive exhibit that guides guests through an immersive tale of Colares’ most prominent fictional figures. This attraction contains 17 sound stages, all of which use a variety of technical elements to make visitors feel as if they are travelling to a world filled with fantasy and wonder. There is also a selection of 3D and augmented reality exhibitions, further suspending the disbelief of every guest that chooses to visit. The Sintra Myths and Legends centre is located over 15-minutes away from the centre of Colares, and tickets cost around €3.50 per person.
If you are travelling with older children who are looking to expand their culinary horizons whilst on holiday, Adega Vadia is an ideal place to start. This quaint and rustic restaurant hosts a variety of traditional Portuguese dishes such as expertly cooked octopus as well as mouthwatering tomato rice. The establishment also welcomes a selection of live music events, creating a bustling and amicable atmosphere on a regular basis. For those with a sweet tooth, Adega Vadia also serves an assortment of delectable desserts like chocolate mousse, almond pie, and parfait, offering a range of options for guests to choose from. Many previous guests praise the authentic menu options and delightful outdoor seating arrangement. Adega Vadia can be located less than 10-minutes away from the centre of Colares and is open every day from 12 pm till 10:30 pm.
