One of the most popular attractions throughout this region is Slide and Splash, which can be found around 5 minutes away. Fortunately, this landmark was rebuilt and still holds onto many of its original features, which guests are free to observe and examine in full. In turn, this is a fantastic monument to visit if you are looking to learn more about the history of this area and how this building has managed to form a bond between the citizens of the past and present. THE REGION

Situated some 7 km inland from the magnificent coastline for which this municipality of the Algarve is renowned, the small city of Lagoa has a rural feel that contrasts significantly with the cosmopolitan atmosphere of its popular seaside resorts.

The idyllic town is charmingly traditional and only a short distance from the popular Portimão. As well as being close to some of the best beach resorts in the region and the historic town of Silves, Lagoa holidays have ample charms of their own.

Inserted in a traditionally agricultural and important wine-producing area, Lagoa lies on a small hill rising above flatlands that allegedly once held the lagoon that gave the city its name.

Praia do Carvoeiro is just one of the region’s finest beaches and is situated around 10 minutes away. This restaurant boasts a traditional Portuguese menu as well as a deeply vibrant atmosphere, making it a great place to come if you wish to celebrate a special occasion whilst on holiday. Guests also have the opportunity to delve into an outstanding selection of dishes, such as expertly cooked prawns in a zesty sauce and fresh sea bass with rich spinach. There is also an array of desserts on offer to help appease any type of unwavering sweet tooth. Thus, guests can indulge in a range of deliciously sweet treats like a divine chocolate fondant or a range of tangy sorbets Chrissy is located just a short walk away from the centre of Lagoa and is open Monday-Saturday from 12 pm to 10 pm.

Security deposit €300 charged to the client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full inspection.

Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price. Air conditioning usage is not included in the rental price, it has an extra cost of €70 per week, to be paid with the balance (optional).

Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Pool towels included? No.
End of stay cleaning included? Not included in the rental price, extra €140 to be paid with the balance to OT. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included.
Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.

Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.

    We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this location. Not a criticism but more an observation of how to improve would be to provide extra towels for those staying say more than a week as we found there weren’t enough.

    We stayed in the house for 2 weeks with 3 children and felt completely comfortable. Very quiet complex, short distance to the beach – it is best to go in the morning or evening, as many visitors during the day. The house is super equipped, the pool huge and clean – all in all very cozy. Communication was super fast and reliable.

    Simply put, it’s amazing. The beautiful house, super comfortable, modern and with everything you needed. Super nice and quiet pool and the owner’s service, along with the company of ten.     A beautiful apartment in a peaceful block. At the end of the street a wonderful beach & cafe (steep steps). Benagil a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to good restaurants & kayaking. Lots do within a short drive. A faultless stay – great hosts very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday & would definitely return.

    Great accommodation in a small apartment building with a shared garden and swimming pool. Garden and pool just great. The apartment has its own fenced terrace/garden with a large table, garden furniture and shade. And privacy. Perfectly equipped – especially the kitchen – like at home. Comfortable bedrooms, clean bathrooms, lots of space. Home cinema, washing machine, dishwasher – everything you need. Great location in the most interesting part of the Algarve coast. To the nearest beach (Praia Marinha) 400 m, to two restaurants approx. 700 m, to the supermarket 5 km. Area served by bolt/ Uber but own car is handy. Highly recommend.
