The ground floor serves as the heart of the home, with a delightful double-height living space that seamlessly connects with the garden through elegant doors. If you fancy a day at the beach, some of the finest in The Algarve can be found in Ria Formosa National Park, around 15km away from the home. The beaches here are mostly found on tiny inlets and islands and are protected, pristine beaches which are unspoiled. There are beaches offering Beach Clubs and watersports available too, closer to Faro, meaning you can spend the day at the beach and then head into the city of Faro for dinner.

THE REGION

Estoi is a fascinating little town hidden away a few kilometres from the Algarve coastline. It makes for a perfect home base while exploring the region, although there is not much going on in the village itself.

Estoi is simple and picturesque, with cobbled streets, whitewashed houses and terracotta roofs. You can begin your exploration of the region’s history right here with the Palácio de Estoi, an exquisite rose-coloured rococo palace which is open to the public and nowadays run as a hotel.

Close by there are also the ruins of a Roman villa dating all the way back to the 2nd century AD. But most of what you’ll be doing in the village of Estoi is relaxing and looking on as local life goes around you, as well as travelling to explore the Algarve on your own terms.
