Located in the famous holiday region of Galé in the Algarve of Portugal, Villa do Gale is a stunning home for up to 8 guests equipped within its own pool and overlooking the ocean.

This exquisite holiday home is situated in a residential area of Galé and only a short stroll away from the beach and sea, making it an ideal location for families. The front door opens immediately onto a spacious, stylish living room and open-plan dining area, facing floor to ceiling windows, which allow perfectly for the summer sun to flood through and keep the villa bright. The living room includes comfortable sofas, which look out on to your private pool and terrace, all fully equipped with deck chairs, alfresco dining and an outdoor living space.  This provides the perfect environment for ultimate relaxation in the sun and allows you to make the most of those gorgeous summer temperatures. The kitchen is simplistic in style and provides everything needed to make the most of your self-catering holiday, with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer and even an electric coffee machine.

There are four beautiful bedrooms, all with modern furnishings, giving them an effortlessly homey atmosphere. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one of which is fitted with two beds, and the other room includes one french bed. On the upper floor, there are the two remaining bedrooms, both with one french bed and en-suite. Each room is decorated in simple white and blue colours, to encompass a low-key, and natural style, which is displayed throughout the entire villa. There is also a baby cot available if necessary. A few of the bedrooms include additional living areas and balconies. These balconies not only overlook the pool, but also showcase the beautiful sea view.

The garden provides an excellent environment to combine socialising with individual relaxation. Step straight from the comforts of the living room into the heat and sunshine, inviting you to spend time with your family enjoying the refreshing pool. There are multiple deck chairs provided, which are a necessity for a day sunbathing around the pool. However, the villa also includes a BBQ and outdoor dining furniture so you can make the most of the long-lasting heat and eat outdoors. If you seek some shade throughout your day, there is also an outdoor communal area, equipped with comfortable sofas and a quaint coffee table.

  • A car is recommended as many of the nearby activities and attractions are a short drive away, with a parking space provided.
  • Kids should be careful as there is an open pool and so should be accompanied by an adult at all times when swimming or in the outside area.

Located in the Portuguese district of Galé, Villa do Gale is one of many holiday homes in this famous southern region. Just a stone’s throw away from the beach Praia de Galé there is plenty to do in this quiet, family-friendly area. This stunning beach has both sandy stretches and rocky surfaces worth exploring and is perfect for relaxing and watching the gorgeous sunset over the ocean. With a shop, grocery and supermarket all within 1km and a barbecue in your beautiful garden there are endless opportunities for cooking up a storm, or, if you don’t fancy cooking, there is a restaurant just over 500m away. Learn to ride the waves at the local surf school or take a dive into the deep blue with a diving centre just over 5km away. The area is plentiful in activities to take part in such as horse-riding at the local riding stable, tennis, golf on a beautiful 18-hole golf course or a fun round of mini-golf for those families looking for an active way to spend their days.

Additionally, there are beautiful hiking paths and well-known lakes such as Lagoa dos Salgados just a short journey away. This lake is the centre of a nature reserve, featuring both sandy beaches and a board walk along the lake with great opportunities for activities such as bird watching. As the house is equipped with a parking space, it is ideal for families to bring their car or hire one locally and it is just a short drive to Albufeira, a former fishing village turned beautiful city filled with gorgeous beaches, restaurants and attractions such as Marina Albufeira.

Furthermore, there are attractions perfect for all members of the family in the form of Aqualand and Zoomarine, two adventure-filled water theme parks or Sand City Fiesa with its impressive and intricate sand sculptures.  Every day can be different as there is something for everyone in this area, suiting all family types, whether you are looking for a holiday filled with adventure or simply looking for a place to kick back and relax in the sun.

THE REGION

Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).

In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

Villa do Gale is the perfect holiday home for families. The villa itself is situated in a safe, friendly neighbourhood, however, the area of Galé also provides numerous activities, which are ideal for keeping children entertained.

Having a private pool at the villa is ideal for those days, when you don’t want to venture into the town. Whilst you relax on the deck chairs, your children are free to play in the pool and garden in a secure and intimate space. The privacy provided at the villa ensures their safety and personal enjoyment. For older children, the ensuite rooms and balconies are perfect for giving them their needed privacy. It is also important to note the provision of Wi-Fi, which is often essential for older children these days! The various living spaces available both indoors and out, are a great way to bring the family together, and the BBQ is a fun way to make mealtimes more interesting.

If you want to switch up a day at the villa, for something else exciting there is a selection of different activities in the area of Galé, which the children can participate in. These include the closely situated golf course, surf school, tennis, minigolf and riding stable. The vast range of extra pastimes means there is something for any child of any age to enjoy not forgetting you parents as well! There are also several nearby attractions, which have proved popular with children in the past. Some of these attractions include Zoomarine and Aqualand, both are water parks, with a never-ending number of slides and rides, sure to provide your children with some memorable moments and fulfil their holiday dreams. The Sand City Fiesa, which is only a short twenty-minute drive away from your villa, offers a playground and workshops ideal for children participation. The charming city of Albufeira, which is within twenty minutes from Galé, is another brilliant day out, with a popular beach, a great selection of shops and some fantastic restaurants. If including fitness in your holiday is an essential element, there are some interesting hiking paths in Monchique, which are highly recommended.
