Set on a quiet residential street in Porches, Villa Crastos invites travellers from all over to put their feet up, rest and relax in the gentle sunshine. This stunning traditional villa boasts seven bedrooms and lots of space for guests and visitors alike, making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break with your nearest and dearest.
To access Villa Crastos, you’ll drive right to the very end of a quiet street and enter through an electric security gate which opens up onto a long driveway with ample space for vehicles.
Split across two levels; you’ll find the majority of your amenities and facilities on the ground floor. The property is tiled throughout in traditional earthy tones, keeping the property nice and cool even on the warmest days. Each room is decorated in simple traditional Portuguese stylings, making you feel well and truly at home during your stay.
Your living room is large, comfortably seating all guests with a TV for group viewing and patio doors leading out onto the garden terrace. Following through to the kitchen, you’ll find all you need to cook up delicious meals for your family and friends. For casual bites, a small breakfast bar with seating is located within the kitchen itself; however, the main dining space is located just behind the kitchen in an additional room.
Further dining space is available outside in the garden, with several picnic-style tables around the barbecue and a long dining table nestled beneath a canopy of local trees.
Villa Crastos gives you seven rooms to choose from, each decorated in a similar simple style. Most of the rooms have a private en-suite though some have shared facilities.
The seventh bedroom, however, is slightly different as this room is located on the top floor of the villa and feels like its own apartment with its own kitchenette and fridge, plus access to a cosy roof terrace with tables and chairs.
Outside, you have a large garden complete with a large private swimming pool which sits on a terrace surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. The barbecue and outdoor dining area are located just behind the swimming pool, making outdoor lunches really easy to arrange.

Villa Crastos is ideally located on a quiet street in residential Porches, just a short walk away from most amenities and several nearby beaches. While you can get around on foot, we recommend renting a car during your stay as the area is relatively hilly and walking around may not be suitable for all visitors.
Your nearest beaches are Praia da Cova Redonda, Praia dos Cavalos, Praia Nova and Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha, all about five minutes away by car or twenty minutes on foot. All of the nearby beaches are clean and quiet; however, only Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha has the coveted Blue Flag status, identifying it as one of the best beaches in the area.
There are a few shops, bars and restaurants in the area, but there are even more in neighbouring Praia de Armação de Pêra, a small traditional coastal villa set back from a beautiful strip of golden sand.
To get to Villa Crastos, you can drive in as part of a wider trip with ease, as the area is well served by both local and national rail links. Or, you can make your way to the villa directly from Faro Airport, which is around 40 minutes away by car.

The Region
Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).
In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

But while you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Algarve, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
