Casa Benagaia is a picture-perfect traditional villa located in the quiet Portuguese countryside. On arrival, you’ll be wowed by the traditional quaintness of the villa and its green leafy borders. Access to the villa is via a private security gate with a decent-sized driveway that can easily fit several vehicles.

Inside, Casa Benagaia is decorated with traditional Portuguese simplicity making it the perfect place for a cosy family break in the sun. Your communal space is open plan and airy, kept cool by clean tiled flooring throughout, with a large L-shaped sofa that faces the home’s TV forming the lounge. A full-sized billiards table sits behind the lounge space before moving into a simple dining area.

Separate to the living area is a fully-equipped kitchen for your use throughout your stay. Your kitchen contains all the modern conveniences you would expect, making it easy to cater for groups of any size.

Casa Benagaia has four spacious bedrooms across two floors to choose from, each one decorated relatively simply. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, sharing a single bathroom, and feature two two twin beds each. Upstairs, you’ll find two more bedrooms, each with a double bed, a private en-suite bathroom and access to the villa’s breezy roof terrace.

Outside, you have a large garden full of vibrant plant life and trees, which naturally keep Casa Benagaia shielded from the outside. Just a few steps down from the villa, your large swimming pool is flanked by comfortable sun loungers.

Besides the swimming pool, an outdoor shower is also provided for your convenience. Also, besides the swimming pool is a large outdoor dining terrace and a barbecue, perfect for casual dining in the fresh air.

The area around Casa Benagaia is relatively rural and quiet, making it the perfect place to enjoy a quiet getaway in the sun.

Casa Benagaia is located in the Algarve countryside, about halfway between Carvoeiro and Albufeira. Positioned on a quiet hillside far back from town and amenities, we recommend renting a car during your stay at Casa Benagaia for convenience.

Getting to Casa Benagaia from Faro Airport takes about 35 minutes by car. You can also add a stay at Casa Benagaia as part of a wider trip around the area with ease as the villa is well-served by nearby road links.

Your nearest beach is the beautiful Praia de Armação de Pêra, which is popular amongst families alike for its gorgeous golden sands and calm blue waters. About ten minutes away from your villa by car, Praia de Armação de Pêra is one of two beaches in the area to hold the prestigious Blue Flag certification, marking it as clean, safe, and family-friendly beach to visit.

Behind the beach is Armação de Pêra town, a friendly coastal town where you’ll be able to find all the amenities you need to settle in and enjoy your holiday. Armação de Pêra has lots of little shops, bars and restaurants to try as well as necessities like supermarkets and pharmacies.

For days beyond your villa, the historic town of Albufeira is only 15 minutes away by car, promising lots of fun, history and culture to its visitors.

THE REGION

Carvoeiro has always been known for its beautiful coastline, adorned with cliffs, coves and incredible sandy beaches stretching all the way along to Albufeira. These days, however, there is a lot more going on in this charming town than just waves hitting the sand (although that’s certainly still a highlight).

In the past few years Carvoeiro has developed to accommodate for the growing number of tourists who are curious to see what the fuzz is all about, and the town continues to get livelier and livelier each summer. While it has kept its character and remains exquisitely peaceful, there are also plenty of modern amenities and loads of exciting activities in the area. The only thing Carvoeiro won’t provide is a good party, but there are other parts of the Algarve which are perfect for that.

Casa Benagaia is an ideal location for kids, no matter their age. The large garden makes it perfect for lawn sports and ball games such as football and catch, or even playground games like tag and hide and seek. Kids love having a large swimming pool right in their back yard as they can play in the water whenever they like and only have to share the space with other members of your group.

Inside the property, kids benefit from high-speed Wi-Fi that lets them keep in touch with friends and family back home while they’re away. They can also use the internet to access their favourite entertainment like games, movies and other media.

The nearby beach of Praia de Armação de Pêra is extremely popular with families of all ages due to its large sandy beach and its calm, clean waters. Kids in particular love being able to play in the sand, building sandcastles and sand sculptures, and swimming in the warm blue sea.

Although Casa Benagaia has quite a remote location, you’re never too far from nearby attractions and towns where you and the kids can enjoy a full-filled day out. From Albufeira, you can depart for the day on one of the many organised boat trips. From glass-bottom boat rides to cave exploration and dolphin watching tours, there are lots of choices to keep little holidaymakers entertained.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit A €50 damage waiver is included in the rental price to help you enjoy a peaceful stay. The waiver provides a limited damage cover in case of any damage to the property or its contents (except in the case of deliberate or reckless acts) up to the value of €1,500. Above €1,500, claims will be made to recoup the extra charges incurred to repair any damage. Please enquire if you wish to know more information.
