Villa Sombrinha’s outdoor area is truly stunning; high hedging surrounding the perimeter of the garden allows guests more privacy to completely switch off and unwind. The large kidney-shaped swimming pool allows guests to cool off in the crystal-clear waters without even leaving their villa.
Surrounded by a slew of sun loungers offering guests the best of both worlds, picture sunning in the afternoon followed by a cooling splash in the crystal-clear waters of your own private pool. The garden also contains a lovely outdoor seating and dining area with a built-in barbecue on the terrace for enjoying food and drinks way into the night.
Curved walls are a reoccurring feature at Villa Sombrinha; set on two levels, the villa’s interior is tasteful and elegant, with contemporary features throughout. The ground floor consists of a bright and airy open-plan living and dining area, with a gorgeous fireplace and lots of comfortable furniture for guests to get together and relax.
The dining area, in particular, is truly stunning, with a unique domed-brick ceiling and a round dining table to match. This flows seamlessly into the sleek kitchen, featuring modern fixtures and state-of-the-art appliances. Two bedrooms can also be found on the ground floor, each with twin beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed. There are also two bathrooms on the ground floor.
Upstairs, the spacious master suite and bathroom can be found, as well as a terrace with furniture, a built-in barbecue and deck chairs, which can also be accessed via the pool area. All three of the bedrooms offer stylish serenity and unadulterated comfort, each with their own gorgeous interior ensuring that guests feel at home during their stay in the villa. The bathrooms are also a good size and finished to a very high standard.
Should you wish to explore outside the villa, there is a wide variety of activities nearby to entertain the whole family. The nearest beach is just a short stroll away, and Albufeira beckons with its exciting nightlife, wonderful restaurants and fabulous shopping. Furthermore, with Faro airport only being under an hours’ drive away, getting there could not be easier. With its impressive facilities and ideal location, Villa Sombrinha has everything guests need to relax and unwind completely.

Once a bustling fishing village, it has since become a major holiday destination with tourists flocking from all over the world to enjoy the Portuguese sunshine. With the beach just 2km away, as well as a host of amenities on your doorstep, Villa Sombrinha provides guests with an extremely convenient location.
Albufeira is famed for its stunning sandy beaches and is also home to a busy nightlife strip. Don’t let that fool you though, Albufeira has something for the whole family! Nearby attractions include theme parks, safari, sea experiences, surfing, diving, dolphin spotting, paintball, water sports and much more!
It is an excellent location to people-watch with seafront restaurants being beautiful choices for freshly caught fish and dining under the sunrise or sunset. Galeria de Arte Pintor Samora Barros is in this area and is an art gallery dedicated to showcasing the work of late Portuguese painter Samora Barros.
Vilamoura, also a short drive away, is a trendy seaside town, that attracts a classy traveller. A host of prestigious yachts & boats swarm the Marina, which spills onto a strip of stylish bars, locally renowned restaurants and a casino. The glamour does not end there, like Praia da Marina and Praia de Falesia - two alluringly sandy beaches can be found very close by.
This region of Portugal has a fine reputation amongst golf enthusiasts and has a number of championship courses to choose from. If you have any backhanded thoughts regarding golf, never fear, as Vilamoura has over fifty tennis courts for you to choose from. Numerous water-sports centres scattered within the town allow you to enjoy anything from snorkelling to boat trips.
With a vast coastline that meets the powerful Atlantic Ocean, Portugal is a true paradise for the keen surfer, or indeed even those looking to try if for the first time, with plenty of surfing schools all along the calmer sections of the coast. And even for those less enamoured with surfing, the beaches of Portugal are well worth a visit for their beautifully clear waters.
The closest city is Faro, and it only takes half an hour on the road, so consider renting a car to make the most of your time in the Algarve.

THE REGION
Albufeira is one of the Algarve's top hotspots. It's a charismatic beach town with an energetic and busy vibe where every type of holidaymaker can find something to enjoy. Not only is it family friendly and bursting with great activities for kids and teens, there is also a buzzing nightlife scene on the downtown strip for adults travelling on their own.
If you’re after something a bit more cultural, there is also a beautiful Old Town where all the best restaurants and historical sites can be found. For those looking to get a little bit extra out of their Albufeira stay, Vidamar Resort in the Salgados area offers all the perks of staying in a self-catered villa plus the amenities of a luxury resort.
Not far from there you’ll also come across the beachy Sao Rafael as well as Galé where the sandy stretches and deep blue waves will have you thinking you’re on the set of a photoshoot. Golf lovers might want to head to Amendoeira Golf Resort, located a quick fifteen minutes from Albufeira, which is perfect those who like a good game while still staying close to town.

The private pool in the garden offers a prime space for children to have fun and tire themselves out, while you look on from the comfort of a sun lounger, ensuring you have an opportunity to relax whilst keeping an eye on the little ones. A cot is also available upon request.
The family-friendly environment of the Algarve means that children are welcomed wherever they go. There are plenty of children’s play areas, and activities in Vale do Lobo, including golf, tennis, diving, canoeing, cycling and sailing boat rental. On your doorstep, you will find endless opportunities for an active day out Iberian sun, while the location on one of the best beach areas of the Algarve ensures you can enjoy a traditional family day trip to the beach, where snorkelling, boating excursions and thrilling watersports are all on offer.
There is the fantastic Zoomarine waterpark located in Guia; with several restaurants on the complex and plenty of green space to kick back, mums and dad can have a well-earned break while the kids amuse themselves on the big wheel, log flume and pirate ship: the ideal way to spend a day out. Slide and Splash, located in Estômbar, is full of spiralling water chutes and slides as well as river rapids and a giant jacuzzi. Aquashow another waterpark, located in Quarteira, also offers bird of prey and parrot shows, mini-golf and a wax museum.
Visit Krazy World Zoo in Algoz, where there are not only animals to look at, but lots of activities to get involved in too. Feeding times are always popular, as are the reptile shows. Kids can have a go at pony riding, play mini-golf, take a dip in the tropical pools or enjoy some time at the little funfair. It is easy to spend a whole day at this popular attraction. For the speed demons, there is a fun go-karting centre located very close to the villa!
