Best Suited For: All Ages

Due to the layout of the double bedroom and living space, Apartment Topaz is well suited for a couple’s or friends’ holiday. However, a family can also be accommodated as the apartment sleeps up to 4 guests. The double sofa bed is situated opposite the kitchenette, so it’s certainly a better choice for older kids and teens! Parents should keep an eye on the youngsters as everything in quite close proximity in this cosy flat.

In your local area, the iconic Duomo is a must-visit attraction for families. Before you go, you might even want to take some time to learn about the history and significance of the site by checking out a guidebook or reading online. You can also find out more by visiting the nearby Museo dell ‘Opera del Duomo. If you’re feeling adventurous and energetic, climbing to the top of the Duomo’s dome is certainly an entertaining activity for families. Keep in a mind that it’s a bit of a steep and narrow climb, but the enchanting views from the top are more than worth it! The Baptistry across from the Duomo is another significant religious building, and kids are bound to be amazed by the colourful mosaics. You can also introduce the kids to Italian history by starting at the Duomo Cathedral.

After a long day of exploring, grab some shade in a local restaurant, replenishing yourself with pizza and pasta after a day out on your feet. Eating out as a family certainly won’t be a challenge in one of the top foodie spots in Europe. There are plenty of options to suit all tastes and budgets. Kids are bound to be gleeful when they see the sheer (and sometimes quite wacky!) variety of deliciously tempting gelato flavours. The city also makes a luxurious foodie haven for a couple’s retreat. A great choice is Enoteca Pinchiorri, a Michelin-starred restaurant that offers a gourmet dining experience.
