Overview

Pool Villa/House Quirky Beach Nearby Ideal for Kids Parking Space

Rest and relaxation await you on a holiday to Casa Delizia, a rural home in the North of Sardinia which is just 2.5km away from the closest beach and 7.5km away from the beaches and bars of lively Baja Sardinia.

This traditional stone home sits in a lush garden with lawns, trees and natural granite rock features which are dotted around, with the larger ones offering shade. Outdoors there is also an inviting private pool lined with sun loungers and an al-fresco dining terrace where you are able to fire up the barbecue to prepare dinner for your party. Just outside of the grounds, guests can head out on walks amidst the sleepy farmland and forested areas around the house.

Indoors, the accommodation is set over one level and is spread between the main villa and a unique annexe which is located within a granite cave in the grounds. The main home is centred around a typical rural living and dining room filled with local juniper wood furnishings, a built in seating area, dining table and a Smart TV. There is also a piano for playing a few songs after dinner. Next to the living space there is a well-equipped kitchen with everything you could need for preparing breakfast before a day out.

When you wish to turn in for the night, you can choose between four bedrooms. Three of these bright and airy rooms are all situated within the main villa and boast en-suite bedrooms, while the fourth bedroom sits in the amazing cave in the grounds. The cave dwelling also has a bathroom and a kitchenette so would suit a couple looking for a bit of privacy and a space of their own.

Though the house is rurally set, you will not be isolated here and you can reach the village of Cannigione within a 5.5km drive. Cannigione is a peaceful village on the coast with numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops you can visit. Cannigione also has some pristine, white sand beaches which rival those on the nearby Costa Smeralda. If you would like to visit the famous “Emerald Coast” then head over to Baja Sardinia which is 7.5km away, here you can unwind at exclusive beach clubs and take in the stunning sea views. As the sun sets, Baja Sardinia comes to life and visitors can enjoy sumptuous meals and drinks at chic seafront bars and even dance the night away at the town’s night clubs and discos.

For a delightful day out on the water, why not take a boat to the incredible Maddalena islands where you can spend the day discovering the unspoilt, protected beaches and snorkelling in the crystalline waters.

Casa Delizia enjoys an idyllic setting in the rolling farmland of Northern Sardinia. Here guests can spend lazy days by the pool or walking the country lanes, while the closest beaches and village are under 5.5km away! You are also perfectly placed for exploring the famous Costa Smeralda as some of its gorgeous beaches are under 10km away by car.

Cannigione is where guests can locate the nearest amenities. The village set in a rocky inlet is just 5.5km away and is a lovely place to visit and is enveloped by some truly breath-taking beaches which are less crowded than some of the others nearby. Cannigione was once a small fishing village and is now known for its fantastic diving opportunities and its modern promenade which leads down to the port. The village boasts a good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

If you prefer a bigger, bustling town then why not drive the 7.5km to Baja Sardinia which is the area’s entertainment capital offering a wealth of exclusive bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Baja Sardinia is also home to some amazing white sand beaches with crystal clear water which are part of the Costa Smeralda. The beaches are a great place to simply relax in the sun or to try out water sports such as windsurfing, scuba diving and sailing. In the summer months the town is filled with jet-setters and celebrities, though there are still quiet, nature-filled coves where you can get away from it all and enjoy the pristine surroundings. As well as beaches, Baja Sardinia is also home to theme parks and a water park, plus a great range of eateries and shops where you can purchase souvenirs, jewellery and clothing. In the evening you can tuck in to delicious local dishes in a tucked away trattoria or you could visit a nightclub or disco, there are some rather unique ones on offer here included a disco ship and a nightclub in a cave!

From the coast, you will not be able to miss the La Maddalena Archipelago which is a group of protected islands that can be reached by boat from Baja Sardinia. You can choose between private tours or group trips on vintage sailing boats, motorboats or ferries. The archipelago comprises of sixty islands but most people tend to explore the main seven. On trips to the islands, you will be able to explore unspoilt beaches such as the famous pink beach located on Buddeli island. You can also stop off along the coastline and snorkel in hidden coves which is a magical experience. Those interested in military history may like to visit Caprera island which was the former home of Giuseppe Garibaldi, a famous Italian revolutionary and general who spent decades living here. His home now hosts interesting exhibitions about the general’s life.

If you don’t mind driving a little further, you could visit the lovely town of Palau which is 22km away. As well as offering yet more breath-taking beaches and the imposing Bears Rock which you can hike up to, Palau has a pretty, historic centre. Here you can visit the fortress of Monte Altura and the Ethnology Museum where pre-historic artefacts can be found alongside exhibits on rural life. The charming town also has a thriving market and a range of artisan shops along with a wealth of restaurants and bars.
