What you should know…
- The garden’s fence can be slipped under, so please be mindful of children playing in the area.
- Due to being located on the island of Ischia, a ferry is required to reach this property. Ferries run from Naples to Ischia all year round, although they are much more frequent from April to October than November to March.
- Children over 10 years old are welcome at this resort.
- For larger parties it is possible to rent sister property Casa Ischia (sleeps 2 guests) virtually next door - please follow links for more information. Casa Tramonti and Casa Cila are also located on the same resort.

About the surrounding area of Casa AlbachiaraIschia is an idyllic isle off the coast of Naples, far more laid-back than the famously bustling southern Italian city. Although the island is only six miles wide, it boasts no shortage of attractions and activities.
Casa Albachiara is just a leisurely 5-minute walk from the picturesque village of Sant'Angelo, an idyllic haven renowned for its captivating beauty and serene tranquillity. Stroll through the village's enchanting cobblestone streets, which lead to unbelievable views. Here, you will also find an array of fantastic restaurants, bars, and boutique shops.
However, the crown jewel is undoubtedly the iconic Fumarole Beach (a 6-minute drive away). Here, the island's natural thermal waters provide an indulgent escape, allowing you to immerse yourself in therapeutic relaxation.
Venturing further, Ischia Porto (40-minute drive) combines bustling energy and historical charm, showcasing a mediaeval castle and a scenic harbour for exploration and indulgence. The island's rich history takes centre stage at the Aragonese Castle, an essential stop for enthusiasts of history and nature. The castle is located on a small, dramatically rocky island linked to the main island by a narrow bridge. For a bite to eat after you’ve explored the castle, head to Garden Fruit Ischia.
Ischia is a volcanic island, and so it boasts over a hundred thermal springs, the water of which is purported to have therapeutic effects. Head to the Negombo thermal baths (a 24-minute drive), where there is also a wonderful garden to explore and a range of different pools.
Another great day out is a hike up Mount Epomeo. It’s fairly strenuous, and there are various routes, but the views from the summit are unrivalled.
Ischia's strategic ferry connections offer access to neighbouring coastal towns and islands, with Procida as a standout destination. A mere 15-minute ferry ride brings you to Procida's amazing landscape adorned with impressive architecture, vibrant colours, and maritime heritage, guaranteeing an enriching escapade.

The village of Sant’Angelo is entirely car-free, making its narrow streets the perfect place for strolling with the young ones, popping into gelato shops, and moseying along cobblestones to sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters.
The island’s array of beautiful beaches offers a treasure trove of excitement for children. One of the best beaches for children is Maronti Beach, a 35-minute drive away. Its sandy shores and inviting waters provide ample opportunities for building sandcastles, swimming, and beachside play. Other great beaches for families are Cartaromana, which faces the historic Castello Aragonese and also boasts natural shade in the morning and afternoons, and Mushroom Beach in Lacco Ameno, where a mushroom-shaped rock off the coast provides an interesting backdrop.
Giardini Ravino is one of the most famous gardens on the island, thanks to its broad collection of cacti, succulents, rare plants, and even roaming peacocks. There is also a café on-site to keep the family replenished.
Additionally, the therapeutic benefits of the island's natural thermal waters provide a unique and enjoyable experience for young ones. However, it is wise to confirm whether children under the age of 12 are allowed, depending on the spring you go to.
